It's so easy to make a balsamic reduction (balsamic glaze) at home. It only takes 15 minutes and it's much healthier than buying it from the store.

Balsamic Glaze (Reduction)

Heat balsamic vinegar in a small pot or saucepan over medium heat.&nbsp;*If adding sugar, combine both into the pot and heat together.

Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to medium-low heat and let simmer, stirring occasionally, until the vinegar thickens and is reduced to about 1/2 cup (about 20 minutes).&nbsp;It should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.*If simmering with sugar, it will take about 8-10&nbsp;minutes to reduce.

Remove from heat and allow to cool completely before serving (about 15 minutes).

Roasted Green Beans And Tomatoes

lb green beans (I recommend Haricot Verts) (trimmed)

cherry tomatoes

olive oil

tsp salt

Preheat the oven to 425 F.

In a large bowl add green beans, tomatoes, olive oil, salt and pepper. Toss to coat.

Arrange on a parchment lined baking dish and roast for 17-20  minutes until green beans are tender.

Meanwhile, add Balsamic vinegar in a small sauce pan and cook over medium low heat until it reduces by half and slightly thickens.

Remove green beans from the oven, sprinkle with cheese and drizzle with Balsamic glaze.

Serve immediately.

Preheat your oven to 400 F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

Add the sprouts and the reserved leaves to the sheet pan. Add the pancetta (or salami). Coat with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Roast for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally for even browning.

Towards the end of cooking, prepare the balsamic syrup. Pour the vinegar into a small sauté pan and sprinkle with sugar. Reduce the mixture over medium-low heat; it will only take 1-2 minutes. Keep your eye on it so it doesn&#8217;t burn! You should end up with 1 tbsp of reduced syrup.

When the sprouts are ready, drizzle the hot balsamic syrup directly over the pan. Toss well to combine.

Preheat oven to 500°F. Place a cold pizza stone or a sheet pan in the oven to preheat. Allow dough to come to room temperature while you prepare the balsamic glaze, about 30 minutes.

Stir balsamic vinegar and honey together in a small saucepan and place over medium-high heat. Bring mixture to a boil, and then reduce heat to low. Keep checking the sauce, and stir every few minutes. Simmer until the vinegar mixture has reduced to 1/3 cup, or the sauce can coat the back of a spoon, about 20 minutes.

Set the balsamic reduction aside to cool but keep at room temperature. You want the sauce to be easily drizzled on the pizza, yet not be runny. The sauce will thicken once cooled so do not over reduce. You can test this by sprinkling a small amount on a plate and to see how thick the sauce is. You can always add a little amount of water to thin the consistency once cooled if needed so it can be drizzled on the pizza.

Balsamic Glaze

Lightly flour your work surface and using your rolling pin, roll outward from the center of the dough until you have created a circular shaped crust, about 10-12 inches in diameter.

Remove the preheated pan or pizza stone from the oven, placing it on a metal cooling rack. Sprinkle a thin layer of cornmeal and flour in the pan or on the stone, and then carefully transfer the dough to the preheated surface. Be careful, it will be very hot!

Quickly brush a thin layer of olive oil on the crust, and then lightly sprinkle with salt. Spread the mozzarella evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.

Add the quartered figs to the top of the pizza, and then add some freshly cracked pepper over the entire surface.

Bake at 500°F for 10 to 14 minutes, or until the crust is slightly browned and the bottom of the crust is cooked.

Remove pizza from the oven and top with prosciutto, walnuts, and arugula. Drizzle the balsamic sauce on top.

Wow!!! This was absolutely delicious. My whole family loved it and we will definitely be maki g this again!!! We've never had steak fettuccine before, don't ask why lol. Made some small changes, added heavy cream instead of milk and added sun dried tomatoes instead of tomatoe halves and it came out perfect.

I made this last night; followed the recipe exactly.  So flavorful and the family absolutely loved it.  I will be making this again and again!

I read that the sauce had no flavor so I found a different Alfredo sauce to make and then added the tomatoes and spinach like it calls for and it was amazing! I also put onion powder on the steak with the salt and pepper and the dish came out with Lots of flavor! Super easy!

Made this as written but didn’t have balsamic. It was good but lacked something - the balsamic glaze probably. But If you don’t have It, I would add red pepper flakes to this while making sauce.

So I had to do a few substitutions, and improvise with what I have here without going to the store. Overall it’s so good and my boys loved it age 5 & 3 so hiFive.  T-Bone steak , store bought grated Parmesan, spaghetti , dried parsley , jar minced garlic . Balsamic glaze was amazing I mixed brown sugar instead of white sugar. The sauce is the best thing about this recipe.  Would taste better as a pour over in the end.  The honey made the chicken burn very quickly.  There was no salvaging the skin, which is the best part. Next time I'll grill this for 10 minutes to get a nice skin and grill taste, then transfer to the over to finish it off, put the glaze on in the end.

A simple homemade balsamic glaze or balsamic reduction is super easy to make and tastes great drizzled over vegetables, meat, and more!

Homemade Balsamic Glaze

Add the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar to a small saucepot. Stir to dissolve the sugar.

Bring the mixture up to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low, then continue to simmer the mixture, stirring occasionally, until it has reduced in volume by about half. This should take around ten minutes, but the total time can vary depending on your cookware and burner. You&#39;ll know it&#39;s done when the simmering bubbles linger on the surface of the vinegar instead of immediately popping.

Remove the glaze from the heat and allow it to cool. It will thicken considerably more as it cools. If it isn&#39;t to your desired thickness, you can simmer the glaze again to further reduce.

Once cool, drizzle the glaze over your favorite foods and enjoy! Refrigerate leftovers until ready to use.

Red potatoes tossed in olive oil and fresh herbs are roasted in the oven until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The potatoes are then tossed in a flavorful garlic balsamic glaze to finish.

Roasted Red Potatoes with Garlic Balsamic Glaze

red potatoes (quartered)

sea salt

garlic powder

paprika

½ teaspoon crushed rep pepper

rosemary (pulled from stem, or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary)

parsley

garlic (finely minced)

In a large bowl add potatoes, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, red pepper and rosemary. With a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, toss to combine all ingredients.

Transfer to a 11x15 baking pan coated with cooking spray or nonstick foil.  Bake at 400° for 25-30 minutes or until potatoes are golden and crispy, and just fork tender on the inside. Prepare glaze while potatoes are roasting.

In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the vinegar, butter and minced garlic.  Simmer until reduced slightly and garlic is fragrant, about 5-7 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine roasted potatoes, balsamic glaze and chopped parsley. Gently toss with rubber spatula until potatoes are coated with glaze. Serve warm.

Homemade Balsamic Glaze is ridiculously easy to make and so versatile. We love it on salad, steak, chicken, or drizzled over fresh fruit.

Pour 1 cup balsamic vinegar into a saucepan and add 1/2 Tbsp honey (if using).

Bring to a low boil, then reduce heat to keep at a simmer for 12-15 minutes.* Stir occasionally until reduced by half and lightly coats the back of a spoon. It will thicken more as it cools. Transfer to a mason jar or air-tight container, let cool to room temperature then refrigerate for 3 to 4 weeks.
