Cooking times will vary depending on the size and thickness of the chicken breasts. Some chicken breasts are huge, over 1 pound each so you might want to cut the chicken lengthwise for quicker cooking. This recipe was cooked with chicken breasts that were cut thinner lengthwise. If you want more lemon pepper flavor, add 1 teaspoon of lemon pepper seasoning to the sauce. Enjoy!

Chicken with Creamy Garlic Lemon Pepper Sauce

Preheat oven to 400° F.

Pat dry the chicken breasts and cut them lengthwise if the chicken is too thick. Season all sides of chicken with lemon pepper seasoning. (optional) Season with sprinkle of paprika and ground cumin.

Heat a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the 1 Tablespoon of butter to skillet and melt. Add the chicken and sear both sides until lightly browned, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

After chicken is browned, remove it from the skillet.  Reduce the heat to medium heat, and melt the 2 tablespoons of butter and stir in garlic. Cook garlic until fragrant. Add heavy whipping cream,  chicken broth, Worcestershire, lemon zest, lemon juice, and mustard. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste. Whisk the sauce until completely combined. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet.

Place the skillet in the oven and bake the chicken for about 20-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

After the chicken is cooked through, garnish with optional parsley. Serve the chicken with the lemon sauce over rice, pasta or noodles.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment. Add the potatoes to the pan and toss with a little bit of olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Roast for 25 minutes until lightly browned and delicious.

Let the sauce hang out over low heat until it starts to thicken enough to coat the back of a spoon. Remove the thyme sprigs. Whisk in the lemon juice, stir in the herbs, and season with salt and pepper. Give it a taste. Yes, you&#8217;re in heaven now.

I tried this tonight using half and half insead of cream and it did NOT thicken. That said, it was still pretty delicious, just poured it over the fish. We had a LOT leftover, I could have made half for 2 lbs. of fish.

This veal piccata, made with cutlets and butter and parsley, is a classic Italian dish. A quick and easy weeknight dinner.

Veal Piccata

Twelve (2- to 3-ounce) veal top round cutlets (or chicken breast

salt and black pepper

all-purpose flour

(2 oz) unsalted butter, plus more as needed

olive oil,

dry white wine

chicken stock chicken broth

lemon,

capers, drained

parsley leaves

Season

Season the veal on both sides with the salt and pepper and dredge in the flour, shaking off any excess. Place the veal on a plate.

Heat

In a 12-inch (30-cm) skillet over medium-high heat, warm 2 tablespoons butter and the oil. Working in batches, add the veal cutlets to the skillet, being careful not to crowd the skillet.

Cook

Cook, turning once, until golden brown, about 3 minutes total. (If using chicken or turkey, cook until no trace of pink remains, about 3 minutes per side.) Move to a platter or a baking sheet and loosely cover while you repeat with the remaining veal. If necessary, add more butter and oil to the skillet.

Reduce

Carefully add the wine to the skillet and cook, still over medium-high heat and scraping the bottom of the skillet, until reduced by half, about 3 minutes. Add the stock and lemon slices and bring to a boil.

Swirl

Cook until the sauce is reduced by half, about 8 minutes. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons butter, lemon juice, capers, and parsley and season with salt and pepper. Turn off the heat and tilt the pan to swirl the butter until it&#8217;s incorporated into the sauce.

Serve

Using tongs, place the cutlets back in the skillet, turn to coat them with the sauce, and let them warm through before arranging the cutlets on plates or a platter. Pour the remaining sauce over the cutlets and serve immediately. Originally published April 14, 2015.

Just came back to say that I made this last night using coconut milk (from a jar, not the refrigerated kind) and the sauce was delicious!! I do think the sauce separated a little after I added the lemon juice. My salmon wasn't done when I pulled it out so I had to put it back in the oven for an additional 5 minutes (my oven temperature lies 😂), and I had already added the lemon juice. Next time I'll wait until the very last second to add it in!

It look so yummy but for me that is on a doctor's control diet there is a lot of butten and heavy cream on it, can I use less butter and something else instead of cream? I love salmon and we grilled it all the time. Thanks for the yummy recipe.

The Best Easy Hollandaise Sauce

egg,

Tbsp lemon juice (0.02)

Separate the egg and place the egg yolk in a small saucepot. The whites can be saved for a different recipe.

Add the water and lemon juice to the pot with the yolk and whisk until smooth (no heat yet).

Cut the butter into small pieces (about ¼ Tbsp size) , then add them to the saucepot with the egg yolk, lemon, and water.

Place the pot over medium-low heat. Continuously whisk as the mixture heats. First the butter will melt, then the mixture will begin to get a bit frothy. Finally, as the egg yolk begins to cook, the sauce will thicken. Make sure you&#39;re whisking the entire time to achieve a light, smooth sauce. Once it thickens to the consistency of gravy, remove the pot from the heat.

Season the sauce with salt and cayenne, then drizzle the sauce over your favorite food!

Easy Hollandaise Sauce

This Lobster Ravioli Sauce is made from only a few simple ingredients yet tastes so decadent. This cream sauce is full of crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, and grated parmesan cheese. Serve it over fresh store-bought lobster ravioli for the easiest “fancy” dinner at home. Don’t forget the wine!

Lobster Ravioli Sauce

unsalted butter

shallot (diced finely)

garlic (pressed)

oregano

basil

salt

cracked pepper

dry white wine*

tomatoes

lemon (optional)

heavy cream*

(plus

store-bought

Review all recipe notes and instructions before beginning.

In a skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the shallot and garlic. Sauté until browned.

Stir in the dried herbs, salt, and pepper. Sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant.

Deglaze the pan with the white white, scraping any bits off the bottom.

Add the crushed tomatoes, lemon juice, and lemon zest.

Turn the heat to medium low. Stir in the cream and parmesan cheese. Bring to a simmer and then turn off the heat.

Toss the lobster ravioli in the sauce and serve with fresh basil and parmesan on top.

Fish with Lemon Caper Sauce

(two 6-ounces filets) firm White Fish

Tablespoons Olive Oil (or Butter)

Shallot (, minced or 2 Tablespoons minced onion)

Garlic (, minced)

dry White Wine

Lemon

Tablespoons Capers (, rinsed)

Parsley

Salt (,

Black Pepper (,

(optional) red Chili Flakes

Cook Fish

Season fish filets with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat non-stick frying pan on medium heat. Add olive oil or melt butter in the pan. Add the fish and cook on both sides until browned on both sides but still moist.

Make Sauce

Remove fish from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, add the shallot (or minced onion) and garlic. Cook until tender and translucent. Add the wine, lemon zest and lemon juice. Heat the sauce until it gently starts to boil. Reduce heat.

Simmer

Simmer the sauce for about 2 minutes or until it starts to reduce a bit. Add capers, parsley, salt, and pepper to taste.&nbsp; Add optional red chili flakes.

Combine

Return the fish to the pan and cook for about another 1-2 minutes or until the fish is warmed in the sauce. Serve warm.

Homemade Lemon Curd is rich, creamy, sweet, and tangy. This delicious fruit curd is easy to make with just 6 simple ingredients and a few basic steps. 

Lemon Curd

My guess is like a dressing, two tablespoons of this sauce would be about a serving. Meal preppers need fats too, and one could always cut serving in half for less.

I tried this, it's pretty yummy. However, here's a suggestion to improve things a bit - Use the packaged lemon juice that comes in a lemon-shaped yellow plastic container. This can last in your fridge for months, so it's very pantry friendly, and gives quite an improvement over white vinegar, which I pretty much use only for cleaning the kitchen. Yes, I made two batches and did a side-by-side comparison.

since this was posted, i must have it in my fridge because it is so delicious.  so today as i made my popcorn to watch "the crown" i thought, why not, and instead of melted butter, sprinkled some sunshine sauce over the cooked popcorn, followed by parmesan. yum!

IMO 2 tsp is way too much and I like salty things. I followed recipe exactly and it was WAY to salty. I am going to dilute down with some more EVOO. Other flavors are good.

Hi Erin, I agree with you.  Too much salt for sure and I think fresh herbs would be much better.  I doctored my batch up with some more vinegar and a touch of water to try to cut the salt.
