These vegan protein waffles are super healthy and perfect for meal prepping!

Vegan Protein Waffles

rolled oats (Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free)

plant-based protein powder (Arbonne (Chocolate or Vanilla))

almond milk

banana

coconut oil (melted)

tsp baking powder

maple syrup

tsp sea salt

Preheat the waffle iron.

Grind the Oats. Turn the 1 cup rolled oats into a fine flour using a high-velocity blender at full speed for 30-45 seconds. Transfer the oat flour to a separate bowl.

Liquid Ingredients. Add the 1/2 cup mashed banana, 1 1/4 cup almond milk, 1/3 cup melted coconut oil, and 2 tsp maple syrup to the blender container and blend at high speed for 30-40 seconds, or until smooth.

Add Dry Ingredients. Add the oat flour from step #2, 1/2 cup Arbonne Plant-Based Protein Powder (chocolate or vanilla, I used chocolate), 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp sea salt to the blender container. Blend until very smooth (30 to 45 seconds).

Pour the Batter into your waffle iron according to your manufacturer&#x27;s instructions. Cook for around 5 minutes, or until the indicator light turns on or there is no more steam coming out of the waffle maker.

Serve with your favorite healthy toppings. I used maple syrup, coconut whipped cream, and blackberries.

Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days in an airtight container or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Flapjack & Waffle Mix, buttermilk flavor

milk, 2%

avocado oil

eggs,

cooking oil spray of choice

mixed berries

whipped cream ((optional; can use sugar free whipped topping or regular))

fruit

Measure

Measure the Kodiak Cake baking mix into a medium-sized bowl. Add the milk, eggs, and oil. Stir it up into a fairly uniform mixture (some small lumps in the batter are fine).

Heat

Plug in your waffle maker and let it heat up. Spritz both sides of the heated waffle maker with cooking spray.

Cook

Pour the right amount of batter into the waffle maker. My waffle maker uses ½ cup of batter per waffle. (Nutrition information per waffle will be impacted if you use a different volume of the batter.) Shut the waffle maker and let your waffle cook.

Make

When your waffle has finished cooking, spray the waffle maker with additional cooking spray and make your next waffle. My waffle maker has a light that goes off when the waffle is done cooking. Make the mixed berry syrup while the waffles are cooking.

To make the syrup, put the frozen berries in a small saucepan over medium heat and add the maple syrup. If you&#039;re using a sugar-free &quot;maple&quot; syrup, you may want to heat and mash the berries first, then add the syrup. Some sugar-free syrups react strangely to being heated.

Keep the berries over the heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently. They will thaw and become quite mushy. Remove them from the heat and mash them with a potato masher or a fork.

Serve

To serve: when your waffles have finished cooking, plate them and top them with the berry syrup. Finish with any optional whipped cream, or fresh fruit you&#039;ve decided to use. Bon appetit!

These light and fluffy low carb Protein Waffles make the perfect easy breakfast or snack. Freezer friendly too for make ahead!

Protein Waffle Recipe

scoop protein powder

egg (or 20 g of egg whites)

Water consistency (I use 3 tablespoons)

Preheat waffle iron

Add protein powder, egg and baking powder to a small bowl.

Add enough water to get to desired consistency.

Spray waffle maker with spray cooking oil on both sides

Pour batter into waffle iron and cook for recommended time per your manufacturer's suggestion. (3 minutes for me)

There was nothing for me to eat. They just burned on the pan with no substance in between the burnt part.

I see other people commenting it might depend on the protein powder used. But I used a scoop of the Nothing Naughty Vanilla Protein powder and it tasted like plastic eggs :( 
I'd suggest the recipe be updated to a gram amount of protein powder and maybe some brand suggestions.

I used Orgain Chocolate. I don't know if it's the Orgain or just the recipe but they were barely edible. The texture is strange.

I just made these for a snack and the texture was great! Not dry at all for me. I did add some Sugar Free French Vanilla syrup in the batter.

I made this with Orgain peanut butter protein powder and I used only the white in my egg and about 3/4 of a teaspoon of baking powder. I then made a peanut butter drizzle with pb2. Omg so good!

I could not tell they were protein waffles! I really think the protein powder makes all the difference in how these turn out. I use Lean1 Vanilla and it was great! I added a little vanilla flavor in addition. They were not super fluffy but the taste was a winner. Thank you for sharing! This will be my go to!

Too dry, texture feels like I'm chewing on paper towels, if this has anything to do with the type of protein powder I had to use I need a recommendation. I used whey protein.

I highly recommend staying away from this recipe if you're planning on using strawberry protein powder. Peanut butter would probably be best, but please for the love of God do not use strawberry

I made these with Dymatize ISO 100 Vanilla protein powder. My protein powder has one of the larger scoops that's equal to a 1/4 cup. I only used 2 T of egg beaters (the equivalent of 1/2 egg) because it seemed like they'd be too eggy with a whole egg. I also added a few blueberries &amp; a squeeze of lemon because I wanted those flavors. I used a mini waffle iron and it filled all 4 molds, overflowing slightly, but not out of the waffle iron. I give them 4 stars because they came out pretty dry and a bit too sweet for me, but that's the protein powder I used. Next time I will use my quest multipurpose protein powder which is unsweetened so I can adjust myself plus 1-2 tablespoons of apple sauce as another person suggested because they really need some moisture. Otherwise, they were pretty good. Thanks for this awesome base recipe.

I used 310 Vanilla Cake powder in my waffle. In addition I separated the egg and mixed the yolk with the water. I mixed the water/yolk mixture with the protein powder/baking powder to make a batter. I then whipped the white and folded it into the batter. I will try it again without the fuss of a separated egg foam process, like traditional waffles and see if I get a similar, or inferior waffle. 

In the end, I felt like this definitely scratches the I want a waffle itch. Its a keeper.

Protein Waffles

rolled oats ((25 grams))

vanilla

cinnamon

baking powder

salt

plain greek yogurt

vanilla extract

oil, butter/ghee, or cooking spray,

maple syrup, fruit, chocolate chips, nut butter…

Blend your oats. Add rolled oats to your blender and blend for 15-30 seconds or so until it is broken down into a flour consistency.

Combine your dry ingredients. Add processed oats, protein powder, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl and mix well to combine.

Mix your wet ingredients. In a separate medium bowl, add your egg, greek yogurt, and vanilla extract and mix well to combine. Add your dry ingredients to your wet and mix until combined. Try not to overmix. The batter should be pretty thick. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes.

Heat up your waffle iron. Pour batter into your waffle iron (the amount will depend on what size you are using) and let cook until crispy and golden brown. You may have to make them in batches depending on how big your waffle maker is.

Easy Protein Waffles

½ Cup Rolled Oats

Large Whole Egg

Large Egg White

Greek Yogurt (or Cottage Cheese)

Scoop Protein Powder (Your Choice Flavor)

½ Teaspoon Baking Powder

Blend or process all of your ingredients together until smooth

Turn your waffle maker on and coat it with some non-stick cooking spray

These waffles are my 9 year old sons favorite. He gobbles the whole batch up all by himself!

If I wanted to use whole eggs would I use 1 or 2 for the basic mixture? I only ask as I tried a basic waffle recipe and it came out very “eggy” tasting.
