Graham Cracker Toffee Bars

Hershey's chocolate bars ((I use two large 7 oz bars))

butter (2 sticks)

brown sugar

pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 

Line a 9x13'' pan with parchment paper (or spray with cooking spray.)&nbsp;

Place graham cracker sheets along the bottom of the pan.

Add butter to a large saucepan over medium heat and allow it to melt. Add the brown sugar and pecans, and stir constantly, bringing the mixture to a full boil.&nbsp;

Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.&nbsp;

Remove from heat and pour mixture over graham crackers and spread into an even layer.&nbsp;

Bake for 7 minutes.&nbsp;

While the bars are baking, unwrap the Hershey's chocolate bars and break them into pieces.&nbsp;

Remove bars from oven and carefully place chocolate pieces across the top of the toffee layer. Cover the pan with a lid or aluminum foil to allow the chocolate to melt (5-10 minutes).

Once chocolate has begun to melt, remove the lid and use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate evenly over the bars.&nbsp;

Allow to cool completely before serving. I like to store mine in the fridge to set up (not required) but I leave them out at room temperature for 15 minutes before cutting them, to allow the chocolate to soften.

Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, mix butter, brown sugar, vanilla and egg yolk. Stir in flour and salt. Press in ungreased rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.

Bake bars 25 to 30 minutes or until very light brown (crust will be soft). Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on hot crust. Let stand about 5 minutes or until chocolate is soft; spread evenly. Sprinkle with nuts.

Cool bars 30 minutes in pan on wire rack. For bars, cut into 8 rows by 4 rows.

Place pecans in a small baking pan in a 350 degree oven. Cook for 5 minutes or until nuts are toasted.

To toast pecans:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Place the crackers in a single layer in a small baking pan.

Cook brown sugar and butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat until butter is completely melted and mixture comes to a rapid boil.

Pour over crackers and spread out with a wooden spoon or brush making sure to cover all the way to the edges of the crackers.

Bake 5 minutes or until topping is golden brown.

Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Turn the oven off and place the pan back in the hot oven for 1 minute to soften the chocolate chips.

Remove from oven and spread chocolate evenly over the crackers.

Sprinkle with nuts.

Allow the mixture to cool completely until the chocolate has re-solidified. Break into pieces.

300 mL Sweetened condensed milk (equal to 1 can)

300 g Skor toffee bits (equal

Start by crushing the Ritz crackers into a bowl using your hands. Crush well to ensure pieces are small, but don&#39;t crush them all into a powder.

Add the condensed milk and the 200g of the Skor toffee bits (equal to 1 package) and mix very well to ensure everything is well coated

Line an 8&quot; square baking dish with parchment paper and pour the mixture in. Press down firmly to pack it in evenly around all the edges

Bake at 350F for approximately 20-30 minutes until the toffee bits have melted and colour is golden.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. The chocolate should melt (if it doesn&#39;t, pop it into the oven for 1 minute and take it back out). Smooth it out into a layer using a spoon

Sprinkle the rest of the skor bits on top and allow it to cool completely for 30 minutes. Cut into square pieces.

Old-fashioned toffee bars have a buttery shortbread crust and a dreamy chocolate topping. They're an easy and tasty treat for any occasion.

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
