Simple to prepare, this garlic pull apart bread is the perfect companion to a warm bowl of soup!

Garlic Pull Apart Bread

frozen roll dough balls

TBSP 1/2 stick butter

garlic cloves

tsp Italian seasoning.

GARLIC PULL APART BREAD

Take out 18 frozen rolls and allow to rest on a sprayed baking pan, 2 inches apart, for approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The rolls will thaw, but still feel chilly, and have just a tiny rise to them.

Once the dough has risen, preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave, and then add in the garlic and Italian seasoning

Spray a bread pan, and place it so it is sitting on it’s small short side. To see a tutorial on how to layer the rolls, click HERE (includes pictures)

Taking a roll, press it between 2 hands to flatten it. Dip it in the butter mixture and place into the pan (again, see pictures). Do the same with a second roll, overlapping the first roll.

Once all the rolls are in, they only fill about 1/2 the pan. Holding the rolls with one hand, turn the pan as it sits normally. Spread the rolls by taking one half and leaning one way, and lean the other the opposite direction. Try to keep them as upright as possible.

If there is any left over butter, sprinkle it on top.

Don’t allow to rise, as they will pop out of the pan!

Bake at 350 degrees fro 25-30 minutes. The rolls are done when they are hollow sounding when tapped and the middle is no longer raw.

Allow to cool on a wire rack. Once cooled, you can serve in a pan, or display on a platter.

These were amazing! I had my husband work on these for Christmas dinner while I made other things and he griped at the number of dishes this requires but the end product was great! He cut into 16 rolls instead of 15 because that's much easier to make them even sized rolls, just keep halving your dough.

I've made these twice now in a weeks span and I'm about to make my third batch tonight because my kids keep eating through them like candy. I usually love changing up a recipe to really satisfy some specific craving someone in the house has but these are perfect as is in our book! They are easy enough to make for a weeknight dinner but taste delicious enough to compliment a fancy feast. These might have to be my new go to.

I tried this tonight with dinner. It didnt turn out soft and fluffy and was more like a biscuit then a bun. Would try it with a bread flour maybe instead of all purpose.

I made these tonight and they were GREAT. I followed the recipe exactly, except I ended up microwaving my milk for an additional 20 seconds after using a thermometer to check the temp after the first round of 40 seconds. I also covered the rolls with tinfoil at 20 minutes to keep the tops from getting too dark while they finished baking. The only thing I would change next time is maybe putting a little bit more cheese in the dough, and maybe some chopped garlic as well. Overall an amazing recipe and very easy to follow for inexperienced-bread bakers like myself!

Easy and cheesy! Just the way I like it. Well Eazy Peazy is more like it, but these fit the bill for both, and are sure to please whomever you have at your table.

Cheese Stuffed Garlic Rolls

Rhodes frozen white dinner rolls

mozzarella cheese

butter

Tbs minced garlic

Set Rhodes rolls on a parchment lined baking sheet

Let rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until cold to the touch still, but bigger and are defrosted.

Cut cheese sticks into thirds, and add one piece to each roll by folding the dough around it and rolling it back into a ball.

Spray a 12 slot muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.

Place the rolls into the muffin tins.

Cover and let rise for an hour.

Melt butter and mix in minced garlic and basil.

Brush butter over the top of the rolls.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

Let cool 5 minutes and enjoy.

water (105-110 degrees)

(0.25-ounce) package active dry yeast

buttermilk

unsalted butter, (melted)

honey

salt

bread flour

Whisk together 1/2 cup warm water (between 105-110 degrees), yeast (1 package), and granulated sugar (1 teaspoon) in a small mixing bowl. Let stand for about 5 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly.

Combine buttermilk (1 1/2 cups), melted butter (1/2 cup), honey (3 tablespoons), and salt (2 teaspoons) in the bowl of a stand-up electric mixer, fitted with a dough hook. Beat on medium-low speed to combine. Pour yeast mixture into buttermilk mixture and mix to combine. With the mixer set on low, gradually add the flour (5 cups) to the mixer bowl, beat until a soft dough forms.

Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly greased bowl. Turn over to coat all sides of ball with oil. Drape a large sheet of plastic wrap loosely over dough and up the sides of the bowl. Cover with a clean dish towel and place in a draft-free space. Let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Meanwhile, put together the garlic herb butter: melt the butter (1 cup) in a small saucepan. Add the remaining ingredients and cook on low for 2 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and divide it in half. Roll each half to a 12X8 inch rectangle. Cut each rectangle in half making 4 (12X4) inch rectangles. Cut each rectangle vertically into 2X4 inch stipes (you should have 24).

Brush each generously strip with butter. dig down in the butter and make sure to get herbs and garlic on each strip. Crease rectangles almost in half, but slightly off-center with a wooden skewer, then fold. Place folded rolls short side down on parchment-lined baking sheets about 1/4 inch apart. Cover loosely with plastic wrap; let rise in a warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about  60 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake in preheated until golden brown, about 20-25 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes on sheets then transfer to a wire rack.

Gently reheat the butter over low heat and generously brush the rolls with the butter. When soaked in, repeat and sprinkle with sea salt. If you have any extra herbs sprinkle over top.

shredded sharp white cheddar cheese

Roll the dough out on a piece of parchment paper that&#x27;s lightly coated with flour. Roll it into approximately a 16x10-inch rectangle.

Spread butter all over the dough. Set aside about 1/4 cup of bacon and sprinkle the rest across the pizza dough.

Set aside about 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese as well as the cheddar cheese on the dough.

Sprinkle the parsley and garlic over the dough.

Starting at one long in, roll the dough up. Pinch the seam to seal and place it so that the seam is on the bottom.

Vegan Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls

all purpose flour +

granulated sugar or liquid

instant yeast (about 1 packet)

vegan butter ((56 grams) olive oil

parsley (chopped/diced)

In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Whisk the ingredients together.

Create a well in the centre of the flour. Slowly add the warm milk and vegan butter to the dry ingredients, and then mix together with a spatula until just incorporated. The dough should look shaggy.

Add in the minced garlic, vegan parmesan cheese and the fresh parsley. Using your dough hook, knead the dough for about 5-6 minutes on the first or second speed. The dough might be sticky at first, but you can add up to 2 tablespoons of flour while kneading to make it easier to manage. You want the end dough ball to be smooth, with slight dimples with a bit of tension formed.

Lightly grease the bowl of the dough with some additional oil and place the dough ball back into the bowl. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let it sit for at least 2 hours on the counter in a WARM area. If your kitchen is too cold, you can place it in your OFF oven with the pilot light on which will provide enough residual heat for it to rise. The dough should rise and double in size.

Punch down the dough and fold over.

Divide the dough into 15 equal balls and roll each into a ball. I like to weigh the dough, then split the figure into 15 for equally round balls. Using your fingers, pinch and pull the undersides to shape each ball round. Now would be a great time to check out my highlight on Instagram where I video'd this for clarification! But you essentially want to make them as round as possible with the seam on the underside so it isn’t visible.

This is OPTIONAL - but you can also add ¾ cup of vegan cheese into the centre of these balls. Split the mixture evenly over the 15 rolls. Slightly open the centre of each before you’re about to pinch and pull the undersides, then stuff slightly with some of the vegan cheese. Pinch and fold tightly, then proceed to the next time. This takes these rolls to another level.

Grease a 9x13 container with some vegan butter lightly. Line up the balls evenly beside each other.

Cover with a light kitchen towel and allow the balls to proof/rise for another 1 hour. The dough balls with touch - and you want them to!

You can also begin preheating your oven to 400°F/200°C within the last 20 minutes so it's ready when they're done rising.

Mix together the ingredients for your rub - your melted stick of butter, fresh parsley, minced garlic and vegan parmesan cheese. Using a silicone brush/pastry brush, brush about half of the mix over the rolls.

Bake your rolls for 15 minutes in the oven. Remove, and immediately brush with the rest of the garlic rub for the top. You can leave them to cool mainly in the pan, or move them to a cooling rack to cool once the garlic rub is soaked in. The rolls soften completely after resting for about 15 minutes.

Slice, tear, slather in butter, and enjoy!
