Ground Turkey Pasta Bake is a healthy casserole made with ground turkey meat, whole wheat pasta, kale, and a light sprinkling of bubbly melty cheese. This is an easy restaurant-quality dinner made with kitchen staples!

Ground Turkey Pasta Bake (Healthy Casserole)

lb ground turkey (extra lean)

(10 oz) whole wheat penne/fusilli pasta (uncooked)

kale

onion

garlic

olive oil

oregano

tsp rosemary (dried)

tsp basil (dried)

red pepper flakes

tsp salt

black pepper

tomato sauce (low sodium)

honey

tbsp balsamic vinegar

pasta water

mozzarella cheese (shredded & divided)

Italian parsley (chopped)

Cooking spray (I use Misto)

Cook pasta al dente as per package instructions, undercooking by 4 minutes. Drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water, and set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray.

In the meanwhile, preheat large skillet on medium heat and add olive oil. Add onion and garlic, sauté for 2 - 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add oregano, rosemary, basil, pinch of red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Cook for 30 seconds, stirring a few times. Add ground turkey and cook for another 5-7 minutes, breaking meat into pieces and stirring occasionally.

Add tomato sauce, honey, balsamic vinegar and pasta water. Stir, bring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Add kale and stir to combine.

Now add cooked pasta and stir to combine more.

Transfer half of the mixture in previously prepared baking dish and sprinkle with 1 cup cheese. Add remaining pasta meat mixture and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove from the oven, let stand for 10 minutes, garnish with parsley and serve hot. With a glass of red wine. OMG, so good!

This turkey pasta carbonara is turkey, peas and bacon, all tossed with spaghetti in a creamy parmesan sauce. A quick and easy dinner option that's the perfect way to use up your holiday leftovers!

Turkey Pasta Carbonara

spaghetti

bacon (chopped)

onion (minced)

garlic (minced)

carton McCormick Simply Better Turkey Gravy

heavy cream

parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)

salt

McCormick Ground Black Pepper

peas (thawed from frozen)

turkey (diced)

parsley

Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package directions.

Place the bacon in a large pan over medium high heat. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until browned and crisp.&nbsp;

Remove the bacon from the pan with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Add the onion to the remaining bacon fat in the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until softened. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Add McCormick Simply Better Turkey Gravy and the cream to the pan. Bring to a simmer.

Cook for 2-3 minutes or until just thickened. Stir in the parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.

Drain the pasta. Add the pasta to the gravy sauce along with the turkey, peas and bacon. Toss to combine.

Sprinkle with parsley, then serve. Top with additional parmesan cheese if desired.

Heat the oil in a large lidded pot...

Heat the oil in a large lidded pot over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook, using a spoon to break it into small pieces.

Once the turkey is just cooked through, add the onion. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, until softened. Add the garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning and paprika. Cook for another 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.

Stir in the heavy cream and chicken stock. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and add the pasta. Cover the pot and cook for 8-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is cooked al-dente and almost all the liquid is absorbed. Add more chicken stock if needed.

140 g Spaghetti

Garlic (crushed)

175 g Leek (sliced)

75 g Mushrooms (sliced)

150 g Leftover turkey (shredded)

ml Creme fraiche

tbsp Wholegrain mustard

g Parmesan (grated)

ml Pasta water

Sea salt and black pepper

60 g Spinach

Cook 140 g Spaghetti according to the packet instructions, usually 10-12 minutes.

Heat 1 tbsp Olive oil in a large pan and cook 175 g Leek, 75 g Mushrooms and 2 Garlic cloves until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add 150 g Leftover turkey and 40 g Parmesan.

Add 60 g Spinach, 50 ml Pasta water, 100 ml Creme fraiche, 1 tbsp Wholegrain mustard and 2 pinch Sea salt and black pepper. Continue heating, stirring regularly, until the spinach has wilted, about 2-3 minutes.

Once cooked, serve the topping on top of the drained pasta.

oz box of Banza Penne Pasta (cooked (8 oz dry

bell pepper (diced)

spinach

can diced tomatoes and green chiles

parmesan cheese

tsp chili powder

tsp cumin

½ tsp pepper

¼ tsp crushed red pepper

Place a pot of salted water over medium-high heat and bring water to boil. Cook pasta according to the package. Strain and set aside when finished cooking.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil to cover the skillet. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook for about 5 mins, stirring occasionally.

Add turkey meat and seasonings (salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, red pepper). Cook for another 7 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the excess grease from the skillet.

Turn the heat to low and add the canned tomatoes to the pot. Stir and cook for another 2 minutes.

Stir in the cooked pasta noodles and spinach.Let sit for another minute or two until the spinach wilts.

Top with parmesan cheese and enjoy!

To portion, divide into 6ths; for a more exact portion measurement, divide total food weight (not including dish) by 6.

Absolutely favorite meal, it is now our weekly meal prep meal. Great with pasta or we add cauliflower rice. Great seasonings and spinach give a nice touch!!

This is one of my favorite recipes!!! Let’s be honest, I either meal prep these recipes for work or eat them for dinner with the hubby! I actually made your Buffalo chicken pasta for my 12 hours day shifts as an RN, and I came home tonight and while I was working out my hubby made this turkey pasta primavera!! It’s so dang easy but yet tastes like a gourmet meal :) 

We’ll be making this forever! The spice is perfect if you like a spicy dish, but not overwhelming heat. Ugh, so good and SO much protein!!! Cannot recommend this dish more!

I made this for lunch today, I only had hot diced tomatoes and green chiles so I omitted the red pepper flakes. Also I added a dash of cream because I thought it would be a good addition. Very good!!

JORDO DOES IT AGAIN!!! I made this for dinner last night &amp; my husband (who’s not a huge pasta guy) loved it! It’s packed with veggies (added some extra spinach), and is perfectly seasoned, while still feeling light since there’s no sauce. So good! Can’t wait for leftovers!
