Recipe video above. My family recipe for the ultimate Sticky Chinese Wings, perfected over years with many heated debates! Many of the ingredients can be substituted and you&#x27;ll still get a similar flavour - refer to the notes. Spiciness: A hint of spicy from the chilli sauce, can be omitted.

Sticky Chinese Chicken Wings

chicken

tsp sesame oil (, toasted)

lemon juice

Chinese cooking wine ((Shaoxing wine, sub Mirin, dry sherry))

soy sauce (, light or all purpose)

tbsp brown sugar

hoisin sauce

tbsp oyster sauce

ketchup (or Aussie tomato sauce)

tbsp chilli garlic sauce

garlic (, minced)

tbsp ginger (, finely grated)

tsp five spice powder

shallots/scallions

Sesame seeds

Coriander/cilantro leaves

chili

Mix Marinade ingredients.

Place wings in large bowl, pour over Marinade and toss well. Set aside for 10 minutes - do not marinate for longer than 1 hour. (Note 3)

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F.

Line baking tray with foil then greaseproof paper (you&#x27;ll thank me later).

Shake excess marinade off wings (but reserve the marinade) and spread on baking tray - can be fairly snug but not super squished (use 2 trays if needed).

Bake 45 - 50 minutes, basting with a brush at 25 minutes and 35 minutes, using the reserved marinade and juieces on the tray.

The meat should be able to be pulled off the bones quite easily, they should be just starting to char on the edges and a sticky, dark red/golden colour all over.

Sprinkle with garnishes - coriander/cilantro leaves, sesame seeds, chilli, sliced shallots/scallions - then serve!

These honey and sriracha sticky chicken wings are oven baked and loaded with flavor. These Asian inspired wings are oven baked and easy to make with simple ingredients. Marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce, these wings are perfect for game day entertaining.

Sticky Chicken Wings with Honey and Sriracha

chicken wings ((900 grams))

garlic

ginger (chopped)

soy sauce

apple cider vinegar

sriracha

honey

cornstarch ((cornflour in the UK))

water

sesame seeds

green onion

In a large bowl or ziplock bag, place the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sriracha and honey and mix well.

Add the chicken wings to the marinade and coat them with the marinade. Cover the wings and place in the fridge for 10 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 390ºf / 200ºc.

Place a large cooking rack on top of a large rimmed baking tray.

Once the wings are ready, place the wings on the rack, leaving space between each one and place in the pre heated oven for 40 minutes. Transfer the marinade into a small sauce pot.

After 20 minutes, flip the wings over so they cook evenly.

Mix together the cornstarch and water in a small bowl.

5 minutes before the wings are ready, put the marinade on a high heat and bring to the boil. As it is boiling, add the cornstarch and water mix to the sauce and stir until it has thickened.

Take the wings out of the oven and baste them with the thickened sauce.

Transfer the wings to a plate, sprinkle over sesame seeds and sliced green onion and serve.

This is by far one of the best way of preparing chicken wings. The spicy sweet sticky sauce is simply amazing and hard to resist. You can always adjust the seasoning, use more or less spiciness depending if you serve this for kids or not. You can serve them as an appetizer alongside a ranch dipping sauce or as a main dish alongside some good fresh salad, potato salad or coleslaw. Enjoy!

Oven BBQ Chicken Wings

tbsp (30 milliliters) oil

tsp (3 grams) salt

garlic powder

tsp (3 grams) smoked paprika

tsp (2 grams) black pepper

(240 grams) barbecue sauce

(80 grams) honey

tbsp (30 grams) ketchup or hot sauce (sriracha)

Preheat oven to 425F (220C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place an oven rack on top.

Place the chicken wings into a large bowl, add oil and toss to coat. In a small bowl combine salt with garlic powder, smoked paprika and black pepper. Add the mixture over the chicken wings and toss to coat evenly.

Arrange the seasoned chicken wings on the rack in one layer.

Bake for 40-45 minutes depending on their size, flipping once after the first 20 minutes.

While the wings are baking prepare the sauce.

Place the barbecue sauce with honey and hot sauce (your choice) into a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat for 2-3 minutes.

Remove the wings form the oven and brush with barbecue sauce.

Bake for 10-15 minutes until glaze is glossy and caramelized.

Garnish with green onion and serve with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy.

These finger lickin&#039; Ninja Foodi Chicken Wings with Sweet and Sticky Sauce are so dang tasty! I cooked the chicken wings in a pressure cooker until tender and crispy, then coated them in a honey garlic sauce made from scratch. 

Ninja Foodi Chicken Wings with Sweet and Sticky Sauce

chicken wings ((drumettes and flats, pat them dry with paper towels).)

tsp ground paprika

tsp kosher salt

cayenne pepper

½ tsp black pepper

brown sugar

tbsp honey

tbsp minced garlic

tbsp minced ginger

butter

In a large bowl, add chicken and dry rub. Toss to coat.

Add 1 cup of water and put a basket into the pot. Arrange chicken wings in a basket. Secure the lid, cook on Manual at High Pressure for 5 minutes. Once the cooking cycle is completed, let the pressure release naturally.

Bring the sweet and sticky sauce ingredients to a boil over medium heat. Lower the heat then simmer for 3-4 minutes or until thickened. Reserve about 2 tbsp of sweet and sticky sauce for serving.

In a large bowl, add chicken wings, melted butter, and the remaining sweet and sticky sauce. Toss to coat.Select the AIR CRISP, 390°F, and set time to 15 minutes. Open every 3-5 minutes to check for the crispness of your desire.

Serve the chicken wings with the reserved sweet and sticky sauce.

Miso caramel chicken wings

vegetable oil

tbsp white miso

chicken wings

golden caster sugar

lime

Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Mix the oil with 2 tbsp miso, toss the chicken wings in the mixture to coat, season well and spread out on a large baking tray. Put in the oven for 45 mins.

Put the sugar in a pan with 2 tbsp of water and gently dissolve the sugar. When it’s no longer grainy, turn up the temperature, keeping an eye on it, and boil until it’s an amber caramel. Take off the heat and carefully stir in the remaining miso, the butter and lime juice. Set aside.

Pour the caramel over the chicken wings, coating all of them. Sprinkle over the sesame seeds, then return to the oven for 5 mins.

Honey Garlic Chicken Wings

1000 g Chicken wings (2.2 pounds) (Chopped in half)

tbsp Plain Flour

Salt & Pepper (to taste)

Spray oil

tbsp Honey (Light coloured clear runny honey is best.)

tbsp Soy Sauce

tsp Garlic Puree (or 4 crushed garlic cloves)

tsp Chilli Puree (or 1 very finely chopped red chilli)

¼ tsp Ground Ginger (or 1 tsp fresh grated ginger)

tsp cornflour (mix with 1 tbsp warm water)

Spring onions (sliced)

Preheat the oven to 210°C fan / 230°C / 450°F/ Gas mark 8.Chop the chicken wings into wingettes and drumettes (see blog post for how to)

Pat the wings dry with kitchen paper towel

Coat

In a large bowl, mix together the chicken wings, flour, salt and pepper.

Parchment

Place the flour-coated chicken on top of parchment paper, on a baking sheet or tray

Spray

Spray with oil, cook in the oven for 20 mins until nice and crispy.Whilst the wings are cooking in the oven, make the marinade.

Ingredients

Add the soy sauce, garlic, chilli, ginger and honey to a saucepan.

Boil

Cornflour

Mix cornflour with warm water, stir, making sure there are no lumps. Add into the marinade and stir for one minute.

Thicken

Turn the heat off, the sauce should thicken more as it cools, if not add more cornflour (mix with water first to prevent lumps), until at your desired thickness. If you want you can remove some sauce now, to use as a drizzle when serving.

Glaze

Once the wings have had 20 mins in the oven, remove and place into the saucepan to fully glaze wings in the sauce.

Oven

Place back on the lined baking tray and return to the oven for a further 8-10 minutes.

Remove

Remove the cooked sticky chicken wings from the oven.

Serve

Add chopped spring onions and sesame seeds and drizzle with the sauce you saved from earlier.
