Lazy Lasagna made in just 5 minutes in the instant pot! Classic lasagna flavors with none of the work. Ground beef, onion, garlic, spaghetti sauce, pasta noodles, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, and penne pasta noodles cook in just one pot in the pressure cooker.

Instant Pot Lazy Lasagna

olive oil ((I use extra-virgin olive oil))

lb beef

yellow onion (finely diced)

garlic

salt

black pepper

(24-26 oz) traditional pasta sauce

water

basil

Italian seasoning

parsley

box (16 oz) penne pasta

ricotta cheese

parmesan cheese

Add the olive oil, ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper into the insert of the Instant Pot. Push the sauté button, cook and crumble the ground beef until it&#039;s no longer pink. Turn off the sauté function. Drain the excess grease/liquid from the meat.

Add the jar of spaghetti sauce and mix it together with the ground beef.

Add the water, basil, Italian seasoning, parsley, and salt. Stir it all together.

Dump the dry, uncooked pasta into the Instant Pot. DO NOT STIR it into the water. Instead, if needed, gently push down on the pasta to try and get it in an even layer (see pictures above in post for reference).

Put the lid on the Instant Pot and make sure the valve is set to &#039;sealing&#039;. Manually set the cook time for 5 minutes. *IP will take about 10 minutes to come to pressure and then start the 5 minute cook time.

Once done cooking, naturally release the pressure (meaning do not move the valve to the &#039;venting&#039; position, leave it in the &#039;sealing&#039; position) for 5-10 minutes. * If you want true al dente pasta then naturally release the pressure for 5 minutes. My family does not like it this way so I let the pressure naturally release for 8 minutes. If you want really soft pasta then let the pressure naturally release for the full 10 minutes.

Turn the valve to the &#039;venting&#039; position and let the remaining pressure release. Once ready, open the lid and stir the pasta together. Add the ricotta cheese and parmesan cheese. Stir until cheeses are melted and everything is combined.

Lazy lasagna is all of the lasagna ingredients, but no messing around with boiling noodles, making sauce, and then baking it. Oh, and 4 minute pressure time in your Instant Pot for this recipe!

Press the saute function and once the pot is hot, add the ground beef, salt, and pepper. When almost all of the pink is gone, add it the onions and garlic, and cook until the onions are translucent. Drain grease if there is any. Also scrape any bits off the bottom to prevent the burn signal.&nbsp;

Press cancel. Add in the sauce. Mix to combine.&nbsp;

Add the noodles on top of the meat and sauce mixture.&nbsp;

Add the water on top of the noodles. Do NOT mix. Gently press down any noodles that are not submerged in the water.&nbsp;

Place the lid on your pot. Secure and set to sealing. Set the time to 4 minutes (high pressure).&nbsp;

When the pressure cycle is done, quick release the pressure (you don't want the noodles to over cook). If there is foam it is spurts out. Close the valve for 3 seconds, open for 3 and repeat until spurting stops.&nbsp;

Stir in the cottage cheese.

Add the mozzarella on top. Place the lid back on to trap the heat. Let sit until it is all melted and amazing.&nbsp;

Serve immediately.&nbsp;

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray 9x13 pan. Brown ground beef in skillet and add 3/4th of the sauce to meat and let simmer for about 10 minutes.

Pour remaining sauce in the bottom of casserole dish. Next layer frozen ravioli, then a layer of meat sauce and top with 1/2 the cheese. Layer ravioli again, meat sauce and cheese. Sprinkle basil and oregano on top layer of cheese.  C

over with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 15 more minutes. Let sit 5 minutes before serving

Lazy Cottage Cheese Lasagna

Pound Ground Beef

Jar Pasta Sauce (24-28 Ounces and look for one with LOW SUGAR)

Ounces Egg Noodles (224 grams)

Free

Container Greek Yogurt (Plain 5.3 Ounces/150 grams)

½ Cup Parmesan Cheese (40 grams)

½ Cups Mozzarella Cheese (Part Skim 228 grams)

Salt (*Optional)

Black Pepper (*Optional)

Herbs (*Optional)

Seasoning (*Optional)

Brown your meat (drain if not using a lean meat).

Mix in your Pasta Sauce and other optional seasonings. Cook that on low for around 5 minutes.

Cook and drain your Egg Noodles.

Mix together your Cottage Cheese, Greek Yogurt, Parmesan, Mozzarella, and optional Parsley, Salt, or Black Pepper.

Add your cooked noodles into the bottom of your dish or pan, cheese mix on top of those, and your sauce mix on top of that.

Bake this on 350F/176C for 25 minutes and top with a little Mozzarella 5-10 minutes before it’s done.

This one pan Skillet Lasagna has all the same ingredients and flavors as a traditional meat lasagna but with minimal prep and is ready in just 40 minutes.

Skillet Lasagna

pound ground beef

onion,

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

lasagna noodles, broken

ounces marinara sauce

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

Parmesan cheese

2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat add ground beef. Stir well and break up the beef into small pieces and cook until evenly browned but not fully browned yet, about 5 minutes. 

Add in onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook until the meat is evenly browned and is no longer pink. The onion should also start to soften.

Add half of the marinara sauce, a layer of broken uncooked lasagna noodles.

Bring to a boil and then cover and turn the heat down to medium. Allow it to simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the noodles are tender. You may need to occasionally add in some water if you find the sauce is getting dry. You may also want to occasionally stir the noodles into the meat sauce.

Add a few dollops of ricotta cheese on top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Turn the broiler on high and broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden. Serve with fresh chopped parsley on top.

This Easy Instant Pot Lasagna is like a lazy lasagna – you’ll sauté the ground beef and layer the noodles right in the pot!

Easy Instant Pot Lasagna

lb extra-lean ground beef

yellow onion, diced

garlic,

salt & pepper

water, divided

lasagna noodles, broken up

baby spinach, chopped

(680 milliliters) jar marinara sauce

mozzarella cheese, grated

Set Instant Pot to saute mode and wait for it to heat up. Once hot, add ground beef, onion, garlic and salt &amp; pepper, sauteeing for 5 minutes until browned. Turn off saute mode.

Remove two-thirds of the ground beef mixture and set aside in a bowl. Add 1 cup water to bottom of the pot, then layer in 4 lasagna noodles. Top with half the ricotta cheese, half the spinach and another third of the ground beef mixture.

Pour in half of the jar of marinara sauce, then top with another layer of lasagna noodles. Repeat with the remaining ricotta cheese, remaining spinach and the final third of ground beef mixture. Top a final layer of lasagna noodles and pour the rest of the jar of marinara sauce and the remaining cup of water overtop.

Place lid on Instant Pot and make sure valve is set to seal. Press the pressure cook button and set to high, then pressure cook for 5 minutes. The Instant Pot will take about 5-10 minutes to come to pressure, then notify you it&#039;s done by beeping. Press the Cancel button then do a quick release of the pressure on the Instant Pot by flicking the switch at the top with a spoon. Open the lid when pressure gauge has dropped and the lid opens easily.

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese overtop and close lid to melt cheese for 2 minutes. Cut lasagna into slices, then serve and enjoy!

Ravioli Lasagna recipe aka Lazy Lasagna is a delicious baked ravioli casserole. It features meat sauce layers and plenty of gooey mozzarella cheese.

Ravioli Lasagna Recipe

beef

marinara (or choice of pasta sauce)

frozen cheese ravioli (square shaped (no need to thaw))

mozzarella cheese (divided)

Italian seasoning (***optional***)

garlic powder

Italian seasoning (or dried oregano)

Preheat the oven to 350F degrees. Optional*** coat interior of pan with non-stick cooking spray.

In a medium skillet, crumble and brown the beef over medium heat until completely browned. Drain off the excess fat. Mix in seasoning and garlic powder after draining the meat.

Reserve ¾ cup of the pasta sauce; set aside. Add the remaining spaghetti sauce to the skillet with the browned meat. Stir well then cover and simmer over medium-low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Spread ¼ cup of the reserved spaghetti sauce into the bottom of a 9x13 inch glass baking dish. Arrange one third of the frozen ravioli in a single layer in the pan.

Top the ravioli in the pan with half of the ground beef mixture, then sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese.

Place another 1/3 of the frozen ravioli over the meat sauce and cheese. Top with the rest of the meat and another third of the cheese.

Place the final 1/3 of the frozen ravioli on top of the casserole. Top with the remaining sauce. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes-30 minutes, remove foil andbake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and beginning to brown and bubble around the edges.

Allow to rest for 15 minutes before slicing out servings.

I made an extra veggie version tonight with spinach cheese ravioli and some diced peppers and mushrooms added to the meat sauce. So good!

My sister mistakenly picked up beef ravioli for this at the grocery store instead of the ricotta ones. We made it anyway. The lasagna casserole might be better with the right frozen ravioli, but it was pretty darn good this way too.

I will make this recipe again. So much easier than lasagna from scratch and everyone loved it. Why fuss with recipes, if there is an easy way and dinner is just as good.
