Step 1
Pat the steaks dry, and season evenly with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
Step 2
Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a cast-iron or large skillet. Add the steaks to the pan, and cook for 4 minutes on each side. This will yield a medium-rare steak.
Step 3
While the steaks are cooking, combine the butter, minced garlic, basil, and oregano in a small bowl, and mix well.
Step 4
Put the mixture in the refrigerator for 5 minutes.
Step 5
When the steaks are done, remove them from the pan, and place them on a platter to rest.
Step 6
Top each steak with half of the herb butter mixture apiece. Serve, and enjoy!
