This simple recipe for Sugar Free Instant Pot Applesauce can be made in a pressure cooker. It has no added sugar and is vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free.

Sugar Free Instant Pot Applesauce

Apples (- see post for details)

Prepare your apples by peeling them, removing the core, and then chopping them into chunks. You can make this process easier by using an apple peeler as well as an apple corer slicer to do this. Then place the apples into the cooker.

Pour the water over the apples. Then you can lock the lid and set the valve to seal

Set the cooker to manual and high pressure for five minutes. (It will take about 10 minutes to get to pressure). Allow the pressure to release for 20 minutes and then manually release the pressure that is remaining. You can taste the applesauce and add any seasonings or sugar alternatives as needed. Tip: if your applesauce is too chunky for your taste, simply use an immersion blender to puree it.

Zero Point Apple Sauce

The apples can be peeled or, if you prefer, they can be left unpeeled. Remove the cores and slice or chop into chunks.

Place the apples, water and cinnamon into the Instant Pot. Close the lid and cook on manual high pressure for 5 minutes. Use a natural release.&nbsp;

Carefully open the lid, add a pinch of salt and sweetener if required and stir to combine. The use of sweetener will depend enormously on the type of apples that you use.&nbsp;

If you like very smooth apple sauce, use an immersion hand blender to blend. Cool and serve.&nbsp;

Instant Pot method

Peel the apples (or leave the skins on if you prefer) and remove the cores. Slice or chop the apples. Place into a saucepan with the water and cinnamon. Cover and cook over a low heat for 10 - 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and mushy.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Remove from the heat and add a pinch of salt and sweetener if required. Use a fork or potato masher to smoosh the sauce to the required consistency. If you want really smooth apple sauce then you can use an immersion hand blender to blend.&nbsp;

Rinse, peel and chop the apples. Place them in a sauce pan or pan. I used 3 medium kinnaur apples. You can use any variety of apples.

Add water. The water should just about cover the apples.

Bring this mixture to a simmer on a low to medium flame. You can add sugar if you want. If the apples are very sweet, then you don't need to add sugar. If they are less sweet or not sweet, then add sugar as required.

You can also add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg at this step. Quantities are mentioned in the recipe details below.

Simmer till the apples are softened. Keep stirring occasionally when the apples are getting cooked. If the water dries out and the apples start sticking to the pan, then add more water.

Once the mixture becomes warm, you can either mash the apples or puree them in a blender. Mashing gives a slight chunky texture. Blending them will give a smooth texture.

The final color of the applesauce depends on the variety of apples used.

Pour applesauce in bottles or bowls. Once cooled refrigerate them.

Slow Cooker Applesauce

Add the apples to the slow cooker. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

Cook on low for about 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours, or until the apples are well broken down, stirring 2-3 times in between.

For a chunkier applesauce, serve as is. For a smoother version, use an immersion blender to puree or transfer to a blender or food processor. Add more sweetener or spices, to taste.

Store airtight in the fridge.

Instant Pot Method

One of the greatest things about fall, in my opinion, is the abundance of crisp, delicious apples that appear in the markets. The scent of an apple pie, crisp, or crumble baking in the oven is the true aroma of the season, and I will not be convinced otherwise. ;-)&nbsp;With minimal effort and just a few hours in the crockpot, you can make your own healthy and delicious applesauce that everyone is sure to enjoy.

CINNAMON APPLE SAUCE

Peel, core, and slice about 3 pounds of apples.

Once your apples are sliced, put them into a crockpot and add the cinnamon and lemon juice. Stir several times to ensure that all the slices are evenly coated.

Turn your slow cooker on high and let it cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally (3 or so times during cooking should suffice).

After 3 hours, you may or may not need to mash the apples up a bit, depending on what kind of apples you used.

This is an old-fashioned apple cake using applesauce, dates, walnuts, and warm spices. It&#039;s super easy to make and is good frosted or not.

Applesauce Walnut Spice Cake

all-purpose flour

brown sugar (or granulated sugar or coconut sugar)

baking soda

baking powder

cloves

allspice

applesauce

coconut oil (melted)

eggs (at room temperature)

walnuts (chopped)

dates (chopped)

Preheat your oven to 350°F.  Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray.

Add all the ingredients except the dates and nuts to the bowl of your electric mixer.

Mix on low speed for 1 minute then turn up to medium speed for 2 more minutes.

Stop the mixer and scrape the sides and bottom with a spatula. Add the dates and nuts and stir until combined.

Pour the cake batter into your prepared pan. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes or until done in the center. To test, use a wooden pick or cake tester. When there are no crumbs or dry crumbs on the pick after being inserted into the cake it&#39;s done.

Remove the cake from the oven and cool on a wire rack.

Pork and apple is a classic combination, use good quality cider to make this dish extra special.

Braeburn apple, peeled, core removed, chopped

Use your favourite cranberry sauce to make this beautiful and tasty cranberry sauce fruit leather. Puree and mix in some applesauce for a smooth fruit roll up that&#39;s not too tart. For added sweetness add 1-2 tablespoons honey as desired. The recipe can easily be reduced or doubled depending on how much sauce you have.

Combine cranberry sauce and applesauce in deep bowl and puree using an immersion blender or use a blender or food processor. Puree until smooth.

Add honey, if using. Taste test and add more honey if desired.

Spread onto lined dehydrator tray about 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick. Line tray with paraflexx sheet or parchment, not wax paper.

Place in dehydrator and dry at 135°F (57°C) for 8-10 hours.

Press leather with flat fingers, if there’s an indentation or any dark, wet spots, it’s not ready. If it comes off easily, it is done.  Watch how to tell if Fruit Leather is Dry on YouTube.

Let cool completely then roll and cut into strips. Store in sealed container for up to 1 month or in the freezer for longer.

Makes 3-4 cups puree, enough for two 8x6 inch sheets of leather or 16 rolls.

For oven dehydrating, line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Turn to 170° F (70°C). Dry for 6-8 hours. (see post for more details)

So light and fluffy, you would never guess they’re made without dairy,  eggs, or gluten. You probably have everything you need in your pantry to make them!

The Best Vegan Oatmeal Blender Pancakes

¾ cup non-dairy milk (see notes)

Starting with the wet ingredients first, layer everything into a blender then add the melted coconut oil last. Blend on high until oats are broken down and smooth, about 20 seconds. A high speed blender is ideal for smoothest results, but is not necessary.

Lightly grease a non-stick skillet and warm over medium-low heat. Pour the batter into the skillet and cook on each side, waiting until the edges are firm with small bubbles before flipping. Flip and cook opposite side until firm and golden brown. Serve warm with pure maple syrup and enjoy!

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (170 degrees C), and grease a loaf pan.

In a mixing bowl, beat the vegan margarine and sugar until the mixture is fluffy and pale.

Add the flour and bananas alternately, adding ½ cup flour and ¼ cup banana at a time, starting with the flour. Mix well after each addition.

15-Minute Apple Pie Oatmeal

tbsp chia seeds

almond milk

tsp ginger

tsp allspice

almond butter

almonds ((chopped))

In a saucepan combine the oats, chia and almond milk. Bring to simmer on high heat, then reduce to medium heat.

Add the apple sauce, maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, vanilla and salt. Mix to combine.

Cook the oatmeal until thickened, or until desired oatmeal consistency (about 5 minutes). Optional to add splashed more milk if desired to thin.

APPLE PIE OATMEAL

While the porridge is cooking, heat the coconut oil in a large skillet on medium heat, then add the apples, maple syrup and cinnamon. Stir and cook for about 2 minutes.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet and let the apples cook until the apples are tender, about 10 minutes.

Pour the oatmeal into bowls and top with the cinnamon apples, a dollop of coconut yogurt, almond butter and chopped almonds.
