Adjust the oven racks to accommodate a large roasting pan. Fit the pan with a shallow roasting rack. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Unwrap the ham and rinse it under cold water. Place it on the rack in the roasting pan. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour 40 minutes. Meanwhile, combine the brown sugar and honey in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and the sugar has dissolved.

Pour the brown sugar glaze over the ham and continue roasting1 hour 40 minutes more, basting at least twice with the drippings in the roaster. (To adjust the total roasting time for a smaller or larger ham, calculate 20 minutes per pound.) Check for doneness by inserting a meat thermometer into a meaty spot (not into fat or touching the bone)-it should register 160 degrees F.

Let the ham stand 15 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to set. (You can make the ham up to 2 hours ahead; tent with foil and serve at room temperature.)

Simple and delicious! I only had regular honey and it came out tasty. You can just pin cloves to the ham. I also used Pineapple rings on the ham and put some juice in the ham glaze. Yum!

Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Line a shallow roasting pan with foil.

Remove all packaging materials and place ham on its side, fat side up, on a rack in the prepared pan; cover loosely with aluminum foil. 

Heat approximately 15 to 20 minutes per pound until heated through. For instance, I roasted a 10-lb. ham for 2 ½ hours.

While the ham is in the oven, prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, molasses, vinegar, and yellow mustard.

Once heated through, remove ham from oven. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees F. Uncover ham, brush or spoon glaze over surface. Return to oven, uncovered, and heat for 10 more minutes.

Remove ham from oven and let stand, covered, for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Score top of ham into diamonds and stud center of each diamond with a clove. Place ham on a rack in a roasting pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours. In a bowl combine the sugar, mustard and vinegar and spread glaze evenly over ham. Bake for another 35 minutes Transfer ham to a platter and let stand 15 minutes before carving.

Combine cloves, sugar and mustard and brush over Ham Steak. Bake in baking dish in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes until heated through.

We made this for Thanksgiving today and it was soooo delicious and simple to make! It was a relief not having to worry about it drying out or overcooking, as it was super moist and flavorful. I have used this recipe every time since I found it for baked ham which I buy in a whole piece then cut and freeze in 1 to 2 lb chunks for smaller meals. The ratio of the three main ingredients is easy to conform to whatever size you're using and using a pinch of ground clove added to the mix adds just the right flavor.<br />

Didn't have cloves on hand (this was a last minute, use-whatever's-in-the-pantry kind of glaze) and it still turned out ah-may-zing!  I doubled the recipe for an 18 lb. ham, still applied the glaze at the 35 min. left mark, and used Koop's Stone Ground mustard, which is a bit more robust than the usual grocery store fare.  Everyone else was equally impressed!

This was great, even my fiance who does not like ham loved it.  I was concerned about the combination of brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and mustard for the glaze but it was excellent, not too sweet nor did it taste like apple cider vinegar.  We served it with mashed potatoes and oven roasted brussels sprouts, yum!  I would suggest lining the roasting pan (or whatever you use to bake the ham) with aluminum foil for easier clean up.  It was a little difficult to clean the glaze off of the pan once it was baked on.  We will definitely use this one again!

This old-fashioned Brown Sugar Pineapple Glazed Ham is an easy recipe that makes an impressive statement on a holiday table!

Pineapple Glazed Ham

(7-9 lb.) fully-cooked, bone-in ham

pineapple juice

pineapple slices, drained

7-10 maraschino cherries, drained and rinsed

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

In a saucepan, stir together pineapple juice, brown sugar, Dijon mustard and ground cloves. Bring to a boil and then simmer, stirring occasionally, until the mixture becomes slightly syrupy (about 10 minutes). Set aside.

Line a roasting pan with aluminum foil. Place ham in the pan. Using a sharp knife, score surface of ham with 1/4-in.-deep cuts in a diamond pattern. Arrange pineapple and cherries evenly on ham; secure with wooden toothpicks. Spoon some of the glaze over the ham.

Bake at 325° for 1 hour. Shield the ham loosely with aluminum foil after 1 hour to prevent too much browning, and bake for 1 – 1 ½ more hours (or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest portion registers 140°), basting every 30 minutes with additional glaze and pan juices. Let stand 15 minutes and remove toothpicks before slicing.

Adjust oven rack to lowest position and heat oven to 325 degrees. Bake ham to 100 degrees, about 2 hours. (Lift bag to take temperature; do not puncture.)

Meanwhile, combine sugar, brown mustard, vinegar, dry mustard, ginger, and cloves in medium saucepan and bring to boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until reduced to 3/4 cup, 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool while ham cooks.

Combine panko, parsley, oil, salt, and pepper in bowl. Remove ham from oven, discard oven bag, and let ham cool for 5 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees.

Brush ham all over with brown sugar-mustard mixture. Press panko mixture against sides of ham to evenly to coat. Bake until crumbs are deep golden brown, 20 to 30 minutes. Transfer ham, flat side down, to carving board and let rest for 30 minutes. Carve and serve.

If mixture is too thick, microwave on HIGH 30 seconds to 1 minute or until smooth, stirring after 30 seconds. Brush 1/2 of the honey mixture over ham, gently separating the slices so mixture can reach middle of ham. Cover loosely with foil.

Remove ham from refrigerator 1-2 hours before baking, to allow it to come to room temperature. 

Make Glaze: Meanwhile, make the glaze. In a saucepan combine pineapple tidbits, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 20-30 minutes or until mixture has thickened.

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Remove ham from packaging and throw away the glaze packet and the plastic disk that covers the bone. 

Glaze ham: Place the ham flat/cut side down, in a deep baking dish or roasting pan. I like to line my pan with aluminum foil to make for easier clean-up. Brush just a few spoonfuls of the glaze onto the ham, all over the outside. Reserve the remaining glaze for later. Cover the ham tightly with a tent of aluminum foil. This will help keep the ham from drying out.

Bake at 300 degrees F for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 110 degrees. Note, the ham is already cooked, so we’re just just trying to reheat it. 

Remove the ham from the oven and remove foil tent (set it aside for later). Increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees. Brush the remaining glaze all over the ham. Return to the oven and continue to bake for another 15 minutes.

Rest: Remove from oven, tent with foil and allow to rest for 15 minutes before serving.
