Step 1

Prep the Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker or use a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup.

Step 2

Add Ingredients: Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. Add the diced tomatoes, green chilies, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Pour the chicken broth over the top.

Step 3

Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Step 4

Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker. Stir to combine with the juices and seasonings.

Step 5

Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro and lime wedges. Serve the chicken in tacos, burritos, over rice, or as a salad topping.
