Nothing more comforting than a big heart bowl of grandma&#x27;s noodle soup, this version with turkey.

Slow Cooker Grandma's Turkey Noodle Soup

turkey stock broth

turkey (cooked leftovers; shredded or diced)

carrots (sliced)

celery (sliced)

onion

bay leaves

thyme

pepper

fettuccine noodles (broken up, cooked separately)

salt (to taste)

Add the stock or broth, turkey, carrots, celery, onion, bay leaves, thyme, and pepper to the slow cooker.

Cover, and cook on low for 8 hours.

After the 8 hours are up, cook the noodles for about 1-2 minutes shy of package directions in salted boiling water on the stove top.

Once the noodles are cooked, drain.

Add the noodles to the slow cooker with the soup, and continue to cook on HIGH for about an 1½ hours more, this will soften the noodles to perfection, and make the soup thicker.

Serve and enjoy.

Homemade Turkey Soup

olive oil

onion (diced)

flour

carrots

celery

turkey (diced)

turkey broth (homemade

poultry seasoning

bay leaf

salt and pepper (to taste)

shell noodles (about 1 ½ cups)

parsley (optional)

Cook onion in olive oil until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Add flour and cook 1 minute.

Stir in carrots, celery, turkey, broth, poultry seasoning, bay leaf and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 10 minutes.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Add noodles and cook 8-10 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat, discard bay leaf and stir in parsley.

Season to taste and serve.

chicken broth (low sodium)

petite diced tomatoes (14 ½ ounces)

dry rotini noodles

Cook onion, celery, carrots and garlic  in olive oil and butter over medium heat about 5 minutes or until softened.

Stir in flour and seasonings. Cook 2 minutes.

Add broth, tomatoes and turkey.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 35-40 minutes.

Remove cover and stir in rotini.  Cook 15-20 minutes or until pasta is tender.

A great way to use up leftover thanksgiving turkey, this easy Turkey Noodle Soup is comforting and classic.

In a large stock pot, heat the olive oil over med-high heat. Add the onions and cook until softened. Add the squash and celery and continue to cook until soft. Stir in the garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the cooked turkey to the pot and stir to combine. Add the turkey stock, herbs, salt and pepper and allow the mixture to come to a boil. Turn down the heat to low and add the noodles Simmer for 10 minutes or until the noodles are al dente.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve immediately or transfer to airtight containers and freeze for up to 3 months.

In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add onion, carrots, and celery and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in broth, turkey, thyme, and bay leaf. Bring to simmer and cook until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes.

Stir in noodles and cook until tender, about 5 minutes longer. Remove from heat, season to taste with salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh parsley.

This hearty Turkey Noodle Soup recipe is warm, comforting, and so simple to make. It&#39;s the perfect lunch or dinner on a cold day. Our turkey soup recipe is an easy, but tasty, way to use up leftover turkey from your holiday dinners.

Turkey Noodle Soup Recipe

Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

carrots (thinly

celery (finely diced)

small/medium onion (finely diced)

turkey stock (or chicken

potatoes

Tbsp parsley

tsp fine sea salt (plus more to taste)

tsp black pepper

egg noodle pasta

garlic (pressed

Set a large soup pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat and add 2 Tbsp olive oil. Once oil is hot, add onions, carrots, and celery and sauté until softened and golden, stirring frequently, about 5-7 minutes. 

Add broth, water, potatoes, bay leaf, 1 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Bring to a boil and continue cooking at a medium boil for 10 minutes. 

Add pasta and turkey and cook for 5 minutes or until pasta and potatoes are tender. The saltiness of the turkey meat and stock will determine how much salt to add so season with more salt and pepper to taste.

Press in 1 garlic clove and stir in parsley then immediately remove from heat. 

Discard the bay leaves and serve garnished with more parsley if desired.

I plan to put in in the slow cooker overnight.  When it is done, do I drain the broth, then add more vegetables???

What’s the best thing to do with leftover turkey and a crockpot? This soup of course! I doubled the celery and carrots and used Vegetable stock. Delicious!:)

Excellent recipe as is. My 3 grandkids love it. They enjoy the soup more than the Thanksgiving Day meal. The grandkids asked for more veggies in the soup. So I double up on the carrots &amp; celery. On occasions they also have asked to add green peas or green beans or some other veggie. I look at it this way. Any recipe that has young kids asking to eat veggies-add the veggies. Job well done.
