Grape Jelly Meatballs are a sweet and savory appetizer that is made with just 3 simple ingredients.

Crockpot Grape Jelly Meatballs

frozen fully cooked meatballs (or 48 small homemade meatballs)

ketchup

grape jelly

Cook meatballs according to recipe directions if using raw meatballs.

Place meatballs, ketchup and grape jelly in a small slow cooker. Stir to combine.

Cook on low 3-4 hours or until heated through.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix together all meatball ingredients just until combined. Form into 1" meatballs. Bake for 18-20 minutes (or bake frozen meatballs according to package directions).

Combine sauce ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir until preserves/jelly melts. Allow to come to a boil for 1 minute. Toss with meatballs and allow to simmer on low 10-15 minutes.

Heinz chili sauce

Put the frozen meatballs in the slow cooker. Add the grape jelly and chili sauce.

Stir until the meatballs are coated in the grape and chili sauce mixture.

Place the lid on the slow cooker.

Cook on HIGH for 2.5-3 hours or LOW for 4-5 hours. Stirring occasionally so the meatballs won&#x27;t burn on the edges.

Turn the slow cooker to warm. Can be kept warm at a party for 3+ hours. Stir often, and add a splash of water if the sauce thickens too much.

Set the Instant Pot to Saute Normal for 10 minutes and leave the meatballs to simmer, stirring occasionally. This will thicken up the sauce.

Once the Instant Pot turns off, allow the meatballs to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Add the oil to the bottom of the inner Instant Pot, then add the meatballs and pour water over and around meatballs

Add the grape jelly and chili sauce over the meatballs, but do not stir

Place lid on Instant Pot, and turn vent to Sealing position, then hit PRESSURE COOK for 5 minutes

Pot will take a few minutes to reach pressure, then begin counting down and cook for 5 minutes

When pot beeps, do a quick release. When pin drops, open lid, and stir meatballs well.

Optional -- to thicken sauce hit SAUTE and cook for about 5 minutes to reduce sauce. Hit Keep Warm and keep in pressure cooker until ready to serve or place in a large serving bowl

(12-ounce) bottles Heinz chili sauce

cayenne pepper (optional)

-5 pounds frozen cocktail meatballs

Mix the Heinz chili sauce, grape jelly, and cayenne (if using) in a bowl. Or heat them gently in a tall saucepan.

Add the meatballs to a slow cooker or Crockpot.

Pour the sauce over the top and stir to coat the meatballs.

Cook for 3 to 4 hours on low heat, stirring occasionally.

Mix jelly and ketchup together.

Mix ground beef, eggs, garlic powder, pepper and bread crumbs together well.

Form meat mixture into balls a little smaller than a golf ball.

Pour about half of the jelly/ketchup mixture into the bottom of a slow cooker.

Place meatballs in slow cooker.

Pour the remaining jelly/ketchup mixture on top of the meatballs.

Cover and cook for about 4 hours on high or 6=7 hours on low.

Add the frozen meatballs, grape jelly, barbecue sauce, and chili sauce into the base of the slow cooker. Mix until well combined.

Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours, stirring halfway through cooking. Keep covered and on the warm setting until ready to serve.  Garnish with parsley or chives if desired.

Put the jelly, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce in a small pot on medium heat. Preheat your oven to 350 °F.

Whisk all the sauce ingredients together until smooth.

Warm the sauce to just a simmer and pour over the meatballs. Bake in the oven until the meatballs are cooked.

I have a friend in the catering  business  who sells sweet &amp; sour meatballs that my family has BOUGHT  for years.  Now, thanks to you, I can MAKE MY OWN.

I followed the recipe  as written,  but doubled the sauce because  I had 2 pound bag of meatballs.   I took them to a Christmas  party, and they quickly  disappeared.

I use grape jelly and chili sauce. ? It is my family recipe. I love old recipes.

I make these using sweet chili sauce instead of ketchup...they're great! I never thought of adding hot sauce...I'll definitely try that on my next batch.

I have made these using canned cranberry jelly and barbecue sauce and they are equally good.  If you like the grape jelly, I think you would like the cranberry jelly (it's not just for Thanksgiving, hahaha!)
