Breakfast Casserole

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13’’ pan with cooking spray.

Combine the eggs, sour cream, milk, cheese and salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix on low speed with electric mixers, just until combined.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Drain most of the grease and add the sausage to the bowl with the egg mixture.

Add the bell peppers and onion to the same skillet the sausage was cooked in and sauté for 2- 3 minutes. Add to the bowl with the eggs and stir everything to combine.

Pour mixture into greased 9x13’’ pan and bake for 35-50 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is just barely jiggly.

Leftover egg casserole can be stored in the fridge and enjoyed within 3-4 days. Leftovers are delicious reheated in the microwave.&nbsp;

Preheat oven to 400.

Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Unroll crescent sheet and spread onto the bottom of a greased 9×13 pan. Evenly spread sausage over the dough. Sprinkle cheese on top.

In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Pour over the top of your casserole

Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes until eggs are set and crust is golden.

Assemble this breakfast casserole the night before you plan to serve it, and simply bake it in the morning for a hearty and delicious meal!

Make-Ahead Sausage Breakfast Casserole

white bread ((6 cups cubed))

spinach

tomatoes (diced)

Make-ahead Sausage Breakfast Casserole

Butter an 8×12 casserole dish, and set it aside.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, cubed bread, cheddar, spinach, and tomatoes, and toss together well until evenly distributed. Pour this mixture into the buttered casserole dish.

In another bowl, whisk to combine the eggs, until lightly blended. Add the heavy cream and milk, and add a big pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk until smooth, then pour it all over the bread cube mixture in the casserole dish. (You will notice that the liquid does not completely cover all of the bread, and that’s fine. By the time you wake up in the morning, the liquid should be absorbed.)&nbsp;

Cover the casserole dish with plastic wrap or foil and store in the fridge overnight, or for up to 18 hours.

When you wake up in the morning, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and bake the casserole for 1 hour until the custard has set and the top is golden brown. Serve and enjoy!

Crumble sausage into a large frying pan, season with minced onions and Italian seasoning, and cook until brown and slightly crisp

Drain sausage on a paper towel-lined plate, and set aside

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, salt and pepper together

Place the cut bread evenly in a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish, and top with sausage and shredded cheese

Pour egg mixture evenly over the top, cover, and refrigerate overnight

The next morning, remove cover, and bake in a 350-degree oven for 45 minutes, or until casserole is heated through

Top with extra shredded cheese, if desired

This Overnight Sausage and Egg Breakfast Casserole is a classic in our house! I’ve been having it on holiday mornings since I was a kid and have carried the tradition into adulthood.

Overnight Sausage and Egg Breakfast Casserole

Spread the bread evenly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

2. Sprinkle the sausage and cheese evenly over the bread.

3. In a large measuring cup, combine the eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt and pepper.

4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the ingredients in the pan.

6. Prior to baking, preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until set. Cover it loosely for the first 30 minutes or so, then bake uncovered for the reminder. You may need to bake it for a little more or less time depending on your oven and how soft or “runny” you prefer the eggs to be. I don’t really like it to be runny, but I also don’t want it to dry out. To check it, use a fork or knife to stick in the middle and see how soft it still is.

*I like to use a little bit sturdier bread. Often I use the Pepperidge Farms Sourdough loaf.

For a little more nutrition, I added some fresh spinach to the sausage at the end to wilt it and added sliced Roma tomatoes on top! Soooo good

I make this about once a month for a quick and easy breakfast option for my husband and me. I portion out individual servings and we eat it throughout the week. Always tastes just as good on day 3 or 4 as it does in day 1!

This easy Overnight Breakfast Casserole is loaded with sausage, eggs, cheese and veggies and is refrigerated overnight. Perfect for Christmas morning or any brunch menu!

Fireman's Overnight Breakfast Casserole

mushrooms

condensed cream of mushroom soup

garlic powder

Lightly grease a 9 x 13 baking dish. Set aside.

Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain meat. Add mushrooms, onion and green pepper to the same skillet. Stir and cook over medium heat for 6-7 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.

Break eggs into baking dish keeping the yolks intact. Do your best to evenly distribute the egg yolks around the pan. Poke a hole in each of the yolks with a toothpick. Pour cream over eggs and top with 1/2 of cheese.

Using a slotted spoon, add sausage mixture to the baking dish. Top with remaining cheese, cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook covered for 30 minutes and uncovered for another 30 minutes.

Casserole:

Combine soup, milk and garlic powder in a small saucepan and cook until heated through. Add additional milk to reach desired consistency. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with breakfast casserole.

Easy Sausage Hashbrown Breakfast Casserole

hashbrowns (defrosted (this is usually half a bag))

Preheat

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and brown sausage. 

Layer defrosted hash browns in greased 7x11 or 9x9 casserole dish.

Layer

Prepare Eggs

Mix together the eggs with seasonings and milk and pour over the layers of hashbrowns, sausage, and cheese.

Bake

This croissant casserole is an easy breakfast recipe for Christmas morning and a perfect brunch recipe. You&#039;ll make again and again!

Sausage Croissant Breakfast Casserole

Parmesan cheese (shredded)

croissants (depending on size, you'll need 5-7 croissants)

evaporated milk

eggs (lightly beaten)

gruyere cheese (shredded)

Spray baking dish with non-stick cooking spray, set aside.

Cook and crumble sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain fat on paper towel.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked/crumbeld sausage torn croissants green onions, parmesan cheese and salt. Pour in the prepared baking dish.

Whisk eggs and evaporated milk. Pour over the croissant sausage mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

The next day remove casserole from refrigerator. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Remove plastic wrap. Sprinkle the top of the casserole with shredded Gruyère cheese. Bake uncovered 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Slice biscuits into quarters and place pieces in the sprayed baking dish.

Whisk

Add milk, shredded cheddar cheese, cooked breakfast sausage, bell pepper, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the egg mixture and stir well to mix.

Pour

Pour egg mixture over the biscuits in the baking dish.

Place baking dish in oven for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove from oven and cover lightly with aluminum foil and return to oven for 10 minutes.

Stir

In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, garlic powder and dried parsley.

Spread

Remove baking dish from oven, remove aluminum foil and spread melted butter mixture evenly over casserole. Cover again with aluminum foil and return to oven to bake for 10 more minutes (this will be 45 minutes bake time total).

Remove

Remove casserole from oven and insert knife in middle of casserole to test if eggs are thoroughly cooked.

Cool

Let casserole cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
