Keto Pizza Margherita

mozzarella cheese

almond flour

cream cheese

garlic powder

oregano

salt

pepper

tomato sauce

mozzarella

basil leaves

parmesan cheese (for garnish (optional))

sprinkle of dried oregano (or other seasonings, for garnish (optional))

Preheat the oven to 400°F

Add shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese to a non-stick skillet; heat over medium heat and stir until melted.

Remove from heat and let stand 30 seconds.

Stir in almond flour, egg, garlic powder, dried seasonings, salt, and pepper; continue to stir until thoroughly combined.

Transfer the dough to a parchment paper lined surface.

Add another piece of parchment paper over the dough. Take a rolling pin and place over the top parchment paper; start rolling into a circle until the dough is thin and spread out to about 9 inches.

If you do not have a rolling pin, wet the palms of your hands with cooking spray and press out the dough into a thin round.

Remove top parchment paper and slide the dough (with the bottom parchment paper) onto a baking sheet.

Prick dough all over with a fork and pop in the oven for 10 minutes.

If you see any bubbles forming on top of the pizza crust, remove from oven, poke down with a fork, and continue to bake.

When pizza crust is done baking, remove from oven and let stand for a minute.

FOR THE FATHEAD (KETO) DOUGH

Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the pizza crust and top with mozzarella cheese.

Bake for an additional 7 to 8 minutes, or until cheese is melted and pizza is bubbly.

Remove from oven, top with fresh basil leaves, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and oregano (if using) and serve.

FOR THE KETO PIZZA MARGHERITA

Make classic margherita pizza at home with this simple recipe! This Neapolitan pizza is fresh, delicious and easy to make. Recipe yields 2 medium (11-inch diameter) pizzas.

easy whole wheat pizza dough or 1 pound store-bought pizza dough

(28 ounces) whole San Marzano tomatoes

(dry weight) ovoline-type mozzarella

fresh basil, thinly sliced plus small leaves

garnishes: Drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, flaky sea salt

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit with a rack in the upper third of the oven. If you’re using a baking stone or baking steel, place it on the upper rack. Prepare dough through step 5.

Place a medium mixing bowl in the sink and pour the canned tomatoes into the bowl, juices and all. Crush the tomatoes by hand. Spread about 3/4 cup of the tomato sauce evenly over each pizza, leaving about 1 inch bare around the edges.

If your mozzarella is packed in water, drain off the water and gently pat the mozzarella dry on a clean tea towel or paper towels. If you&#8217;re working with large mozzarella balls, tear them into smaller 1-inch balls. Distribute the mozzarella over the pizza, concentrating it a bit more in the center of the pizza, as it will melt toward the edges.

Bake pizzas individually on the top rack until the crust is golden and the cheese is just turning golden, about 10 to 12 minutes (or significantly less, if you’re using a baking stone/steel—keep an eye on it).

Top each pizza generously with fresh basil, followed by a light back-and-forth drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkling of salt, and red pepper flakes, if you wish. Slice and enjoy. Leftover pizza will keep well in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Best Pizza, always have been a fan of the Margherita so light simple and great flavor. Have you tried to make it with a sprouted wheat flour or any thing other that a white or wheat flour? Gluten free low on carbs keto type  thing.

Yum! This is the third recipe I've tried from Cookie and Kate and I'm pleased once again. I used Kate's pizza dough recipe (will write a separate review for that) and fresh mozzarella with basil from my garden. This was absolutely delicious, so easy, and I caught my picky (and brutally honest) partner having a second piece a couple hours after our dinner! That's how you know it's truly good! ;)

The best pizza I have made so far, my kid loves it and he is a picky eater. Thank you for sharing this excellent and yet easy recipe. I have tried some of your recipes and I liked them all, great work!

I made a few changes to fit our needs and likes. I used two garlic Naan breads for the crusts and added about a tablespoon of dried Italian seasoning and a tablespoon of sugar to the sauce. It was yummy!

Zuerst den Teig nach dem Rezept weiter oben im Artikel zubereiten. Während der Gehzeit dann die Tomatensauce vorbereiten und etwas abkühlen lassen.


Den Mozzarella aus der Packung holen und abtropfen lassen. Den Käse anschließend in Scheiben schneiden oder kleine Stücke rupfen. Das Basilikum waschen und trocken schütteln.


Den Ofen auf 250 Grad vorheizen. Während er aufheizt, den Teig auf einer bemehlten Arbeitsfläche ausrollen. Jetzt mit einer Schöpfkelle die Tomatensauce auf die Pizza geben und kreisförmig verstreichen. Dann eine Kugel Mozzarella pro Pizza darauf verteilen und für 10 Minuten backen. Zum Schluss das Basilikum auf die Pizza geben und genießen.

500 g Polpa di pomodoro

Mozzarella

q.b. Parmigiano Reggiano DOP grattugiato

Unite farina, un pizzico di sale e il lievito sciolto nell’acqua frizzante, aggiungete dell’olio extravergine d’oliva all’impasto e lavoratelo fino a ottenere un panetto

Lasciate riposare il panetto d&#039;impasto per almeno due ore, quindi ungete d’olio una teglia rotonda e stendetevi sopra l’impasto lasciando i bordi più alti

Condite con della polpa di pomodoro e un pizzico di sale, quindi infornate a 250 gradi per 10 minuti, facendo ben attenzione a non far cuocere troppo la pizza

Dopo 10 minuti aggiungete la mozzarella, il formaggio grattugiato, le foglie di basilico fresco e infornate alla stessa temperatura per altri 10 minuti

ISTRUZIONI:Aggiungete in una brocca con l&#039;acqua frizzante a temperatura ambiente il lievito e fatelo sciogliere molto bene.In una ciotola capiente versate la farina e iniziate ad aggiungere metà acqua e lievito impastando.Aggiungere il sale e la restante acqua.A filo aggiungete l&#039;olio.Trasferite su un piano e lavorate energicamente fino ad ottenere un impasto morbido e compatto.Lasciate riposare l&#039;impasto per 10 minuti coperto da una ciotola.Trasferite ora l&#039;impasto in una ciotola e coprite con pellicola trasparente.Mettete a lievitare per almeno 2 ore.Per il condimento, tagliate il fiordilatte a listarelle e fate sgocciolare bene in un colino.Versate la polpa di pomodoro in un&#039;altra ciotola e conditela con il sale, un giro d&#039;olio e l&#039;origano.
