I just made these! I also added the Old Bay seasoning. I chilled before frying. They turned out perfect and delicious!

Very good recipe for a quick crab cake! My only adjustment was instead of hot sauce, I used a dry Cajun spice, and I didn't have fresh parsley so I used dried.

Made these for the first time yesterday for my son’s birthday celebration. I followed all ingredients but used Old Bay seasoning as mentioned in one of the other reviews. My family and friends enjoyed. I can’t wait until our next function to treat them again with such a tasty dish!

I made these last night with the recipe above and added: green onions, old bay, and mozzarella pearls. Cooked in the airfryer for about 15 minutes (turning cooked for 3 more) to make sure it was crispy on both sides. My first time and the came out great!

I made a lemon garlic aioli in place of tartar sauce. The crab cakes are delicious!

I generally followed this recipe. When I saw 2 TBSP of Dijon, I knew immediately I wasn’t going to like that;, only added 1 TBSP and I think that was a bit too much. I also added some finely chopped green onion and grated Parmesan to the crab mixture and a big squeeze of lemon juice to the liquids.  My husband &amp; I liked the recipe after my adjustments, but as I said probably would cut back even more on the mustard. I saw the suggestions on the Old Bay, but with the Worcestershire, mustard, and hot sauce, I was thinking that could over power the crab so I didn’t add that, which I think was a good decision.

The recipe is very easy. I used 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning along with saute onions take this dish to another level for me. The crab cakes were moist and full of favor. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

I made this and added a pinch of old bay. Also put in the oven on 350 for 5 mins after done cooking. Perfect recipe !

Excellent recipe. Since I serve mine with rémoulade sauce, I’m delighted not to have Old Bay fighting with it.  I have successfully subbed crushed saltines when I was out of Pablo.

Best Ever is correct!
This is my second attempt at making crab cakes. First attempt left a LOT to be desired. This recipe is a definite keeper! 
  I do not like mayonnaise but my husband does, so I used it. I must say that I think it adds great flavor and moistness. 
  Unfortunately, my Dijon mustard had spoiled, so I used 2 tsp. dry mustard. The other problem was we don't ever use hot sauce, so I decided to substitute 1 tsp. Old Bay. Other than that, I stayed true to the recipe. 
   My husband loved them. He very rarely compliment s my cooking , but one bite and he said  they were good.
    This is a definite keeper recipe. All I need to do is boot up my computer so I can print it!

How To Make Crab Cakes Better Than A Fancy Seafood Restaurant

Salt

450 g jumbo lump crabmeat, picked over for shells

75 g panko bread crumbs

tbsp. parsley

Vegetable oil,

This easy crab cakes recipe uses any kind of crab meat you want - lump, claw, canned or fresh - for a simple seafood recipe you&#039;ll love!

Easy Crab Cakes

crab meat

green onions (thinly sliced (white, green, and light green parts))

dijon mustard

soy sauce

hot sauce (more

breadcrumbs (regular or panko is fine)

canola oil (for frying (or another neutral tasting oil))

lemon slices, fresh chopped parsley, and tartar sauce

Mix ingredients.

Combine all ingredients (except for canola oil) in a medium bowl.

Heat oil in a skillet.

Heat a large heavy skillet, such as cast iron, over medium-high heat. Add 1/4 cup oil to the skillet. (I recommend 12 inch - anything smaller than that and you may need to cook two batches.)

Scoop crab cake mixture into hot skillet and flatten patties.

Use a large ice cream scoop / disher scoop to get a portion of the crab cake mix from the bowl (or smaller, cookie scoop to make mini crab cakes). Place directly into the hot oil in the skillet and use the back of a fish spatula to press down on the top. (Alternatively, you can divide into four-six equal portions and form patties with your hands.)

Cook the patties on each side.

Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes, flip carefully, and cook for another 3-4 minutes (more or less time depending on how big the patties are or how hot your burners are) over medium-high heat, until the outside is golden brown and crispy.

Serve.

Place cooked crab cakes on a paper towel lined plate. Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and garnish of fresh parsley, and tartar sauce or remoulade sauce, on their own or in a bun or lettuce wrap as a sandwich.

Crab Cakes

Tablespoons chives (, finely chopped)

lime juice

chipotle chili powder

salt and black pepper

Make the sauce by combining the ingredients until smooth. Refrigerate, covered, until ready to serve. (Can be made several days in advance).

Mix crab and seasonings: In a mixing bowl add the crab meat, bell peppers, one beaten egg, Old Bay seasoning, mayo, garlic, cilantro and salt and pepper. Gently stir just until blended. 

Refrigerate for at least one hour, or up to 5 hours.

Form Crab Cakes: Beat the remaining egg and add to a shallow dish. Add the panko bread crumbs to another dish. Spoon about 1/3 cup of the mixture into your palm and flatten into a small disc, about 3 inches in diameter. Sprinkle the outsides of the crab cake patties with a tiny bit of cornstarch. 

Dip each patty lightly in the beaten egg, and then coat them lightly with panko bread crumbs. I try to avoid doing a thick coating of crumbs because I like the crab flavor to shine through as much as possible.&nbsp;

Cook: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, until golden brown on bottom. Gently flip to the other side and cook for another 3 minutes, or until golden. Remove to a plate.

Serve warm with chipotle mayo sauce for dipping.
