<em>Crispy Honey BBQ Chicken Wings - baked instead of fried these classic chicken wings are crispy, tender and smothered in a sweet spicy Honey BBQ Sauce! A definite crowd pleaser and the perfect game day recipe!</em>

Crispy Baked Honey BBQ Chicken Wings

chicken wings

canola oil

garlic powder

onion powder

smoked paprika

sea salt

black pepper

favorite BBQ sauce (I used Stubbs)

honey

mustard

sriracha sauce

Add chicken to a large bowl. Pat chicken dry.

Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of canola oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, sea salt and pepper. Toss to coat all the chicken.

Place chicken on a wire rack lined baking sheet. (if you don&#8217;t have a wire rack, use parchment paper)

Bake for 40 minutes, flipping the chicken after 20 minutes.

Place chicken under broiler for 8-10 minutes, until browned.

In the meantime, heat a medium sauce pan to medium heat. Add BBQ sauce, honey, stone ground mustard and sriracha sauce. Stir and bring to a simmer, let simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Remove chicken from oven. Place in a large bowl, pour the Honey BBQ sauce over the chicken wings. Using a pair of tongs, toss the wings to coat all of them with the sauce.

Optional: add chopped chives for garnish.

Just made these for the Super Bowl and my whole family couldn’t stop saying how they were better than from a restaurant! My husband even fried up a few, but we thought the baked ones were the best. Definitely making these again!

Savory hand pies made with flaky crescent roll dough filled with a rich and meaty filling. These easy and quick pies are perfect football food but also make a standout weeknight dinner when paired with a simple salad.

Louisiana Meat Pies

olive oil

½ lb ground beef (80/20

pork

green onions

garlic (minced)

salt

¼ tsp ground black pepper

Worcestershire

beef stock

tubes crescent roll dough (preferably the non-perforated kind)

¼ C sour cream

¼ C mayo

1-3 Tb creamy horseradish (more or less as desired)

lemon

salt and black pepper

Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add oil and once hot, add the ground beef and pork.

Cook the meat for about 10 minutes until browned. Break up the meat while it&#039;s cooking until the texture is small crumbles. Cut the green onions into ¼-inch pieces, including the white portion of the onion.

Once the meat is browned and cooked through, add garlic, green onions, salt and pepper. Cook for another 3 minutes. Add flour, stir well to combine and cook for 2 minutes. Last, add Worcestershire and beef stock.

Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the mixture simmer for 1-2 minutes, stirring often until the sauce is thick. The sauce should coat all of the meat.

Cool the filling completely before filling the hand pies. You can make the filling in advance or spread out the filling on a sheet pan and place in the fridge for 30 minutes. Once the filling is cooled, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Remove the crescent dough from the can and place on a lightly floured surface. If using the preforated dough, pinch together the seams using your two index fingers, being careful not to tear the dough. Once you&#039;ve pinched all the seams, sprinkle a light dusting of flour on top of the dough and lightly roll over the dough to flatten and seal your pinched seams.

Crack one egg into a small bowl and whisk in 1 tsp of cold water. Set aside with a pastry brush for assembling the pies.

Lightly flour the top of your crescent roll dough and roll out to a roughly 6&quot; x 9&quot; rectangle. If you want perfect squares, trim the edges to be straight, and then cut the dough into six 3-inch squares.

Place 3 Tb of filling in one corner of each square. Using a pastry brush, lightly coat all four edges of the square with egg wash. Fold the corner opposite of the filling over the top until the edges meet to form a triangle shape. Carefully press down the edges with your fingers.

Carefully remove the hand pie from your work surface and place it on a baking sheet prepared with parchment paper. Use a fork to seal the edges completely. Cut one ½-inch slit in the top of each pie to allow steam to escape.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Crescent roll dough browns quickly so keep an eye on them. The filling is totally cooked so you're just trying to bake the dough.

To make the sauce, combine all of the ingredients in a small mixing bowl and chill until ready to serve.

Once cooked, cool for a couple of minutes before serving with horseradish cream sauce.

Cracked Out Turkey Pinwheels

(8-oz) package cream cheese, (softened)

Tbsp ranch mix

cheddar cheese

Tbsp milk

bacon

½ lb thinly sliced deli turkey

(12-inch) large burrito tortillas

Mix softened cream cheese with the ranch powder, cheddar cheese, 1 Tbsp milk, and bacon until well combined. Add more milk if desired.

Spread 1/4 of this mixture evenly on each tortilla then lay 3-4 slices of turkey breast flat on top of the cheese mixture to cover in a single layer.

Roll the tortilla up gently, yet tightly to make sure it holds together and keeps its shape.

Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up the softened cheese. Cut off ends of tortilla roll and cut into 1-inch slices.

Cracked Out Corn Dip - OMG! SO good! Corn, cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, bacon and Ranch. I took this to a party and it was the first thing to go! Can make ahead and refrigerate until ready to eat. Our FAVORITE dip! YUM!

(1-oz) package Original Ranch dressing mix

(16-oz) sour cream

corn kernels, (thawed)

Preheat oven to 400ºF. Lightly spray a 2qt baking dish with cooking spray..

In a bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Transfer to 2-quart baking dish; cover with aluminum foil.

Bake dip 25 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Mix all ingredients until well combined. (I use my KitchenAid mixer with the dough hook attachment)

Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a rimmed baking sheet.

Bake for 18 - 22 minutes, or until brown.

These delicious and crispy baked chicken wings are easy enough for even inexperienced cooks, and are the perfect snack for game day.

2.5 lbs. chicken wings

Preheat the oven to 400ºF. In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch, paprika, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, pepper, and salt.

Pat the wings dry, then place them in a bowl. Drizzle the cooking oil over top, then toss until the wings are coated in oil. Add the cornstarch-seasoning mixture, then toss to coat again.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup, then place wire cooling racks on top. Place the seasoned chicken wings on the wire racks with space between each wing.

Bake the wings for 30 minutes, then flip and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the wings have achieved the amount of browning desired (this will depend on the size of your wings).

Serve hot with your favorite sauce!

Air Fryer Honey BBQ Chicken Wings| With Shortcuts

If the chicken wings are whole, first cut them into flats, drums and wing tips. Discard the wing tips or save them to make chicken broth.To cut them into sections, slice between the joints with a sharp knife on a cutting board.

Preheat the air fryer at 375 degrees for 3 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine paprika, garlic salt, and pepper.

Either sprinkle the seasoning mixture on both sides of the chicken or place the chicken in a sealable plastic bag and sprinkle the seasoning mixture on them and  toss them around to coat.

If your air fryer&#39;s basket rack is nonstick, you don&#39;t have to spray it with oil because you are preheating the rack. If using a metal oven-style air fryer, you can spray it with oil first.

Arrange flats and drums in the air fryer basket in a single layer where they do not touch. Be sure not to crowd them. You will cook them in batches. Air fry at 375 degrees for 10 minutes, turn them over and cook an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown, crispy and the temperature registers 170 degrees on an instant read thermometer placed near the bone.

Brush them with bbq sauce on both sides and cook an additional 1 minute, without turning. Serve with Ranch dressing more bbq sauce.

Italian Cream Cheese Stuffed Celery

celery (rinsed and dried)

(8-oz) block cream cheese,

Italian dressing mix

mayonnaise

Cut each celery stalk into three pieces. Set aside.

Combine cream cheese, Italian dressing mix, mayonnaise, and mozzarella cheese.

Stuff celery with cream cheese mixture.

Garnish celery with dried parsley and paprika, if desired. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

In a saute pan over medium, heat cook the hamburger, onion, and peppers together until the hamburger is cooked through and the onions and peppers are soft. Drain the mixture.

Add the garlic powder, mustard, catsup and worcestershire sauce, stir to combine.  Season with salt and pepper to taste.  Cook another 15 - 20 minutes.

Cut Italian Bread into serving sizes to meet your family's appetite.  Cut the bread pieces in half. Spread butter on top and bottom of bread pieces.  Broil until crispy and browned.  Lay slices of Monterey Jack on each bread slice, broil until cheese has melted.  Top the bottom of each bread slice with Sloppy Joe mix, place another piece of bread on top.  Serve.

Easy Gluten-Free Fried Pickles

dill pickle spears

flour flour

milk (use dairy-free if preferred)

tbsp pickle juice

dill

tsp salt

gluten-free breadcrumbs

tbsp avocado oil

ranch dressing

parsley dill (to garnish)

Place the dill pickle spears on paper towels to absorb excess moisture. While they sit, set up the breading station. Place the gluten-free flour in one bowl, the egg, milk, pickle juice, and half of the spices whisked together in a second bowl, and the breadcrumbs with the other half of the spices in a third bowl. Prepare a large plate or baking sheet with parchment paper.

Pat the pickles dry before beginning. One at a time, take a pickle spear and completely coat it in the gluten-free flour. Then dip the floured pickle in the egg mixture, flipping to coat all sides. Let the excess liquid drip off and place the pickle in the breadcrumb bowl. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and gently pat on all sides so the pickle is fully breaded. If you want extra crispy pickles, dip the breaded pickle back in the egg mixture, then in the breadcrumbs again. Place on the baking sheet and repeat with the rest of the pickle spears.To avoid sticky breadcrumbs, try using the “wet hand, dry hand” technique, where one hand is reserved for dipping the pickle in the flour and breadcrumbs, and the other coats it in the egg. 

Once all pickles are breaded, place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 30 minutes for the breading to solidify. Feel free to make the pickles ahead and keep them in the freezer for when you&#39;re ready to bake. If so, freeze the pickles solid on the baking sheet, about 2 hours, then transfer to a closed container to keep in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Oven Instructions: Preheat the oven to 425ºF. Arrange the pickles on a wire rack on top of a baking sheet. Drizzle with avocado oil or cooking spray. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crisp. They may need a few extra minutes if completely frozen.Air Fryer Instructions: Preheat the air fryer to 375ºF. Spray the basket with avocado oil or cooking spray. Place the pickles in the basket with 1-2cm of space between them. You may have to do multiple batches. Spray the tops of the pickles with oil. Air fry for 13-15 minutes until crispy. They may need a few extra minutes if completely frozen.

Remove to a platter and serve immediately with ranch dressing and a garnish of parsley or fresh dill. Enjoy!
