Bisquick baking mix (mix with 1 cup of water)

cream cheese, softened

provolone cheese

cheddar cheese (sharp

Salt & black pepper

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, stir together Bisquick mix with 1 cup of water.  Spread evenly on the bottom of prepared baking dish.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté onion mushroom, peppers and garlic until softened, about 4 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a small bowl and set aside.

Cook the ground beef until completely cooked and no longer pink inside. Drain off the excess grease, then stir in the cooked veggies. 

Stir the Worcestershire sauce into the ground beef mixture, followed by the cubed softened cream cheese, over medium heat. Stir gently until the cream cheese is completely melted into the ground beef. Taste and add salt and pepper to taste.

Spread the meat and vegetable mixture on top of the biscuit layer. 

Top with the 8 slices of provolone cheese, followed by the shredded cheddar cheese.

Cook in 350°F oven for 30 minutes. I sometimes set the broiler on for two minutes at the end of the cook time and the cheese melts to a bubbly perfection and the tips golden brown.

This easy dish has all the flavors of the classic cheesesteak sandwich. But there&#039;s no bread added to keep it low-carb!

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a skillet over medium high heat, add 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, and the shaved steak meat.

Sprinkle the steak seasoning and salt and pepper to taste over the meat, and saute it until it is completely cooked through. Remove from the skillet, and set aside.

Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet, and add in the onions and peppers.

Season the veggies with salt and pepper to taste, and cook until just starting to become tender.

In a saucepan over medium heat, add the heavy whipping cream, cream cheese and salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook until the cream cheese melts, and the sauce thickens.

Stir ½ cup of the shredded cheese into the sauce, and mix to combine.

Place the meat and veggies in a well greased 9x9 baking dish, and pour the sauce over top, tossing to coat.

Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top, and bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese on top is slightly browned and bubbling.

Remove, let cook for a few minutes, top with freshly chopped parsley and serve.

Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

Large Eggs

¼ C. Heavy whipping cream

In a skillet over medium high heat on the stove, begin to brown the meat.

When the meat is partially browned, add the onions and peppers to the skillet. Cook until the meat is completely browned and the vegetables are beginning to soften.

Add the seasoned salt and minced garlic to the skillet and saute another 30 seconds. Drain any excess grease.

Layer the beef in the bottom of a well greased 9x9 baking dish.

Top the beef with the cheese slices.

Mix together the heavy whipping cream, worcestershire sauce and eggs in a bowl, and pour over the meat mixture in the baking dish.

Bake for 35-40 minutes until cooked through.

This Philly Cheesesteak Casserole brings all of the flavors of the beloved sandwich into an easy to make weeknight casserole!

cream cheese (softened)

milk

garlic powder

½ teaspoon ground pepper

onion powder

In a large skillet over high heat, brown the ground beef, onions, and bell pepper until the beef is cooked through and the onions and peppers are soft. Drain the fat and juices from the meat.

Dice 4 oz (about 2/3) of the provolone cheese.  Mix the diced provolone, softened cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion, powder, salt and pepper into the ground beef mixture.

Transfer to a casserole dish and cover the top of the meat mixture with the remaining thinly sliced provolone cheese.

Bake at 350˚F for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Optional: turn the oven to broil for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese gets slightly browned and bubbly on top. Watch carefully so as not to burn the cheese!

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.  Enjoy!

Love this recipe.   I use cheddar with some parmesan in the mix and put a bit of cheddar plus a ball (sliced) of mozzarella on the top (cannot easily get provolone in the UK). I also up the quantity of cream case to 200gm) and use very lean minced steak (500gm).

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Heat the butter in a wide skillet and cook the ground beef with the chopped onions and peppers for 10 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper until golden brown.

Add the parsley and stir.

Transfer the mixture to an ovenproof dish and add dollops of cream cheese evenly throughout the surface.

Top with the provolone cheese slices and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Serve hot.
