This Sesame Chicken is full of sweet and savory flavors and is the perfect dinner for any day of the week. Sauteed in fresh garlic and ginger, this crispy sesame chicken recipe is tossed in a honey garlic sauce and served over rice. Skip the takeout and make this easy dinner recipe tonight!

Easy Sesame Chicken

sesame oil

garlic cloves, (minced)

Tablespoon fresh ginger, (minced)

chicken broth, (divided)

honey

⅓ Tablespoons soy sauce

rice vinegar

cornstarch

chicken

egg whites, (large)

salt

black pepper

Tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

sesame seeds

green onions, (sliced)

Heat the sesame oil over medium heat in a small saucepan. Add the fresh minced garlic and ginger to the saucepan and sauté for 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in ¼ cup plus 2 Tablespoons of the broth, the honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Bring the mixture to a soft rolling boil.

In a small bowl, whisk together 2 Tablespoons of broth and 1 Tablespoon cornstarch until well combined.

Pour the cornstarch mixture into the sauce and allow to boil for 1 minute, ensure that you stir constantly. Remove the saucepan from the heat and set aside.

For The Sauce

While the sauce is cooling, grab a cutting board and chop the meat in to 1-inch cubes. Place them on a plate.

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together cornstarch, egg whites, salt, and pepper until well blended. Add the cubed pieces of meat into the mixing bowl and toss until well coated.

Heat 2 Tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. When heated, add half of the meat to the oil and cook until each piece is no longer pink in the middle. This took me about 12 minutes.

Once the meat is done, set aside in bowl. Add an additional Tablespoon of oil to the skillet and repeat the same steps with the rest of the chicken, cooking for about 12 minutes or until done. Remove the skillet from the heat.

Using tongs, add all of the cooked pieces to a large bowl. Slowly pour on the sauce. Mix to combine, ensuring the sauce evenly coats each piece of chicken.

Sprinkle on sesame seeds and sliced green onions and serve over a bed of Basmati rice.

For The Chicken

Crispy, tender and juicy salmon fillets pan-fried in the most delicious honey garlic sauce.&nbsp;

Honey Garlic Sauce Salmon

olive oil

butter, (divided)

skin-on salmon fillets, (each fillet should be around 4-ounces)

cumin

smoky or sweet paprika

Italian Seasoning

salt and fresh ground pepper, (to taste)

garlic, (minced (about 1 tablespoon minced garlic))

lime juice

green onions (for serving)

lime wedges (for serving)

Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large (10 to 12 inches) cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.

In a small bowl combine cumin, paprika, Italian Seasoning, salt, and pepper; mix until incorporated.

Season salmon fillets with prepared seasoning and transfer to skillet, skin side down. (PLEASE SEE MY NOTES)

Cook the fillets for 4 to 5 minutes, or until cooked three quarters of the way through.

In the meantime, combine honey, soy sauce, and lime juice in a bowl; whisk until well combined.

Flip the fish over and add 1 tablespoon butter to the skillet. (If working in batches, at this point you want to place all your fillets back in the skillet.)

Wait until butter melts and add minced garlic over the fish.

Pour the prepared honey soy sauce over the fish and continue to cook for 2 more minutes, or until cooked through and sauce has slightly thickened. Spoon the sauce over the fillets while cooking.

Remove from heat.

Garnish with sliced green onions and serve with lime wedges.

Honey Garlic Cauliflower – a crispy fried cauliflower coated with sweet and spicy honey garlic sauce. A perfect appetiser to pair with fried rice.

Honey Garlic Cauliflower

(329 gms/ 1 medium size cauliflower) Cauliflower Florets

Oil (for deep frying)

(60 gms) Plain Flour

1.5 tbsp (20 gms) Corn Flour

Salt

Chilli powder

Water

tbsp Oil

tbsp (4 cloves) Garlic (finely chopped)

Pepper Powder

tsp Soy Sauce

tbsp Tomato Ketchup

Honey

tsp Corn Flour

Spring Onions (handful, chopped)

In a deep bowl, place cauliflower florets.

Fill the bowl with sufficient hot water so that florets are completely submerged.

Close the bowl and let it sit for 15 minutes.

Now discard the water and keep florets aside.

In a 2nd bowl, combine the plain flour, cornflour, salt and chilli powder.

Make a smooth lump-free batter by adding little water at a time. You may need a little less or more water to get the right consistency. Keep the batter aside.

In a deep frying pan or Kadai, heat sufficient oil on medium-high.

Dip cauliflower florets in the batter and fry.

Now carefully flip and fry another side until crisp and golden colour.

Remove fried florets and place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Fry florets in batches until you’ve fried all the florets.

For Battered Cauliflower

In a pan, heat oil on medium-high heat.

Add onion, garlic and stir and cook for a minute or until onions are translucent.

Turn down the heat slightly, add chilli powder followed by salt, pepper powder and mix well.

Then add in the soy sauce, tomato ketchup, honey and mix well.

In a small bowl, combine 1 tsp cornflour and ¼ cup water, mix well until cornflour slurry is smooth and lump-free.

Add the slurry and 1/4 cup water to the sauce turn the heat up to medium-high and bring it to boil.

Now turn down the heat slightly and allow to bubble for 5 minutes until slightly reduced and thickened.

Add fried cauliflower florets and stir to coat well.

Finally, mix in spring onion.

Delicious and lip-smacking honey garlic cauliflower are ready to enjoy.

Honey Garlic Cauliflower | Restaurant style Indo-Chinese starter

Seared chicken tenders smothered in the most amazing sticky sauce! This family favorite is easy to make, it&#039;s delicious, and can be on the table in 15 minutes.

Honey Garlic Chicken

chicken tenderloins

garlic, (minced)

soy sauce

white wine vinegar, ((white vinegar, rice

sriracha/hot chili sauce, (or to taste)

Chopped fresh parsley, (for garnish)

sesame seeds, (for garnish (optional))

In a shallow plate combine cornstarch, oregano, salt, and pepper.

Coat chicken tenders with cornstarch mixture.

In the meantime, heat 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet set over medium-high heat.

Add chicken tenders to the hot skillet and cook for 5 minutes.

Flip over the chicken tenders, add remaining butter to the skillet and continue to cook for 4 to 5 more minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.

In the meantime, combine garlic, honey, soy sauce, white vinegar, and hot chili sauce in a mixing bowl; whisk to combine. If you like more heat, add more of the hot chili sauce.

Lower heat to medium.

Add sauce to the chicken and continue to cook for 2 more minutes, or until sauce starts to thicken.

Turn chicken over to coat with sauce.

Garnish chicken with parsley and sesame seeds.

Drizzle with pan sauce.

Serve.

The sauce in this easy honey garlic tofu recipe simmers in minutes while the tofu bakes on a sheet pan in the oven. Serve it with roasted broccoli and brown rice.

Honey Garlic Tofu

Non-stick cooking spray

block extra firm tofu

water

rice wine vinegar

ginger

garlic

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a sheet pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Pat the tofu dry with a towel. Wrap it with a dry towel and place a cast iron pan or cutting board on top to remove more liquid. Let stand for 15 minutes. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.

Arrange the tofu in a single layer on half of a sheet pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.

While the tofu is in the oven, make the sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the soy sauce, 1/4 cup water, honey, rice wine vinegar, ginger and garlic. Simmer the mixture for a couple minutes until it is fragrant. In a small bowl, stir together the cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water and whisk into the sauce. Continue simmering until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.

Toss the broccoli in vegetable oil, salt and pepper and place on the other side of the pan next to the tofu. Flip the tofu to the other side. Continue cooking until the tofu is lightly browned and the broccoli is tender and bright green, but still crisp, about 10 minutes.

Toss the tofu and broccoli in half the honey garlic sauce. Extra sauce can be served on the side or saved for another use.

Sprinkle with scallions and sesame seeds. Serve with brown rice.
