These easy-to-make Rosé Sour Patch Kids are homemade wine gummy bears with a sweet and sour coating. Perfect for parties!

Rosé Sour Patch Kids

rosé wine

gelatin ((about 1/4 cup))

sugar

pink food coloring

tsp food-grade citric acid

Pour rosé into a medium saucepan and sprinkle gelatin over the top. Stir gelatin into wine until it's completely dissolved. Mixture will be thick.

Over very low heat (do not let mixture boil), continue stirring mixture until the it melts back down into a liquid consistency, taking care not to let gelatin clump up. If clumps remain, press it against the side of the saucepan with your spoon to break them up.

Once wine is liquid, add 1/3 cup sugar and stir until dissolved.

Turn off heat and add drop or two of pink food coloring.

Place gummy bear molds on trays and working quickly, fill molds with wine mixture. You can either pour the mixture over the molds, and use an offset spatula to clean up or you can use an eyedropper (one usually comes with gummy bear molds).

Once molds are filled, place in fridge for about two hours to firm up.

In a small bowl, mix together remaining 1/3 cup granulated sugar and citric acid.

Pop gummies out of molds and let come to room temperature.

Toss gummy bears in sugar mixture to coat.

Store in airtight containers if not enjoying right away. Do not store in fridge.

Homemade gummy candy made using apple juice, sugar, and gelatin can be flavored and colored, and shaped into animals including gummy bears, worms, dinosaurs, sharks, fish, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, and more.

Pour apple juice and sugar into a small saucepan.

Stir until the sugar disolves.

Sprinkle the gelatin over the juice, stir until blended, then let it sit for two minutes.

Set the saucepan on the stove over medium heat and bring to a boil.

Once it comes to a boil, remove the pan from the heat and let the foam subside.

Skim off any foam that remains using a spoon.

Set a gummy candy mold on a cutting board or baking tray.

Fill an eyedropper with the hot sugar syrup or pour the sugar syrup into a squeeze bottle, then squeeze it into the cavities in your gummy candy mold.

Once the eyedropper has a lot of air bubbles in it, squeeze the bubbly sugar syrup into the saucepan, then fill it up again.

Once the eyedropper is almost empty it will be filled with too many air bubbles. Squeeze the syrup along with the bubbles back into the saucepan, then refill it with more sugar syrup.

Set the mold aside at room temperature for 30-45 minutes until firm or speed up the process by freezing the mold for 10-20 minutes.

Un-mold the candies and they are ready to enjoy.

Homemade Gummy Bears

Box Flavored Jello ((A typical box is 3 ounces))

Packets Unflavored Gelatin

Water

Cup Cornstarch

Dust the gummy bear molds with a light coat of cornstarch. Set aside.

In a saucepan place flavored jello and 2 packets of unflavored gelatin.

Add ⅓ cup water.

Mix together and let sit for 5 minutes.

Place the pan on low-medium heat and whisk continuously until the powder is dissolved. This will take about another 5 minutes.

Once dissolved use a dropper to place in molds.

Allow gummies to sit for 5-10 minutes to cool. Lightly coat the backs of the gummy bears with cornstarch.

Place the molds in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to fully cool and set.

In a shallow bowl, add 1 tbsp cornstarch. Pop the gummy bears out of the molds and into the bowl.

Lightly toss to coat the gummies evenly. The cornstarch will prevent the gummies from sticking together.

Store in an airtight container.

To the pan add coconut milk, honey, and sea salt and whisk to combine. Heat mixture over low heat until it warms. You don&#039;t want it to get too hot, just barely warmed. Slowly whisk in gelatin. Let it sit for a minute two to allow the foam to disappear.
