Step 1
In a Dutch oven or heavy bottomed pot, heat oil on medium heat. Add onion and cook for 4 minutes. Add garlic and shrimp and cook another minute.
Step 2
Stir in seasonings, beer and lemon juice. Mix well then bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook uncovered 15 minutes. Stir in ketchup, hot sauce and parsley. Serve with rice or French fries.
