BLT Sandwich with the Best Sauce

bread (cut 1/2” thick)

bacon

tomatoes (thickly sliced)

green lettuce leaves

avocado (or 2 small avocados pitted, peeled and sliced.)

salt and black pepper (to taste)

mayonnaise

sour cream

tsp yellow mustard

Preheat oven to 400˚F. Place bacon on a foil-lined baking sheet in a single layer. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until browned and crisp then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to cool.

In a small bowl, combine sauce ingredients and set aside.

Lightly butter both sides of the toast and toast on a dry griddle or skillet over medium-high heat just until golden brown.

Arrange 4 slices of bread on a cutting board and spread 1 Tbsp of sauce over each toast. Add lettuce then tomato, bacon, avocado. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the avocado.

Spread 1 Tbsp sauce over the remaining toasted bread and place over the sandwich, sauce side down. Cut in half if desired and serve.

THE BEST BLT SANDWICH I'VE EVER MADE - Quick and Easy Recipe

Crispy bacon, juicy roasted tomatoes and crunchy lettuce all makes this BLT sandwich with smoky garlic mayonnaise the ultimate summer sandwich.

The ultimate BLT sandwich

tomatoes

salt

tsp pepper

olive oil

extra large free range egg yolks

lemon

garlic (sliced)

Dijon mustard

tsp smoked paprika

caster sugar

250 ml (1cup) canola oil

250 g (½lb) streaky bacon (cooked

sourdough bread (lightly toasted in the oven)

ice berg lettuce

Pre-heat the oven to 170°c/340°f and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

Place the sliced tomatoes on the sheet pan and season with salt and pepper. Drizzle over the olive oil and place in the oven.

Allow the tomatoes to cook for 45 minutes to an hour until they start to caramelize.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature.

To make the aioli, place the egg yolks, lemon juice, garlic, mustard, paprika, smoked chilli, sugar and salt in a blender and blend for 30 seconds until well combined.

Whilst blending, slowly pour the oil in a thin stream until half of the oil has been incorporated. The remaining oil can be poured in a little quicker as the mixture has already been emulsified at this stage. If your aioli seems very thick you can add a few tablespoons of water to thin it out, just make sure that you blend it well. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Transfer the aioli into a bowl and set aside.

To assemble the sandwich, spread aioli onto the slices of bread.

Layer the lettuce, roasted tomatoes and crispy bacon on top then sandwich with another slice of bread.

Serve immediately.

What do you crave when you're feeling peckish?

Place eggs in a large pot and cover with cold water by about 1". Place pot on stove and bring to a boil. Immediately remove from. heat&nbsp;and cover pot. Let sit 11 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare a medium bowl of ice water. When time is up, drain eggs and submerge in ice water.

Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook bacon, stirring occasionally, until crisp, about 4 minutes per side. Transfer to&nbsp;a paper towel–lined plate.

In a medium bowl, whisk mayonnaise, chives, hot sauce, and&nbsp;vinegar; season with salt and black pepper.

Peel and halve eggs. Spread mayonnaise mixture on cut side of one egg&nbsp;half. Top with tomatoes, lettuce, and bacon.&nbsp;then top with other half of egg; season with salt and black pepper.

These were AMAZING!! The only change we made was to combine the yolks with the mayo mixture making it more like Deviled Eggs and made 1/2 egg a serving. I only used 4 eggs so the mixture was a little runnier than usual but the flavor was FABULOUS!! Got massive thumbs up from my peeps!!

Made these and they are delicious! Messy but tasty. Next time I will assemble using toothpicks.

This was really good & satisfying!  A few things I did different... 
 instead of making it a "sandwich", I left them open faced and spread a little of the mayo on each side of the egg.  I crumbled the bacon and used thin slices of local Creole tomatoes on each half.  The topped with shredded cheese.

These are excellent. I do then open faced and I chop the bacon into bacon but size pieces to sprinkle on top. Makes them easier to eat.

These BLT Egglets Are The Perfect Low-Carb Snack

Made with crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomato all layered on buttery toasted bread, this BLT Sandwich is unbelievably tasty! It’s a quick and easy American classic that takes just minutes to make and can be served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

BLT Sandwich

bacon (thick cut)

bread (thick sliced)

butter (unsalted)

lettuce

Cook the bacon.

Start by cooking your bacon. You can either fry it, cook it in the oven or air fry it which I find easiest. To air fry, place the bacon in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 to 8 minutes at 400°F or until cooked to your liking.

Toast the bread.

Lightly spread butter on both sides of the bread, then toast in a dry skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown.

Assemble sandwiches.

Place 4 slices of bread on a cutting board, then spread with a tablespoon of mayo on each slice. Top each slice of bread with 2 lettuces leaves, tomato slices and bacon. Spread remaining mayo on remaining toasted bread and place sauce side down over the sandwich.

Serve.

Cook your bacon according to package instructions.  I like to save on time and use pre-cooked bacon and warm it in my air fryer.

Slice the tomato and wash the lettuce.  If you want to enhance the flavor of the tomato, season it with salt and pepper.

To assemble the sandwich, toast the bread and spread the mayonnaise on one side of each slice.

Layer the bacon, lettuce, and tomato on one slice of bread.  Top with the other slice of bread and enjoy!

BLT's are a favorite of mine. As long as the bacon is crisp I can eat them every which way. But if you ask me, this blt sandwich made with candied bacon, candied tomatoes and jalapeno cream cheese is the best. However pick and choose what components you want.

Millionaire Bacon BLT

Brown Sugar

Fresh Ground Black Pepper

bacon per sandwich (thin is optional)

hearty white slices sandwich bread per blt

oz block cream cheese

white onion

jalapeno,

garlic powder

Salt

tomato

Brown sugar

Iceberg lettuce

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and then place a wire rack on it.

Place bacon on the rack in the opposite direction that the wires run.

Sprinkle with brown sugar-about 1 t per slice- and rub into the bacon to cover each slice well.

Using you pepper grinder, grind a liberal amount of black pepper over each slice.

Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until bacon is golden brown. Keep in mind that it will crisp up after removing from oven. Because of the sugar on the bacon, it will burn fast. I don&#8217;t mind it a little burnt, but some do so be sure to mind the bacon!

Remove from oven when bacon is ready and set aside to cool.

Millionaire's Bacon

Preheat oven to 450. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice each tomato into 1/2&#8243; slices, about 4 per tomato. Dip each slice into olive oil and place on parchment lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with brown sugar and black pepper. (Just like the bacon.)

Roast for about 25 &#8211; 30 minutes or until edges are a bit crispy. They will still be soft, however you can also do this with a batch of small cherry tomatoes. Toss those with oil and roast whole. They can be eaten just like candy!

Candied Tomatoes:

I put everything into a 4 cup measuring cup and using my immersion blender, blend until soft and creamy. You can add more mayo if needed.

Jalapeno Cream Cheese

Toast bread lightly. ( I have also seen where one is to bake the bread so that way one side of the bread is still soft. In this case, the toasted side is the side that you spread the cream cheese on.)

Spread about 1 T of cream cheese on each slice of bread. Top with 4 candied tomatoes. Top with 2 -3 slices bacon. Add several crisp slices of lettuce and finish with the second slice of cream cheese spread bread. Give it a slight press. Slice on the diagonal and serve!

To assemble

This classic BLT sandwich recipe has no fussy additions or gimmicks. Just salty bacon, juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and plenty of mayo.

Arrange the bacon in a single layer in a cold, large skillet. Set the heat to medium-high and cook until crisp, flipping halfway through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Work in batches, if needed.

While the bacon cooks, cut the tomatoes into thick slices and lay on a plate. Season with the sea salt and pepper. Wash and pat dry the lettuce leaves. Mix the mayonnaise and grated garlic (if using) in a small bowl until combined.

After flipping the bacon, put the bread slices in the toaster and cook to your desired level of doneness.

Spread a generous amount of mayonnaise on the toasted bread, covering one side of all 4 slices.

Layer the tomatoes, bacon (break slices in half if needed), and lettuce on the mayo-slathered bread. Top each with another slice of toast, mayo side down.
