Step 1
Preheat the oven at 400°F.
Step 2
Remove thawed steak from packaging and place it onto a cutting board.
Step 3
Rub steak with oil and season with salt & pepper.
Step 4
Heat oil in a pan set over medium-high heat.
Step 5
Sear steak for about 3 to 5 minutes per side.
Step 6
Transfer steak to a baking sheet.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack, about 10 to 15 minutes per pound.
Step 8
Remove from oven when internal temperature reaches 135°F
Step 9
Cover with foil and rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Step 10
