A super simple recipe for a homemade latte that requires no special equipment. 

DIY Latte

milk (ANY variety)

strongly brewed coffee (any variety)

Heat milk

Heat the milk for 30-45 seconds in your microwave in the cup you intend to drink your coffee from.

Whisk milk

Once the milk of your choice is heated, take a small whisk and vigoursly whisk back and forth for 15-30 seconds until the milk is frothy.

Pour coffee over frothed milk.

Pour the coffee directly over the frothed milk or brew over the frothed milk.

Alternative method

Alternatively, you can heat the milk in a glass measuring cup and then froth. Pour coffee or espresso into a mug and then gently pour the frothed milk over the coffee. Spoon the remaining foam on top of your latte.

I don&#039;t have any fancy coffee or espresso equipment, but I love cinnamon lattes .  I just have my coffee pot and a whisk.  This cinnamon latte is delicious and easy to whip together and you don&#039;t need any fancy gadgets!

Easy Cinnamon Latte

black coffee

cinnamon

organic cane sugar

milk

Brew 2 cups of strong black coffee.

Place the cinnamon, sugar, and milk in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir to make sure it doesn’t burn.

Once the milk mixture begins to boil, remove the saucepan from the stove.

Top your 1/2 cup of black coffee with the milk mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon. Enjoy!

Apple Spice Latte. This creamy, slightly spicy apple spice latte is the perfect comforting drink to sip on while enjoying all that the Fall Season has to offer.

Apple Spice Latte

apple juice

water

brown sugar

apple pie spice*

coffee

apple spice syrup

milk/cream/half n half

Whipped cream

apple pie spice

In a small saucepan add the apple juice, water, light brown sugar and apple pie spice. Whisk to combine.

Bring mixture to a simmer while stirring occasionally. Allow to simmer about 5-7 minutes until the amount has reduced to about half. The syrup will be thicker and will thicken more as it cools.

Once the syrup is cooled slightly you can pour into a jar for storage. Can store in air tight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 weeks. Just shake before use. Can also re-heat before adding to the coffee.

Prepare your coffee.

Pour the 4 tablespoons of apple spice syrup and the milk or cream into the hot coffee. Stir to combine. Serve warm.
