Homemade Chai Tea Latte

water

black tea bags

cloves

cinnamon

tsp ground ginger

tsp cardamom

nutmeg

tsp allspice

TB maple syrup

chai tea (recipe above)

milk

For the chai tea: In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the water and spices to a boil. Whisk the spices in the water. Once the water reaches a boil, turn off the heat and allow the spices to steep in the water for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, turn the heat back on and add the black tea bag and maple syrup. Return to a slight boil (the goal is a hot liquid for steeping). Once boiling, turn off the heat. Allow the tea bags to steep in the water and spices for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer. Reserve 1/2 cup of chai tea for the latte. Store the rest of the chai tea in the fridge up to two weeks for freshness.

For the latte: In a medium-size saucepan, bring the milk, maple syrup, and pinch of cinnamon to a slight boil (the sides of the milk will begin to bubble), stirring often. Once the sides of the milk begin to bubble, remove the pan from heat. Using an&nbsp;immersion blender (this is the trick to a frothy homemade latte), blend the milk until it's frothy.

Pour 1/2 cup of chai tea in a mug. Slowly add the warm, frothy milk to the tea. Sprinkle the top of the chai latte with an extra pinch of cinnamon, if desired.

Serve warm.

This homemade Starbucks copycat Chai Tea Latte gives you all the delicious flavor of the store-bought drink at the fraction of the price. It’s a caffeinated latte that makes the perfect warm drink on a cool day, and equally as good iced too. You can now save money and make this easy recipe at home with a few simple ingredients.

Easy Chai Tea Latte Recipe

chai tea bags

sugar ((this will make a slightly sweet drink, add 2 tablespoons if you prefer a sweeter drink))

cinnamon ((plus more for garnish))

Add water to a small saucepan and bring it to a boil.

Place chai tea bags in the pan, and cover with a lid.

Let the tea steep for 5 minutes. Then remove the tea bags.

In a separate saucepan over medium heat, pour milk into the pot.

Add sugar and cinnamon.

Heat up the milk until it just starts to steam, but is not boiling.

(optional) Use a handheld frother or immersion blender to froth the milk.

Add the tea into the cup, and pour the milk on top. Stir to combine.

Add more milk on top and sprinkle with cinnamon powder. Serve immediately and enjoy!

This spiced chai tea latte popsicles recipe is bursting with bold flavors! The perfect cool treat with just a hint of sweetness for a healthy indulgence.

Spiced Chai Tea Latte Popsicles

chai tea

In a medium-sized pot add 2 ¼ cups water and bring to a boil. Add spices and whisk. Add 2 tea bags and turn off the heat.

Allow tea bags to steep for 10 minutes. Lift and squeeze bags to extract remaining liquid into the pot, discard.

Add 2 ¼ cup milk and 4 teaspoons maple syrup to the pot, whisk to combine. Taste the tea mixture and add more sweetener if desired.

Evenly distribute the chai tea latte mixture into each popsicle mold. I use about 6 to 7 tablespoons per mold.

Add the cover, insert sticks and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight. If you have a hard time getting the popsicle sticks to stay in place, you can wrap some foil on top of the cover then add the sticks through the foil to position it better.

To remove the popsicles, use warm water over the molds for about 10 seconds, then pull the sticks carefully. Repeat the water process as needed.

If desired, you can add toppings to your popsicles like a drizzle of melted chocolate and sprinkle with chopped nuts. I used white chocolate and pistachios for my popsicles.

This quick and refreshing iced chai tea latte can be made with just 4 ingredients in about 5 minutes.

Quick Iced Chai Tea Latte

½ cup filtered water (divided)

(8 grams) granulated sugar (*)

milk (any percentage)

Whipped cream (optional

In a small pot or microwave-safe cup, bring ¼ cup of the water to a boil on the stove or in the microwave. Add tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags.

Stir in sugar until completely dissolved and add remaining ¼ cup of cold or room-temperature water. Set aside.

Fill 1 16-ounce cup with 1½ cup of ice. Add milk.

Pour chai mixture over the milk and stir to combine. Top with optional whipped cream if desired, and enjoy!

In a small pot, bring water to a boil. Pour into an 8-ounce mug and steep tea bag for 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bag. Stir in sugar.

While your tea steeps, pour milk into the pot and heat over medium heat until milk begins to steam (do not bring to a boil) whisk vigorously until foamy or use a handheld milk frother to froth milk.

Pour most of the milk into the tea concentrate, stirring to combine before adding in the last of the milk and foam, sprinkle with cinnamon if desired, and enjoy!
