Crockpot Little Smokies Recipe

BBQ sauce

brown sugar ((or grape jelly))

Worcestershire sauce

Stir together the BBQ sauce, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce in the bottom of a crockpot. Add the little smokies and stir until coated.

Cook on low for 2-3 hours or until ready to serve.&nbsp;

This easy and addictive little smokies recipe is made even simpler thanks to the Crockpot and is perfect for game days and parties.

Slow Cooker Little Smokies

sausages

bottle honey-flavored barbecue sauce

brown sugar

white vinegar

bottle lager beer

Place the sausages in the bowl of a slow cooker. Add the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and beer and stir to combine.

Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or until the sausages are warmed through.

Lower heat and keep warm to serve.

These Pigs in a Blanket are a completely homemade version of a classic. Little smokies are wrapped up in a simple homemade crescent dough, topped with flavorful seasonings, then baked until hot, golden-brown, and flaky.

Pigs in a Blanket (from scratch!)

all purpose flour ((195 grams))

milk

butter

yeast

sugar

salt

water

garlic powder

parsley

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

OPTIONAL: you can use store bought crescent dough and save on prep time.

In a large bowl, stir together 1 cup flour, milk, butter, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add just enough flour to the dough so that it becomes smooth but no longer sticky -- don&#39;t add too much!

Divide dough into 4 portions and roll out into a rough rectangle, about 3 inches wide by 6 inches long. Cut rectangle into roughly 7-8 skinny triangles.

Place one smoke at the wide end of each triangle and roll up, pressing end to stick.

Repeat until all are done. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, beat egg with water. In another small bowl, stir together garlic powder and parsley.

Brush egg over tops of pigs in a blanket and immediately sprinkle with a bit of seasoning. Repeat until all are done.

Bake for 15 minutes or until tops are golden brown.

1½ cups all purpose flour (195 grams)
½ cup warm milk
¼ cup melted butter
2¼ teaspoons instant or quick yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
¾ teaspoon salt
30 little smokies
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon dried parsley

Preheat.

Preheat. Preheat the smoker to 275 degrees F.

Wrap in bacon.

Wrap in bacon. Cut bacon in thirds. Wrap each smoky with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Season.

Season. Place the wrapped smokies in a big glass bowl. Drizzle them with Buffalo sauce and toss gently to coat. Mix brown sugar and sweet rub in a separate bowl. Roll each smoky in the brown sugar mix. Set the seasoned and wrapped smokies on a flat roasting rack over a baking sheet.

Smoke.

Smoke. Place just the flat roasting rack on the grates of your 275-degree F smoker. Close the lid and smoke for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until bacon is rendered. and the smokies are hot throughout.

Enjoy.

Enjoy. Remove the bacon-wrapped smokies from the smoker and serve hot!

Everyone&#039;s favorite Pigs in a Blanket are dressed up for the holidays in this edible salad wreath. It&#039;s a festive appetizer that&#039;s the hit of every party!

Pigs In A Blanket Wreath

crescent rolls

pkg. cocktail smokies

Tbsp. bagel seasoning ((or poppy seeds))

bag mixed salad greens

cocktail tomatoes

BBQ sauce ((or sauce of your choice))

Press the crescent rolls into one long sheet on a parchment lined pan.

With a pizza cutter, cut the pastry sheet into 15 equal squares (3 long x 5 wide).

Cut each square into 2 triangles, equaling a total of 30.

Put a cocktail sausage on the small end of each triangle and roll it up in a 'blanket'

On a circular pizza pan or other baking dish, place a 6 inch oven-safe dish in the middle.

Place the pigs in a blanket in a circular pattern around the dish.  

Make sure the crescent rolls touch each other. You can stagger them in and out or arrange them in a smooth circle depending on how you want the wreath to look.

Brush crescent rolls with butter, then sprinkle with poppy seeds.

Bake wreath at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until edges are golden brown.

Cool for 10 minutes, then arrange mixed greens on the tray in the middle and outside of the circle. Garnish with cocktail tomatoes.

Take the oven safe dish away and place a small bowl of barbecue sauce or sauce of your choice in the middle.

Provide tongs and additional dressing for the salad.

This bacon wrapped little smokies are cooked in the air fryer.

Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies

16 oz package lil smokies

black pepper

garlic salt

Line baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick spray. Place smokies on the prepared pan.

Begin by cutting bacon into thirds. Wrap one bacon piece around each little smokie and place back on pan.

Place brown sugar, black pepper and garlic salt in a large bag or bowl. Working in batches, place wrapped smokies in the brown sugar mixture to coat.

Preheat air fryer.

Add wrapped smokies to air fryer basket, being sure not to stack on each other. Will probably have to cook 2 batches depending on size of air fryer.

Cook at 390 degrees for 5 minutes, flip them over and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Little Smokies, smothered in a sweet tangy BBQ sauce are one of the easiest, most loved appetizers out there. These are guaranteed to disappear whether it&#039;s for a party or dinner, these are just too tasty and fun not to eat.

Little Smokies

In a slow cooker add the little smokies to the bottom.  In a medium sized bowl combine the barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and paprika.

Pour the sauce over the smokies and cook on low for 2-3 hours.

Prepare a jelly roll pan (or large baking sheet with a rim), with a layer of aluminum foil, lightly coated with non-stick cooking spray. &nbsp;Set aside. &nbsp;Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.

Pat sausages dry with a paper towel and wrap each individual sausage with a piece of the cut bacon. &nbsp;Secure with a toothpick.

Add brown sugar, cayenne and black pepper to a large resealable plastic bag. &nbsp;Use a spoon to combine the sugar with seasonings. &nbsp;Add several bacon wrapped sausages, seal bag and shake gently to coat. &nbsp;Repeat with all remaining sausages.

Line sugar rubbed sausages on prepared baking sheet and bake 30 -35 minutes, until bacon is browned. &nbsp;For some extra crispness, broil for a couple of minutes after baking.
