Chili Mac

beef

(16 ounces each) hot chili beans, undrained

green peppers, chopped

onion,

celery ribs, chopped

tomato sauce

chili seasoning mix

garlic cloves,

(7 ounces) elbow macaroni,

Salt and pepper

Shredded pepper jack cheese jalapeno pepper

I just used regular kidney beans in this 'cause I don't like things too spicy. But for aimee1963, I believe Heinz makes hot chili beans.

This was a "hit" with my family of 8.  We didn't have green peppers nor the hot chili beans.  I used two cans of hot chili and omitted the chili seasoning.  As it looked very thick I added a can of beef broth.  It turned out excellent.

This is a wonderful, filling meal. Smells wonderful while cooking!

My family loved this recipe and said I should make it often. I didn't cook it in the crockpot because I didn't get it in there in time. It turned out great.

Definitely a winner in my house! I substituted kidney beans for the hot chili beans since I have small children, but it was really good! A little cheese on top and it's a meal!

My family loves this easy supper. We dont like it too hot so I put red kidney beans in it. Also, I put diced tomatoes with chilies in it. I use wheat noodles instead of white to make it a little healthier. Serve with cheddar cheese, sour cream and maybe a sandwich! Great way to warm up on a cold day!

This was so easy to put together and I loved how it cooks in the slow cooker. I ate mine with a big of hot sauce dashed in it.

I used kidney beans instead of chili beans, and condensed tomato soup instead of the tomato sauce. It turned out great for us too!

Made a double batch, added some extra chili powder, and red pepper flakes for a kick. It came out great! Keeping this as a go to recipe for sure! Next time I might add a can of Rotel tomatoes with jalapenos as well.For people looking for the hot beans, check near the baked beans. Target sells a medium chili bean that I bought, which is why I added red pepper flakes.

It was OK.  I added extra seasoning, but still needed a lot more.  It was a little bland.

I was disappointed with this recipe. I found it bland and felt it "needed something."

We had this delicious recipe tonight. I followed the recipe with two changes. I omitted the celery and added a can of Rotel tomatoes. It did not need 6 hours of cooking so we ate about an hour after I started the recipe. Delicious and perfect for cool Fall days. Volunteer Field Editor

Great family food. I really enjoyed topping it with the sliced jalapeno and pepper jack cheese along with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of corn chips.

Wonderful comfort food recipe thats easy to make. We're Texans so we added a little more jalapenos, cheese and sour cream as suggested and otherwise followed recipe as written. Will continue to make this chili, its great for a crowd!
