Make the batter: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, egg, and milk in a bowl until smooth. Melt the butter in the skillet, remove from heat, then pour the batter in.

Bake: Spoon the cherry mixture in an even layer over the batter and turn the oven down to 350F. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cherry Crumble is a cherry lover's dream! It's filled with tart, sour cherries...then covered with a buttery, crisp topping.

Cherry Crumble

(24 oz) jar tart pitted cherries in syrup

vanilla

butter,

Pour the jar of cherries including syrup into a saucepan. Heat on medium until bubbly.

Mix the cornstarch with water in a small bowl until creamy. Pour into cherries and stir over heat.

Add cinnamon and vanilla. Stir frequently for 5 minutes until thickened, then turn off heat.

Pour the cherry filling into a 9" pie plate.

CHERRY FILLING

Cut a stick of chilled butter into cubes.

In a separate mixing bowl, stir the sugar, flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt together.

Fold the butter into the dry ingredients and mix with a mixer or food processor until crumbly. 

Using your hands, mix together to form the crumble. Sprinkle it over the cherries in the pie plate. Make sure to use it all.

Sprinkle the topping with a dusting of cinnamon.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until crust is golden brown and cherries are bubbling.

(24 ounces) tart cherries in syrup (or can of cherry pie filling)

Hershey's Chocolate Candy Bars,

(15 ounces) Devil's Food Chocolate Cake Mix ((use dry))

pkg. (6 ounces) sliced almonds

Arrange 4 ramekins in bottom of air fryer basket. Remove rack if necessary.

Add 3 Tablespoons of cherries to the bottom of each ramekin. If using tart cherries in syrup, be sure to drain them first.

Top cherries with several broken candy bar pieces.

Add 3 Tablespoons of dry cake mix on top of candy bar pieces.

Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of cake mix.

Add 3 pats of butter on top of almonds.

Cover and seal ramekins with aluminum foil that has a few holes punched in it.

Set air fryer to 325 degrees for 15 minutes.

After 5 minutes of cooking, take parchment paper out of air fryer and continue to cook.
