Carrot-Apple-Ginger Juice

13.2 oz carrot (6 1/2 medium carrots)

3.85 oz red apple (1/2 medium apple)

3.85 oz green apple (1/2 medium apple)

0.35 oz lemon (1/5 medium lemon)

0.35 oz ginger (1 1/3 inch ginger)

Wash and weigh the ingredients.

Remove the top ends of the carrots.

Peel the lemons or see tips below.

Run the ingredients through your juicer.

Ginger Lemon Shot with Orange Juice

Gather your ingredients and cut the peel off the oranges, lemon, and ginger.

Feed the orange slices, lemon slices, and ginger through your juicer. Pour the juice into a jar and stir in the apple cider vinegar. 

Or, if you want to make this recipe in a blender, combine the peeled and chopped oranges, lemon, and ginger in the pitcher of a blender and blend for 30 seconds. You may need to add 1/4 of water to help the ingredients blend smoothly. Then, strain the blended mixture through a nut milk bag to help filter the pulp. Pour the juice into a jar and stir in the apple cider vinegar.

To serve the immunity shot, pour it into a small glass and sprinkle the top with the ground turmeric and ground cayenne pepper.

Ginger Shots Recipe

(50 grams) fresh ginger root

(120 grams) lemon juice

(60 grams) water ((or use coconut water

cayenne pepper ((or ground black pepper))

(60 grams) orange juice

(60 grams) pineapple juice (Use this is instead of 1/4 cup water)

(60 grams) lime juice

(60 grams) cherry juice (Use this is instead of 1/4 cup water)

turmeric powder

fine mesh sieve

lemon juicer

shot glasses

wash and chop ginger

Wash fresh ginger root as you would a potato, with water and a cloth to scrub off debris. Then chop fresh ginger into chunks, just small enough to blend.

squeeze 4 lemons or measure juice

Squeeze 4 lemons to gather 1/2 cup of lemon juice, or measuring it out from a bottle of pure organic lemon juice.

Add all ingredients to a blender or use a juicer. Blend or juice the chopped ginger, lemon juice, water and pepper.

How to Make Ginger Shots

If you used a blender, pour the blended mixture through a strainer into a measuring cup.

With a spoon or spatula, push the mixture through a strainer until the pulp is fairly dry and you have captured most of the juice from the blended mixture.

Freeze pulp

Freeze the pulp in ice cube trays and add it to smoothies and soups for extra nutrition and fiber.

This recipe makes about 1/2 cup. It can be stored in the refrigerator for a week but declines in potency with each day.

Make in bulk and freeze ginger shots in ice cube trays. Then add a cube to a glass the night before, let is thaw refrigerated, then add a bit of water to it and down the shot.

Transfer the ingredients to a powerful blender or food processor, pour in the water, and blitz all into cloudy, deep yellow juice.

Now, strain the ginger turmeric juice through a fine-mesh sieve, collecting as much juice as possible into a cup or pitcher.

Divide the turmeric juice among small sealable vials (like empty spice pots) to make single-serving shots, allowing 60 ml (2 fl oz) of juice per pot. Tip a pinch of black pepper in each vial (to boost turmeric absorption), seal, and shake well.

Place all the ingredients in a blender. Blend everything together until smooth.

Place a mesh strainer over a bowl or measuring cup and pour the liquid over the sieve. Press the pulp with a spoon or small glass to squeeze all the liquid out of it.

Pour the liquid into small glasses or transfer to a large sealed glass container. Keep refrigerated. It will last for about 3-4 days stored in the fridge. Stir before drinking. Enjoy!
