Garlic Butter Grilled Salmon Recipe

4-oz Salmon Fillets

Salt and Pepper

Tbsp Butter

Garlic (minced)

Fresh Dill (or parsley)

Lemon

Preheat grill to MEDIUM-HIGH (about 400°).

To prep SALMON, remove bones (if any), pat dry, season with SALT and PEPPER, allow to sit at room temp for 15 minutes.

Melt BUTTER, GARLIC, and DILL in a 2qt sauce pot over medium heat until infused (3-5 minutes).

Brush garlic butter over salmon (flesh side).

Place salmon (flesh facing down) on prepped grill surface and brush garlic butter over salmon skin (facing up).

Close grill lid, turn heat dials to M-O-M (medium-off-medium), and grill salmon until it easily releases from the grill (about 4 minutes).

Flip salmon over and grill until it flakes easily with a fork (about 3 minutes for medium or 5 minutes for well-done).

Transfer salmon to a platter, allow to rest, and serve garnished with lemon zest, lemon wedges, and fresh dill.

Mix together marinade ingredients in a baking dish: soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic. Add salmon fillets skin side up into the marinade and place in the fridge for 15-45 minutes.

When ready to grill, start your Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until you see smoke appear (takes 3-5 minutes). Set the temperature to 350°F and preheat with the lid closed for 10-15 minutes.

Remove salmon from marinade and place skin side up on grill. Cover (close the lid of the grill) and cook for 4 minutes. Flip carefully using a spatula. Cook for 20-25 minutes longer until fish is flaky. Serve immediately.

How to Grill Salmon (with skin + without skin)

Preheat grill to High Heat (450-500) degrees.

Ensure your grates are cleaned and lightly greased with oil.

While your grill is pre-heating, place salmon fillets on a tray.

Using a basting brush, brush on oil so the meat is lightly covered (if the skin is on it doesn&#8217;t need to be oiled).

Season with salt and pepper (approximately 1/4 teaspoon or so per fillet and a dusting of pepper).

Place skin side down over direct heat and close the grill.

Reduce temp to approximately 375 (by opening the grill to put the salmon on the temp will drop quite quickly so just remember to manually turn down the heat).

Let cook for 3-4 minutes (keep cover on).

Open grill and, using your metal spatula, try and carefully separate the skin from the flesh.  The skin will most likely stick to the grates allowing you to get your spatula under the meat of the salmon.  Then flip onto a different spot on the grill (still over direct heat) and close the grill.  Sometimes, depending upon different variables, the meat will just refuse to separate.  That&#8217;s okay. Don&#8217;t fight it too much and instead simply flip the salmon over and the skin can be removed after grilling.

Let cook for 3-4 minutes longer or until it reaches an internal temp of 145 (using an internal meat thermometer) or until the meat at the thickest point turns opaque and flakes easily.

Remove from grill and serving immediately.

Diabetic-Friendly GRILLED SALMON 

Grilled wild sockeye salmon with tangy honey mustard glaze, is a tasty, healthy meal. This easy 20-minute fish recipe is a keeper!

Honey Mustard Wild Sockeye Salmon

lb wild sockeye salmon filet (skin on, 1" thick (See Note 1))

tsp salt

tsp black pepper

Dijon mustard

tbsp honey

Turn the grill to medium-high and preheat to 450°F.

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey mustard glaze ingredients and set aside.

Rinse the salmon fillet and pat dry with paper towel. Brush olive oil over the salmon on both sides - keeping skin on. Season with salt and pepper.

When grill is hot, place fillet skin side down, and grill for 3 to 4 minutes on high so skin becomes golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip salmon over, keeping skin intact, and cook another 3 minutes (See Note 1). IF grill is unavailable, try my Baked Honey Mustard version with instructions (See Note 2).

Remove from the grill, brush with glaze and let rest for 2 minutes. Serve immediately.

Preheat the oven to 425℉

On a large baking tray, drizzle one tsp of olive oil. Place the tortillas on the tray- making sure each one of them gets coated in olive oil on the bottom. Drizzle a little more olive oil over the top, rubbing it in so that each tortilla is coated. ***you can use an olive oil spray to save on calories

Cook the tortillas on the top rack of the oven for 5-8 minutes or until browned and crispy.

In the meantime, wash + pat dry the salmon. Lay it flat on a baking tray and season with southwest chipotle seasoning, drizzle with 1 tsp of lime juice + 1 tbsp of olive oil.

Once the tortillas are done, add the salmon into the oven on the top rack and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked all the way through (145℉).
