Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Step 2

Place the butter, golden syrup and water in the mixing bowl. Melt 4 Min. / 90°C / Speed 1.

Step 3

Add the oats, desiccate coconut, plain flour, caster sugar and bicarbonate of soda and mix 20 Sec. / Speed 6.

Step 4

If you don't have a Thermomix, place the butter, golden syrup and water in a saucepan and melt until almost bubbly. Add the desiccated coconut, plain flour, caster sugar and bicarbonate of soda and mix in a medium mixing bowl, using an electric whisk, until smooth.

Step 5

Place tablespoons of the mixture on a baking tray and slightly press down with the back of a spoon.

Step 6

Bake in the oven for 10 minutes Enjoy or use for the base of a tart later on!
