Step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, and honey. Whisk until the honey is fully dissolved.
Step 2
Place the salmon fillets on a platter and generously brush them with the marinade. Make sure to coat both sides thoroughly.
Step 3
Cover the platter with plastic wrap and let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. For an extra flavor punch, let it marinate overnight.
Step 4
Preheat your grill to a medium-high heat, aiming for around 375°F (190°C).
Step 5
While the grill is heating up, sprinkle salt and black pepper on both sides of the marinated salmon fillets.
Step 6
Once the grill is ready, place the salmon fillets directly on the grates. Grill each side for approximately 4-5 minutes, or until you achieve that perfect honey-glazed crust.
Step 7
Use tongs to carefully flip the fillets. Don't rush – let that glorious glaze develop.
Step 8
As the salmon sizzles to perfection, admire the transformation – the honey will work its magic, creating a caramelized exterior while keeping the insides moist and tender.
Step 9
Gently remove the honey glazed salmon from the grill and transfer it to a serving platter.
Step 10
Sprinkle chopped green onions or cilantro on top for a burst of freshness and color.
