Aw man, this soup is the bomb dot com! I wasn't sure if I was going to like it because of the sausage (never had it in soup),but it turned out amazing!! I added a can of diced tomatoes and oh my! 🤤 I'm getting ready to make it again for Christmas.

Amazing recipe, we like it hot so use hot Italian sausage instead. I also usually add 12 cups (3 cartons of chicken broth because I find the liquid barely covers once the beans and kale is added. Which means I also triple the amount of herbs!!Plus it lasts longer with my hubby and kids!! Tonight I’m trying it with chickpeas instead because I forgot to soak my beans last night!! Loved this soup! I substituted chicken stock & used the water from cooking the beans for a thicker soup. I also chopped baby kale which I found really mild & smooth compared to full grown kale. Even the picky eaters loved it!

My whole family loves this--I make it about once a month. We're vegetarians so we use veggie sausage. Also adding a can of fire-roasted tomatoes definitely kicks this up a notch. Top it with shaved parmesan and serve it alongside some garlic bread and it's a hearty meal!

Pressure Cooker Keto Italian Sausage Kale Soup

Onion (diced)

Turn your pressure cooker on to Sauté.

When it is hot, add in the sausage and using a wooden spoon, break up the meat so it is more like ground beef rather than a sausage. In other words, smooth the sausages down and break them into bits. Be ruthless.

Add in the onions and garlic and mix well. Don't worry about cooking the sausage, the pressure cooker will do that for you. Your job is to just mix everything up.

Add in the frozen cauliflower and frozen kale. Don't worry about mixing these, they will mix in as they thaw and cook.&nbsp;

Add in 3 cups of water and close the pressure cooker.

Cook on High pressure for 3 minutes, and allow it to release pressure naturally for 5 minutes. Slowly release all remaining pressure.

Do this in bursts and if your cooker starts to spit or froth, just stop for a few minutes and try again.

Open the pot and stir. In a slow and steady stream, add the whipping cream and mix until you have a lovely, creamy soup. It's okay to mash some of the cauliflower with your spoon at this time to get a thicker soup.

Pour into bowls, garnish with shredded parmesan cheese, and serve.

Slow Cooker Tuscan Sausage and Kale Soup

(796 milliliters) jar crushed/strained tomatoes (passata)

If using storebought sausages, remove casings and break up meat. If making your own, mix together sausage ingredients and break up. Add to slow cooker, along with rest of ingredients except for red pepper and kale.

Cook on high for 6 hours or low for 8 hours. When ready to serve, stir in red pepper and kale, then let sit for 3-4 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Begin by gathering and prepping all of your ingredients according to the ingredients list above to have organized and ready for use.

To prepare the soup, place a large soup pot over medium-high heat, and once hot, add in the slices of beef smoked sausage (you won't need added oil, as the sausage will release its own fat). Sear the slices for a few minutes until fairly browned, flipping them as needed.

Next, add the diced onion to the pot, along with the Italian seasoning, a couple of good pinches of black pepper and the white pepper, and saute with the sausage until softened and golden; then, stir in the garlic and saute just until fragrant.

Add in the diced potatoes and stir to combine, followed by the chicken stock (or broth). Cover the pot with the lid askew, and allow the soup to simmer, gently, for about 12 minutes.

After 12 minutes, add in the navy beans, stir to combine, and allow the soup to simmer for about 10 minutes more, or just until the diced potatoes are tender.

Turn the soup off and stir in the roughly chopped kale, allowing it to wilt into the hot soup; add in the parsley as well, plus the tiny squeeze of lemon to add a ever-so-slight “bright” note.

Ladle the sausage soup into bowls and serve with bread, if desired.

Rinse but don&#39;t peel potatoes. Poke with a fork several times each and place in the microwave. Cook for 9-12 minutes or until potatoes are softened on all sides. (I use a clean dish towel to lightly squeeze and check them since they are hot). Chop cooked potatoes into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

While potatoes are in the microwave, chop and cook bacon in a large dutch oven over high heat for 10 minutes or until edges are crispy. When done, scoop out cooked bacon pieces and set aside on a plate or in a bowl. Drain excess bacon fat and return unwashed pot to stove. Keep heat on high.

Add sausage to dutch oven along with cayenne pepper and diced onion. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring every minute or so. Add minced garlic then cook for an additional minute or until sausage is browned.

Add cooked bacon to pot along with potatoes, chicken broth, chicken bullion, kale and drained navy beans. Bring to a boil.

Once boiling, stir in half and half. Then remove from heat and serve.

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

I make a lot of soup, and this was AMAZING!!  I added carrots, celery, and a dried chili for some heat.

Oh my! This was so darn good. I am not a cook. I make about 5 or 6 things well and they are in heavy rotation.  So I was skeptical that I could make this. But with kale wilting away in the fridge and left over Italian sausage my husband had from another recipe, I decided to gave it a try. (I even sent him out with the kids to get burgers because I figured we’d need a back up when I failed this recipe). 
But this was so darn easy to make and oh so very good! We both ate this instead of the burgers. Also agreed, this is so good even without adding the heavy cream. I happened to have some on hand, but it would have been equally as good without it.

Every single member loved this! I had to sub smoked sausage for the turkey sausage and Italian seasoning for the thyme and this turned out super well. Also omitted the cream for my husband who has an aversion to creamy things but I personally think it would have added tons of body. We paired it with multigrain rolls and it was gone in seconds. Can't wait for the leftovers!

Natural release for 10 minutes and then vent until all pressure is released.
