Sounds so yummy. I'll make these when my sister visits.

Definitely not my favorite asparagus recipe. Won’t be doing this again. Why even use the grill, if your goal is limp and soggy. Just toss them in oil and seasoning, and lay them right on the grill grates. Much better texture and flavor. The cheese lured me in, but I’ll just try adding cheese after they’re cooked the good way.

Try it in a smoker, same time as directed. OmG

Cheesy Asparagus Foil Packs Will Be Your New Favorite Side

This recipe for grilled asparagus in foil is tender fresh asparagus stalks cooked in foil packets with butter, seasonings and herbs. Throw these foil packs on the grill or bake in the oven for an easy side dish!

Grilled Asparagus in Foil

asparagus stalks (trimmed)

butter

salt

pepper

Italian seasoning

parsley

cooking spray

lemon wedges

Preheat a grill to medium high heat or an oven to 425 degrees F.

Coat 4 large squares of foil with cooking spray.

Divide the asparagus stalks evenly among the squares of foil.

Sprinkle the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper evenly over the asparagus stalks.

Place 2 teaspoons of butter in each asparagus packet.

Fold the foil over the asparagus, sealing completely on all sides.

Grill the asparagus packs for 15 minutes, flipping once halfway through.

Alternatively, you can bake the asparagus for 15 minutes.

Open the foil packets carefully, then gently stir to make sure all the asparagus is coated with the butter and seasonings.

Sprinkle with parsley and serve, with lemon wedges if desired.

How to cook grilled asparagus. Perfectly crispy outside and tender inside, it&#039;s a fast, easy, and healthy side you&#039;ll cook all summer long!

Grilled Asparagus

extra virgin olive oil

black pepper

lemon juice

Parmesan

balsamic

Preheat

Preheat the grill to medium heat, 375 degrees F to 400 degrees F (if using a grill pan, preheat it along with the grill). Once the grates are hot, brush them very clean.

Snap

Snap off the woody ends of the asparagus by holding the stem end in one hand and gripping it near the base with the other. Briskly bend and the asparagus will naturally snap in the right place. Discard the stem ends.

Drizzle

Place the asparagus spears on a baking sheet or serving platter. Drizzle with the oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat the asparagus evenly.

Grill

To grill: with tongs, place the asparagus across the grill grates so that the spears are perpendicular to the grates (or place them in an even layer in the pan or grill basket).

Close the lid and grill for 6 to 10 minutes, turning the spears once or twice throughout so that they grill evenly.

Serve

Transfer to a platter (I use the same one I used to drizzle the asparagus). Add any desired toppings and adjust salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Cheesy Grilled Asparagus in Foil Packs 

asparagus stalks, (ends trimmed)

garlic, (minced)

Italian Seasoning

salt and fresh ground pepper, (to taste)

mozzarella cheese

chopped fresh parsley, (for garnish)

Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high.

In a large mixing bowl combine asparagus, oil, garlic, lemon juice, Italian Seasoning, salt, and pepper; toss until well combined.

Lay out four large pieces of foil.

Divide up the asparagus between the foil sheets and top with mozzarella cheese.

Fold and seal the foil packs.

Transfer prepared foil packs to the grill and cook for 13 to 15 minutes, or until asparagus is tender. Cooking time depends on the thickness of the asparagus.

Remove from grill and carefully open up the foil packs.

Sprinkle with parmesan and garnish with parsley.

Serve.

Heat a grill or grill pan over high heat. Toss asparagus lightly in oil and season generously with salt and pepper.

Grill, turning occasionally, until tender and charred, 3 to 4 minutes.

This is an amazing recipe, and very easy. I deviated slightly by seasoning it with my kitchen mixture of salt pepper and garlic powder. To make it easier I used to spray olive oil prior to seasoning.  Four minutes on the grill it was about right. It was perfectly cooked, and incredibly tasty.

This is an amazing and simple recipe. Asparagus is so much better grilled! I shared with a couple of people that don’t like asparagus, and they ate most of what was cooked!

Don't forget to stir up the Hollandaise sauce!

This Grilled Asparagus Is The Perfect Summer Side

Fresh Asparagus that is grilled gives you char marks and a smoky flavor that is amazing! Within minutes you have tender asparagus coated in parmesan and garlic that will become a family favorite!

Grilled Parmesan Garlic Asparagus

Tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Garlic Cloves (minced)

salt and pepper

Prepare asparagus and trim the bottoms.

Lay the asparagus in the pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper and toss in the olive oil.

Lay the asparagus on the grill or grill plate in a row. Grill for 5-10 minutes over medium high heat until they have char marks and are fork tender. Remove asparagus and place back in the pan. Toss with garlic and parmesan cheese. Serve.

*You can also grill the asparagus in foil if desired.

Grilled Asparagus Recipe with BBQ Hollandaise

asparagus, ((Look

egg yolks ((room temperature is best))

juice of grilled lemon ((regular lemon works too))

unsalted butter, melted ((one stick))

ultimate dry rub

Prep Grill

Prepare Grill: Prepare the grill for direct grilling targeting 400 degrees Fahrenheit in the cooking chamber.

Steam

Season Asparagus: Coat with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Grill Direct: Place the asparagus on the grill perpendicular to the grates (so they don’t fall through) over direct heat. Close grill and then grill for 3 – 6 minutes or when you see nice caramelization happen. Rotate the asparagus and grill the other side for additional 3 – 6 minutes. Once you see the color develop remove from the grill. The time will vary depending on how hot your grill is running and how thick your asparagus is.

Serve: Plate and pour the hollandaise over the asparagus.

Whisk Yolks

Simmer Water: Get a small sauce pan simmering. While it’s simmering, whisk the egg yolks and lemon juice in a large stainless steel bowl off the heat. The yolks and juice will combine and you’ll see the volume of the yolks increase about 30 to 40 percent, which is a good thing.

Add Butter

Add Butter: Place the stainless steel bowl (with the egg yolk and lemon mixture) over the water pan (but remember, not touching the hot water), and start whisking, add 1/2 of the butter and continue to whisk to incorporate. The sauce will start to thicken. If the water is too hot, you’ll see the yolk start to form lumps, reduce heat if that happens and whish vigorously to separate. Add the remainder of the butter and then add the dry rub. Continue to whisk for two minutes over the pan of simmering water. The sauce will thicken and warm up at the same time. Then it’s ready to serve with the asparagus.

BBQ Hollandaise Sauce

Grilled Asparagus with Lemon Tahini Sauce

Preheat the grill to medium/medium-high.

Trim the woody ends of the asparagus, it naturally breaks or you can use a knife. place them on a baking sheet and drizzle the olive oil. Add salt and pepper. Using your hands, coat the asparagus with olive oil, salt and pepper.

Make the lemon tahini sauce by mixing the tahini with yogurt, lemon zest and juice, salt and garlic. Add the water, one tablespoon at a time if you need to thin out the sauce.

Place the asparagus on the grill. I used a grilling pan with holes for better handling. Close the lid and let it grill for 5 minutes. Give it a good stir and grill for another 5 minutes until they are crisp and cooked. Transfer them to a serving platter.

Drizzle the lemon tahini sauce over the asparagus, top with Aleppo pepper and sesame seeds if desired and serve warm.
