Step 1

Take dried red chillies and coriander seeds in pan and roast them for 5 min on medium flame.Let the mixture cool down.

Step 2

Grind the mixture to make it fine powder. Keep it aside

Take 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add 1/2 diced capsicum and 1 diced onion in it and fry for some time till the onion become a little brown. Do not overcook.Keep it aside.

Step 4

Take 2 tsp oil in a pan. Add 1 tsp finely chopped ginger and 1 green chilly, 1 finely chopped onion and fry till the onions turn golden brown.

Step 5

And 2 tomatoes to it. Cook till the tomatoes become soft and mushy. Add 1 tsp salt , 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp garam masala powder and 1 tsp turmeric powder.

Step 6

Also add the masala we had prepared in the first step. Fry the mixture for a few minutes.

Step 7

Add 100 ml water to the mixture and cook. Then add about 200 gms of paneer(cottage cheese) and 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves to it. Cook till the dish comes to boil.

Step 8

Your kadhai paneer is ready. Serve Hot.
