Take this Healthy Taco Salad to work or school in a super convenient mason jar!&nbsp; This easy mason jar salad recipe is a gluten-free and easy work lunch that you can prep-ahead for the week!

Healthy Taco Salad in a Mason Jar

Tbsp. Olive oil

red onion (finely diced)

lb. lean ground beef (93/7)

Taco Seasoning Mix:

½ Tbsp. cumin

½ tsp. paprika

chili powder

salt

pepper

cayenne pepper

Mason Jar Taco Salads:

salsa (medium)

ranch dressing*

corn

black beans

tomatoes (finely diced)

cheddar cheese* (shredded)

avocado

greens

corn tortilla chips (crushed)

In a large skillet over medium heat add olive oil and chopped red onion.  Saute for 3-4 minutes or until almost cooked through.

Push onions to the side and add lean ground beef.  Saute for 7-8 minutes or until cooked through.

While beef is cooking mix together cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.

Once ground beef is done cooking, turn off heat and add seasoning ingredients.  Mix to combine.  Using a potato masher or the back of your fork, crumble the ground beef to your desired consistency.

In a small bowl whisk together the salsa and ranch.

In four 24-oz. wide mouth mason jars add equal amounts of the salsa-ranch, ground beef mixture, corn, beans, tomatoes, and cheese.  Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

The morning before serving, add ¼ of the avocado, 1 cup of greens, and crushed corn tortilla chips.*

Shake mason jar well before pouring contents into a large salad bowl to enjoy.

To make the dressing, add all of the dressing ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth. If the dressing is a little thick, add water 1 Tablespoon at a time. Dressing will naturally thicken when stored in the refrigerator.

Rinse the kelp noodles under cold water (helps remove the saltiness).

To assemble the mason jar salads, place 4 32oz. mason jars on the counter. From bottom to top, distribute the following ingredients evenly among each jar: dressing, kelp noodles, edamame, bell peppers, bean sprouts, cilantro, basil, shredded carrots, sesame seeds, zucchini noodles.

Screw on the lids and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. When ready to eat, flip the jar onto the plate to make sure you get the dressing on all of the veggies!

Cheeseburger Mason Jar Salad

beef

ketchup

tbsp yellow mustard

cherry tomatoes

dill pickles (thinly sliced)

red onion (thinly sliced)

cheddar cheese

green leaf lettuce leaves (roughly chopped)

Thousand Island dressing (to taste)

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Strain the grease from the meat and return it to the skillet and heat. Stir the ketchup and mustard into the beef. Lower the heat and cook, continuing to stir, until the mixture's warmed through. Remove the skillet from heat and allow it to cool.

Starting with the dressing, layer the ingredients equally into two mason jars. Follow the desired amount of dressing with the tomatoes, pickles, onions, cheese, cooled beef mixture and finally with the lettuce.

Seal the mason jars and store in refrigerator for up to 4 days.

How to Pack a Salad in a Jar

Clean jars with lid ((around 24 ounces

Layer 1: your favourite dressing

Layer 2: tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, asparagus, celery, peppers, carrots

Layer 3: mushrooms, zucchini, beans, lentils, peas, corn, broccoli

Layer 4: boiled eggs and cheese ((feta, gouda, cheddar etc.))

Layer 5: rice, pasta, quinoa or couscous

Layer 6: nuts and greens as lettuce, spinach or arugula.

Get all the ingredients ready, meaning cut, peel, wash the veggies/fruits. Boil the pasta, quinoa or rice.

Prepare the dressing(s)

Once everything is laid out chuck all the ingredients according to the layers into the jars. Then lid on top and off they go into the fridge. As easy as that.

Mason Jar Cobb Salads | Healthy Lunch Ideas

Lettuce,

Eggs,

Breasts,

Turkey Bacon

C. Cherry Tomatoes, halved

C. Cucumber, chopped

Red Onion, diced

Avocado

Glass Mason Jars

C. Homemade Avocado Mayo (or store-bought avocado mayo (Chosen Foods or Primal Kitchen))

tsp EACH of Dried Dill and Garlic Powder

tsp EACH of Dried Parsley, Dried Chives, and Onion Powder

White Pepper

Lemon

Tbsp

Season chicken breasts to your liking.  I used sea salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and poultry seasoning.  Bake at 375 F. for about 25 minutes or until done.  Or, pressure cook the chicken on high for 12 minutes.  Once chicken is done, shred it with a fork.

Boil eggs for 10 minutes.  Once done, peeled them and roughly chop them up.  Cook turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until done.  Then, cut into bite size pieces.

Prepare all the vegetables.  Chop/slice the tomatoes, cucumber, onion, and lettuce.

Add all salad dressing ingredients to a bowl and whisk until fully combined.

To assemble each mason jar, add in this order:  2 Tbsp of salad dressing (in each container), cherry tomatoes, cucumber, onion, boiled egg, shredded chicken, turkey bacon, and lettuce.  Add a lid and store containers in the fridge until ready to serve.

When ready to serve, dump all of the contents in the jar into a bowl.

Toss to combine, add avocado slices, and enjoy!

MASON JAR COBB SALADS | High Protein Lunch Meal Prep Ideas for Salad Recipes!

This pasta salad in a jar recipe is healthy, gluten free, dairy free, and grain free.  It&#39;s perfect for healthy lunch meal prep.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad In A Jar

C. Dairy Free Ranch Dressing ((or any type of ranch))

oz Gluten Free Fusilli

lb Chicken Breasts

Uncured Turkey Bacon

C. Broccoli Florets, cut to bite-size pieces

Cucumber,

C. Bell Pepper, de-seeded and chopped

C. Red Onion, finely chopped

C. Cherry Tomatoes, halved (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 F.  Prepare the dairy free ranch dressing.  *Tip:  I like to add 2-3 Tbsp of water to thin out the ranch, but this is optional.

Prep the chicken:  Season chicken breasts to your liking.  I rubbed it with paprika, poultry seasoning, garlic powder, sea salt, and pepper.  Bake for 25-35 minutes or until fully done (you can also pressure cook it).  Once done, shred it with a fork.  Set aside to cool.

Prep the Bacon:  Cook turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned.  Set aside to cool then cut into small pieces.  *Tip:  Add a touch of oil or avocado spray to the bacon if turkey is too lean.

Prep the Pasta:  Cook pasta noodles according to package instructions.  Drain and rinse with cool water.  Let cool completely.

Layer Salads:  Once you&#39;ve prepped all of the individual ingredients, it&#39;s time to layer the salads!  Add ingredients in this order - ranch dressing (1 C. evenly distributed), cucumber, onion, bell pepper, broccoli, chicken, bacon, pasta noodles.  Tightly pack the noodles into the jar.  Place the lid on top and store.

To Serve:  When ready to consume, dump everything into a bowl and toss to combine.  Add a sprinkle of sea salt and pepper (if desired) and enjoy!

Tortellini Caprese Mason Jar Salad

oz cheese tortellini (, refrigerated brand)

cherry tomatoes (, halved)

½ red onion (, diced)

orange bell pepper (, diced)

½ English cucumber (, chopped)

greens lettuce

salt and pepper

Tablespoons red wine vinegar

garlic (, minced)

dijon mustard

Italian seasoning

black pepper

lemon juice

honey

garbanzo beans (, white or black beans)

basil leaves

artichoke hearts

Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain, rinse under cold water and set aside.

Make Dressing: Add all dressing ingredients to a bowl then whisk well to combine. Taste and adjust seasonings, as desired.

Assemble: Divide dressing among the mason jars. Add onion, cherry tomatoes, tortellini, cucumber, orange bell pepper, onion and cheese. Top with lettuce-- tightly pack the jar. Add a pinch of salt and pepper and then apply mason jar lid. Refrigerate for up to 5 days.

Serve: Invert mason jar salad into a bowl, and enjoy!

Assemble the Mason Jar Salads: line up your mason jars. To each jar add 3 tablespoons of the dressing, 1/2 cup diced cucumber, 1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 cup bell peppers, 1/4 cup edamame,  1/2 cup shredded chicken, 1 1/2 cup chopped romaine, 1 tablespoon green onion and 1 tablespoon cashews..

Put the lid on and store in the refrigerator.
