I would recommend matching the written directions to the video directions. The written directions don't say to drain the fat from the beef searing. I didn't watch the video, so this turned out a thin, soupy disaster. Terrible.

Wonderful recipe. I changed it up by using both ground Sirloin as well as a cubed up Chuck Roast and adding the proverbial kidney and pinto beans plus added more diced tomatoes than called for - used the new product RoTel Diced Tomatoes with Serrano Pepper and it added another level of zing.

Is there something wrong with the waffle mixture.  That comes out pretty thick and dry.  I had to add milk to loosen it up.

This is very good. The shorter marinating time makes more sense than doing it overnight.  I added onion powder to the coating on the chicken because one reviewer thought it needed it.  We do have leftover waffles and that is fine with me.

It was great!  But we found the breading to be bland.  Needs more salt, garlic, and maybe some more spices. 
Otherwise it was a hit!

Perfect Banana Pudding

c. whole milk

(5.1-oz.) package vanilla pudding mix

(14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

heavy cream

pure vanilla extract

(12-oz.) box vanilla wafer cookies

I made this recipe. It was quick and easy to put together. I did not have sweetened condensed milk, so I combined one can (12 ounces) of evaporated milk with 2 1/4  cups of granulated sugar which I then boiled on the stovetop stirring constantly until it thickened. Chilled it in an ice bath to cool so that I could add it to the instant pudding mixture. Everybody loved this super smooth delicious banana putting.

This was the first time I made this recipe because I usually make banana pudding from scratch with egg yolks and milk and cook on the stove until done. I will definitely save this recipe and make it again and again (this time I’ll make sure I have sweeten condensed milk in the pantry before I begin). I definitely rated five stars and everyone raved about how good it was!  Thanks Delish!

I've made Banana Pudding different ways. I always prefer homemade pudding of course, but I usually don't have the time. I "never" use instant pudding, I don't buy it, it taste fake. I use the Cook&Serve Vanilla pudding. I've never used banana pudding (it doesn't taste like real bananas). I don't use condensed milk because it makes it too sweet. I usually use 2 tubs of Cool Whip, 1 for the pudding and the other (about ¾) for the topping. My great-grandmother never used any type of whipped topping and it came out great, of course she made everything from scratch. 
My aunt uses French Vanilla pudding. It's very good, if you like French Vanilla pudding.

I've made this recipe for about 20 years.  If you're in a pinch,  use Cool Whip and it's even easier.  I add the bananas to the pudding/ cream mixture and then layer that between the wafers.

I've never seen or had banana pudding made with instant pudding.

This Southern-style chicken stew is full of hearty veggies, potatoes, bacon, and succulent chicken swimming in a knee-slappin’ delicious super broth.

Chicken Stew

vegetable oil

chicken thighs, (cut into large inch chunks)

bacon, (chopped)

onion, (diced)

garlic, (minced)

anchovy paste

chicken broth,-divided

white wine

soy sauce

butter

chicken flavor Better Than Bouillon

all-purpose flour

bay leaves

thyme, (minced)

potatoes

carrots,

peas, (thawed)

parsley, (chopped)

Heat the vegetable oil (2 tablespoons) in a large pot until it shimmers. Brown the chicken (3 pounds) in batches, making sure not to crowd the pan. Transfer to a mixing bowl and repeat with the remaining chicken. Leave fond in the pan and wipe up oil with a paper towel and a set of tongs.

Cook the bacon (4 slices) in the same pot, stirring frequently until crispy. Transfer to bowl with chicken.

Stir in onion (1 1/2 cups), garlic (4 cloves), and anchovy paste (2 teaspoons) to the pot then continue to cook, stirring constantly, on high heat until brown bits form on the bottom of the pan. Add 1 cup of broth, wine (1 cup), and soy sauce (1 tablespoon) and bring to a boil stirring to scrape up any brown bits on the bottom of the pot. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until liquid evaporates and vegetables begin to sizzle again, 12 to 15 minutes.

Melt butter (3 tablespoons) on top of vegetables. Sprinkle top with flour (1/3 cup)and stir to form a paste. Cook, stirring constantly for a minute, or until the paste begins to color a bit. Remove from heat and slowly whisk in the remaining 4 cups of broth until smooth.

Add Better Than Bouillon (2 tablespoons), tomato paste (2 tablespoons), bay leaves (2), and thyme (1/2 teaspoon), stirring to dissolve Better Than Bouillon. Add russet potatoes (2), carrots (4), and the browned chicken and bacon. Bring to a boil then immediately reduce heat and simmer, uncovered until vegetables are tender and chicken is cooked through about 20-30 minutes.

Remove from heat and add peas (1 cup), cover and allow to stand for 5 minutes to heat. Adjust seasonings and remove bay leaves. Stir in parsley (1/4 cup) and serve.

Let the tomatoes cook until hot, stirring occasionally.

Add the flour to the broth, and whisk vigorously until the two are completely incorporated and the mixture&#039;s smooth.

Pour in the flour/broth mixture, whisking constantly until it&#039;s incorporated completely. Don&#039;t skip this step! You don&#039;t want any lumps or odd bits of mini dumplings in your tomato gravy.

Stir in the bacon grease, and bring the tomato gravy to a full boil. Once it&#039;s reached a boil, immediately reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes- or until the gravy&#039;s thickened.

Season with the salt and pepper, taste and adjust if needed.

Serve the gravy hot, ladled over fresh biscuits.

Start by halving the yellow squash lengthwise and then cutting it into 2-inch pieces. Steam them until tender, about 12–15 minutes.

Once steamed, mash the squash with a fork until smooth.

In a large bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
