Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ white cake mix

box (4-serving size) Jell-O™ strawberry-flavored gelatin

Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. In large bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil and egg whites with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into pan.

Bake 28 to 32 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on cooling rack 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, in medium bowl, pour boiling water on gelatin; stir until gelatin is dissolved. Poke cake every inch with handle of wooden spoon or tines of meat fork halfway into cake. Carefully pour strawberry gelatin evenly over top of cake. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

Spread frosting over top of cake. Drizzle red decorating gel over frosting. Cut into 4 rows by 3 rows. Garnish each piece of cake with strawberries.

15.25 oz boxed white cake mix

oz strawberry Jell-O

oz whipped topping

To start, bake the cake as directed on the back of the box. Follow the directions for a 9x13 pan.

If you want to make boxed cake mix taste a little better, swap out milk for the water and add an additional egg -or egg white in this case!

After the cake has cooked, let it cool for 20 minutes. Then “poke” the cake with a large fork. I space my pokes about 1/2″ apart, covering the entire surface of the cake.

Cake baking

First, in a medium saucepan boil ¾ cup of water.

Once it boils, in a mixing bowl combine the boiling water and the Jell-O mix and stir until the Jell-O is completely dissolved.

Then, pour in ½ cup cold water and continue to stir, then pour over the cake.

Lastly, cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about three hours.

Jell-O time

In a medium size bowl, combine the Cool-Whip and frosting together, stirring gently.

Add in almond extract and mix until fully combined.

Spread the mixture on top of cake gently, be careful not to tear the cake.

Next, wash, core and slice/dice the fresh strawberries. You can even use a fancy strawberry slicer if you&#39;d like! Layer them on top of the cream when ready to serve. Store cake in fridge.

Before serving, spread the thawed cool whip over the top and top with sliced strawberries.

Incredibly light and super refreshing, Strawberry Poke Cake is a moist vanilla cake that’s oozing with delicious white chocolate and strawberry filling in every bite.

Strawberries Poke Cake (strawberries and cream)

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13 baking pan with Baker’s Joy or a generic baking spray. Set it aside.

Using a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the boxed cake mix, water, vegetable oil and egg whites until completely combined.

Evenly pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 28 - 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven. Using either a fork or the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes in the warm cake, spacing 1 inch apart. Allow the cake to completely cool.

Cake

Using a medium-size heat-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave for 40 seconds. Stir the mixture until the chips are melted and smooth.

Using a small heat-safe bowl, combine the boiling water and the strawberry flavored gelatin. Stir until all the sugar in the gelatin is dissolved.

Pour the gelatin over the white chocolate mixture. Stir until completely combined.

Evenly pour the white chocolate mixture over the cake, smoothing with a silicone spatula.

Allow the cake to chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Remove the cake from the refrigerator and spread the strawberry pie filling over the top of the white chocolate topping. Tightly cover and chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours to overnight.

Strawberry Filling

Remove the cake from the refrigerator, evenly spread the whipped topping over the cake.

Lay the sliced strawberries on top of the whipped topping. Slice the cake in 2x2 slices.

Prepare the cake according to a package directions and bake in 9 x 13-inches dish. When the cake is baked remove from the oven. Using a handle of a wooden spoon, poke the holes about 1 inch apart. Set aside to cool.

In two small bowls dissolve 2 teaspoons gelatin in 2 Tablespoons water, in each and set aside to bloom.

To make the red sauce in a medium sauce pan, combine about 1 cup of strawberries and 1 cup of raspberries, sugar, lemon juice and 1 Tablespoon of water. Bring to a simmer and cook until the fruits soften, stirring frequently, about 5-8 minutes. Than using a potato masher mesh the berries, add dissolved gelatin and remaining diced strawberries and raspberries and stir over medium heat until gelatin melts completely. Set aside to cool.

To make the blueberry sauce in a medium sauce pan, combine about 1 ½ cups of blueberries, sugar, lemon juice and 1 Tablespoon of water. Bring to a simmer and cook until the berries soften stirring frequently. Than using a potato masher mesh the berries, add dissolved gelatin and remaining blueberries and stir over medium heat until gelatin melts completely. Set aside to cool. 

When the sauces are cooled and slightly thicken using a spoon spread them over the cake. You should fill the holes alternately with red and blue sauce. Using the back of the spoon, try to get as much sauce as possible in the holes, and spread remaining on top. Place the cake in the fridge, to set the sauce completely.

To make the topping beat softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup powdered sugar, then set aside.

Beat heavy whipping cream, vanilla and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until firm peaks form. You will get about 4 cups of whipped cream. Divide in half.

Add 2 cups of beaten heavy cream in the cream cheese mixture and mix until combine. Scrape down with the spatula to incorporate everything well, then spread over the cake. 

Remaining 2 cups of whipped cream transfer in a piping bag with a star tip and make the swirls on top, or simply spread with a spoon over the cream cheese mixture. Store in the fridge.

Garnish with fresh berries before serving.

Grease and sprinkle with flour a 9-x-13 inch cake pan.

Prepare white cake mix according to box instructions. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes and using the bottom of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake, 1 inch apart.

Prepare White Cake:

In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Heat in the microwave until hot for about 1 minute, stir and heat for 30 seconds or more if needed. Stir until fully combined, smooth, and shiny.

Stir in the strawberry gelatin and mix into the warm water. Make sure it dissolves, otherwise it will be gritty. Stir the strawberry mixture into the condensed milk mixture until fully combined and smooth.

Pour the strawberry chocolate mixture all over the cake and using a spatula spread it evenly into the holes.

Let the cake cool completely and refrigerate for about one hour.

Strawberry White Chocolate Mixture:

Top the cake with the strawberry pie filling if using.

Other layers:

In a large bowl, beat heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

Using a spoon, scoop the whipped cream all over the cake and spread it with a spatula.

I have made this twice now and both times word  spread quickly that it had to be tried. Nothing was left either time as a matter of fact there was almost a fight over the last piece the first time. Looks good!  I love Strawberry Jello Cake, and this is a version I haven't seen before.  Question - the recipe says to mix the jello with warm water and then stir into chocolate condensed milk mixture -- but the video show you pouring the jello directly into the mixture, without the water -- which is correct?

I want to use heavily whipping cream for the topping, but am concerned that it will not set up well if put it on 8 hours ahead of time as you suggest. I have used it before on top of banana pudding and it became runny by the time I served it. When I mixed it it formed stiff peaks, but did not stay set by the next day after refrigerating it overnight. Any suggestions?

I know this is way to late but for others that read this I have done it either way the overnight in the fridge and the freezer for a couple of hours. the freezer does work you just have to let it sit out for 20-30 mins so it isn't frozen when you try to serve it. but even if you don't have time the cake still works fine without it going in the fridge it just helps tighten up everything just make sure you stick it somewhere cold before you serve

I made this cake twice last year for my husband as he loves strawberries whipped cream then I made it for our desert after Thanksgiving dinner for the whole family needless to say everyone loved it and it was gone in 4 days when I made it for my husband and we ate the whole thing at Thanksgiving. I had one problem though, trying to get all the Jell-O with the hot water mixture to stay thin enough to pour out the way it should have all over the cake so next time I think I will add just a touch more hot water to the Jell-O

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Prepare the cake according to package directions.

Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Evenly spread batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely.

Poke holes in the top of the cake using a wooden skewer or the back of a wooden spoon.

In a small bowl, combine jello and boiling water. Stir until dissolved.

Then stir in cold water.

Evenly pour over cake.Refrigerate for 1 hour.

In a large bowl, whisk mil and pudding mix until smooth. Fold in strawberries.

Pour pudding evenly over cake. Refrigerate for ~1 hour.

Top with Cool Whip. Garnish with additional strawberries if desired.

Store in the refrigerator.

I make Mandarin orange poke cake using orange Jello and the juice from the mandarin oranges as part of the liquid when preparing the Jello.. Top with chilled Mandarin orange slices!!
