Step 1

In a large bowl, add the eggs, heavy cream, brown sugar and cinnamon; then whisk until smooth.

Step 2

Cut the bread into bite sized pieces; then place in a mixing bowl and toss to coat all of the bread with the egg mixture.

Step 3

Add the melted butter to the bottom of the baking dish and swirl to coat the bottom and sides.

Step 4

Add the bread mixture to the baking dish; then place in the refrigerator up to 4 hours but preferably overnight.

Step 5

When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F while you bring the casserole to room temperature.

Step 6

Bake in the oven for approximately 45 minutes or until there is no liquid in the dish and the casserole is firm and puffed up.

Step 7

Drizzle with maple syrup or confectioners sugar as desired and serve immediately.
