Preheat your griddle to medium-high or high heat...

Continue moving it around the griddle, evenly coating it with oil and letting it get toasty. Add in the garlic during the last minute of cooking. (Add more oil as needed throughout the process.)

Japanese Hibachi Fried Rice

Tbsp sesame seed oil

Tbsp olive oil ((light

rice cooking wine

Tbsp Hibachi Cooking Oil ((see above))

white onion ((finely chopped))

peas and carrots ((frozen blend, or a 1/4 cup of each peas

butter

Combine ingredients in a jar or squeeze bottle that you can seal with a lid to shake up the contents, and for storing any unused portion ( if desired ).

Shake container before using to cook hibachi style foods, such as this hibachi fried rice, noodles, vegetables, chicken, steak, or seafood.

Hibachi Cooking Oil

Set all prepared ingredients near workspace as this is cooked on high heat. Using a large wok is preferable, but a large skillet or frying pan will work. Bring wok or skillet to high heat with hibachi cooking oil blend or alternative ( cottonseed, canola, peanut oil ).

Cook the egg in the heated oil, quickly breaking the cooked egg apart and moving to the sides once cooked. Add vegetables and saute for about 2-3 minutes. *Reduce heat in small increments as needed if cooking too hot.

Heat butter for 10-20 seconds in the microwave and stir in the soy sauce ( add garlic or garlic powder, if desired ).

Add the cooled rice to the wok or frying pan, then the butter sauce. Fry for an additional 5 minutes, or until the rice and vegetables are well combined, coated with butter, and everything is heated through.

Serve immediately, garnish with sliced green onion or sesame seeds.

Hibachi Fried Rice

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Cook the rice in the water according to package directions. For best results, spread the cooked rice in a shallow metal pan and stick it in the freezer to cool quickly. Do not let it freeze, though.&nbsp;&nbsp; If you don’t have time to chill the rice, just spread it out so it cools completely.

While the rice is cooking and cooling, spread the sesame seeds in a shallow baking pan. Bake until golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes, shaking pan occasionally for even color. Remove from the oven.&nbsp;

Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the onions, carrots, and scallions. Cook, stirring from time to time, until the onions are translucent. Remove from the heat and set aside. Heat another large skillet or a wok if you have one. Add a splash of oil and swirl it around. Pour the eggs into the hot skillet. Cook as you would scrambled eggs. When the eggs are barely done, add the vegetables, rice, 2 tablespoons of the garlic butter (you can add more if desired) and sesame seeds and sprinkle with the soy sauce. Stir-fry until everything is mixed and hot. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Make this delicious restaurant-style Hibachi Fried Rice or Japanese Fried Rice for a quick Asian inspired meal.  Serve it with Hibachi chicken and Yum Yum sauce and get transported to a Japanese Steakhouse.

Hibachi Fried Rice Recipe

tbsp Butter

Onion (cut into 1 inch cubes)

tsp Garlic (chopped)

Peas

Carrots (cubed)

Eggs

Rice

Salt (to taste)

tsp White Pepper

tbsp Soy Sauce

tbsp Roasted Sesame Oil

Heat a wok until it is very hot. Add butter in a wok.

Add onion and garlic and fry for a minute.

Now add peas and carrots and saute for a minute.

Push the veggies on the side.

Add whisked eggs in the wok and scramble them.

Mix the scrambled eggs with the veggies.

Add cooked rice, salt, white pepper powder, soy sauce and toasted sesame oil and toss well.

Serve hot with yum yum sauce.

Instant Pot Fried Rice is delicious way to use up those leftovers.

Instant Pot Fried Rice {Hibachi Fried Rice}

(456 grams) Jasmine rice (rinsed and drained)

(500 milliliters) water

Tbsp sesame oil

soy sauce (or gluten-free Tamari sauce)

Tbsp rice vinegar

unsalted butter

eggs

onion (finely chopped)

(128 grams) frozen peas and carrots mix

(128 grams) sweet kernel corn

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

green onions (for garnish)

To make your Fried Rice in Instant Pot, start by using a rice strainer to rinse the rice until it’s no longer cloudy. Once the water is clear let it drain for 10-15 mins.

Add the rice to the Instant Pot with 2 cups of water. Stir, close the lid and point the valve to Sealed.

Select Manual (or Pressure Cook) and cook on High Pressure for 3 mins.

When it’s done, allow for a 10 min Natural Pressure Release and then perform a Quick Pressure Release to release the remaining pressure.

Open the lid, fluff the rice with a fork and transfer it to a bowl. Without cleaning the insert, turn on Sauté mode, adjust to Medium setting and add in sesame oil.

Once the oil begins to sizzle, scrape the bottom of the insert with a wooden spoon and add in the onion. Sauté the onion in the oil and stir for 1-2 mins. Then add the peas, carrots and corn. Stir to combine it all together.

Add the butter and cook everything together for about another 2 mins. Push the veggies to one side of the pot and add the eggs to the other side. Stir the eggs constantly like you’re making scrambled eggs. Once the eggs begins to cook, mix them in with the veggies until fully cooked.

Cancel Sauté mode and set the Instant Pot heat setting to Keep Warm. Add the rice back to the insert with veggies.

Add the tamari soy sauce, rice vinegar, some sesame seeds and combine with the veggie-egg mixture. You’re almost done your Instant Pot Fried Rice.

Now, you can turn off the Instant Pot and serve the fried rice topped with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
