Twelve Yolk Pound Cake

egg yolks (room temp)

all-purpose flour

baking powder

salt

sugar

vanilla

lemon extract

water

Prepare a 10-inch (12 cup) tube pan or 12 cup bundt pan with non-stick spray.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together.

In a mixing bowl, beat egg yolks until very fluffy and thick.

Gradually beat in sugar and beat 2 minutes on high speed, stopping to scrape the bowl.

Reduce speed to low and add vanilla, lemon, and cold water.

Gradually, but quickly add sifted flour mixture while beating on low, scrape bowl.

Beat only long enough to blend, about 2 minutes.

Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown or when pick inserted in thickest portion of the cake comes out clean or with dry crumbs.

Cool cake for 15 minutes on wire rack before removing from the pan. Loosen sides of&nbsp;cake from pan with a spatula, then remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack.

Store in an airtight container 4 days or on countertop or 1 week in the refrigerator.

This rich and moist pound cake has big notes of butter and vanilla. It&#x27;s an easy to make cake that melts in your mouth and will bring a smile to your face.

Pound Cake

eggs

unsalted butter (226 grams, room temperature)

sugar (200 grams)

all-purpose flour (180 grams)

sour cream (120 milliliters)

tsp baking powder

Preheat oven to 350F. Butter and flour a 9x5 inch baking tin.

In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder then set aside.

In a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment cream the butter. Add sugar in and mix until light and fluffy. Scrape the bowl down and beat a few more seconds.

Add the eggs in one at a time while mixing ad medium speed. Scrape the bowl down and beat until fully incorporated.

Add the sour cream, and vanilla. Mix until incorporated. Scrape the bowl down.

Add the flour mixture in and mix until combined. Scrape the bowl down and use your spatula to mix in any pockets of flour or butter that remain.

Transfer batter into tin then give a quick smooth to even the batter out a bit. Bake at 350F for about 40 minutes or until the center is set and a skewer comes out clean.

Allow to cool in the tin for about 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

This Beyond EASY and DELICIOUS pound cake is an irresistible, moist, buttery, melt in your mouth treat with the perfect note of vanilla. I live for a slice with my coffee in the morning but it’s an amazing dessert when paired with some whipped cream and berries and honestly it’s basically perfect when you’re just grabbing a slice on the go.

Perfect Pound Cake Recipe

It&#x27;s buttery with a tender crumb and hints of bourbon. You&#x27;ve got to try this cake!

Woodford Reserve Bourbon Cake with Caramel Glaze

vegetable shortening

brown sugar

eggs (at room temperature)

half and half (at room temperature (heavy cream

Tablespoons bourbon (Woodford Reserve bourbon,

all-purpose flour (sifted then measured correctly)

Tablespoon pure vanilla extract

brown sugar (firmly packed)

whipping cream

butter

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and sugar (I use granulated sugar but you can use flour) a 10x4-inch, 12 cup bundt pan (that&#039;s larger than a typical bundt pan) or a tube pan with solid vegetable shortening or Wilton Cake Release.

In the bowl of your electric mixer, cream butter and shortening at medium speed. Gradually add brown sugar, beating until light and creamy. Stop mixer and scrape sides.

Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until blended. Stop mixer and scrape sides with a spatula.

Add bourbon to half and half; set aside.

In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture alternately with the milk mixture to the ingredients in the mixing bowl beginning and ending with flour. Beat at low speed just until blended after each addition. Stop mixer and scrape sides with a spatula.

Stir in vanilla. Pour batter into your prepared baking pan.

Bake at 325°F for 1 hour 10 to 15 minutes. A long wooden pick inserted in the center should come out clean when the cake is done. Cool in pan on wire rack 15 to 20 minutes then remove from pan to cake plate.

Cool the cake completely on a wire rack before glazing. It will take about an hour for the cake to cool completely.

Bring brown sugar, whipping cream, and butter to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Whisk constantly.

Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Gradually whisk in powdered sugar until smooth and the mixture begins to thicken. This will take 3 to 5 minutes.

Immediately pour frosting over the cooled cake.

Store in an airtight container on the countertop for 1 week. Freezes well.

Caramel Glaze

This classic vanilla bundt cake is based on my moist butter pound cake in a bundt pan. Soft, buttery and moist that&#039;s perfect on its own with powdered sugar. You can bake it in a bundt pan, or a loaf pan.

Classic Vanilla Bundt Cake

oz Unsalted butter

White sugar

Cake flour ((or all-purpose flour)

Eggs (large)

Baking powder

Salt

Buttermilk

tsp Vanilla extract

oz Powdered sugar

Milk

((optional))

Preheat oven to 325°F/165°C/Gas mark 3

Butter and flour a 6-cup Bundt Pan. You can also use 2 x 6-inch round cake pans

In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set asidePro tip -sifting the flour will give a light and airy texture to the cake.

In the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.Pro tip - we want to add some volume in the batter and the sugar completely dissolved so make sure to cream well.

Add the eggs, one at a time.  Then, add the vanilla extract.Pro tip-  ensure the eggs are at room temperature or the batter will curdle. If that happens just add a tablespoon or two of flour and combine well.

Followed by the flour and buttermilk in three batches.Pro tip - the batter looks a bit stiffer than regular vanilla cake but do not be tempted to add more milk or the cake might sink.

Scrape the sides of the bowl, ensure you have a smooth batter. Pour into prepared bundt pan. Spread evenly with a spatula. Tap a few times to remove any air pockets.

Bake for 40 to 45 mins until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool in the pan for 10 minutes then invert on a cooling rack and cool completely.  Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

In a bowl combine the powdered sugar, with milk, and other flavorings. Stir until you have a thick pouring consistency. Pour over cooled cake (warm cake will melt the glaze) Pro tip - you want a thick glaze so start with less milk then add as necessary to bring to consistency.

BUTTER POUND CAKE – CLASSIC VANILLA BUNDT CAKE

Mix vinegar and soy milk in small bowl.

Mix the apple cider vinegar into the soy milk in a small bowl, and set aside.

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.

In a large mixing bowl, add the flour and baking powder. Mix together.

Mix all ingredients together.

Combine the dry ingredients with the butter mixture and soy milk mixture. Fold together until you get a smooth batter.

Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes.

Pour batter into loaf pan. Place into oven and bake for about 60 minutes. It’s ready when a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve.

Let pound cake cool down before removing from the loaf pan. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the cake before serving.
