Grilled Flank Steak Summer Salad Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette

extra virgin olive oil

garlic (finely diced)

Teaspoon kosher salt

Teaspoon black pepper

Combine Vinaigrette ingredients in food process and blend for 20-30 seconds.

Taste and make any necessary adjustments per your specific taste.

Place in refrigerator.

Season flank steak with salt and pepper.

Grill your steak on high heat for approx. 2 minutes per side and then move to a cool side and cover the grill.

Let steak continue cooking until it reaches your preferred doneness.

Remove from grill and let rest.

Add lettuce, asparagus, tomatoes, peas, onion, yellow pepper and avocado to your salad bowls.

Cut your steak into strips and place on salad.

Cover with your desired amount of vinaigrette.

For the Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing: Place all the ingredients in a pint jar and screw the lid on tight. Shake vigorously until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Preheat the grill. Cut the romaine head in half length-wise. Then quickly grill on both sides until char marks form. Remove and roughly chop the romaine.

Cut the avocados in half and use a large spoon to scoop out the flesh in one whole piece. Cut in half lengthwise, then use a small heart cookie cutter to cut out hearts.

Divide the romaine between 4 plates. Top with pecans, pomegranate arils, and avocado hearts. Drizzle with Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing.

This tahini sauce is a vegan lemon tahini dressing that's perfect on anything: a Buddha bowl, a sandwich or veggie burger, or as a dip!

In a small bowl, combine the tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, maple syrup, and kosher salt and whisk to combine. Add the water and whisk until a creamy dressing forms; you may need to add a bit more depending on the consistency of your tahini.

Serve immediately or refrigerate and bring to room temperature before serving. Extra dressing keeps for about 1 month in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

One of our favorite healthy salad dressings! Creamy, low fat poppy seed dressing paired with ultimate grilled chicken salad is a main salad lunch or light dinner idea that you will make over and over again.

10 Healthy Salad Dressings - Grilled Chicken Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

plain yogurt (I used 2%)

tsp white (apple cider or rice vinegar)

onion powder

tsp salt

black pepper (to taste)

large boneless & skinless chicken breast (cut in half lengthwise)

olive oil (extra virgin)

lemon (zest and juice of)

garlic (grated)

oregano

tsp black pepper

Mixed baby greens

raspberries (strawberries

grape tomatoes (cut in halves)

feta or goat cheese (crumbled)

mixed nuts (unsalted)

red onion (thinly sliced)

To make poppy seed dressing: In a small bowl add yogurt, maple syrup, vinegar, mustard, poppy seeds, onion powder, salt and pepper. Stir well with a fork to combine. Set aside.

To make grilled chicken: In a large bowl add chicken, olive oil, lemon zest and juice, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. ; Stir with tongs and let marinate for 30 minutes.

Grill on medium high heat (450 degrees F) for 10 minutes, flipping once. Rest under foil for 5 minutes.

To make grilled chicken salad: In a large salad bowl, add greens, sliced grilled chicken breast, raspberries, tomatoes, feta, nuts and red onion.

Drizzle with healthy poppyseed dressing and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately.

I'm going to show you how to make a copycat recipe for the Olive Garden
salad dressing and when you're done with this recipe, it's going to taste
just like it does at the Olive Garden. You can purchase the Olive Garden
salad dressing at the restaurant. It's about $7.00 to $8.00 a bottle. But
you know what? You can make it at home for a whole lot less, so let me show
you how.

One-third cup of vinegar, this is ½ cup of mayonnaise. Use one teaspoon of
vegetable oil, two tablespoons of corn syrup; two teaspoons of Romano
cheese, along with two teaspoons of Parmesan cheese. Here's a ¼ teaspoon of
garlic salt. Here's a ½ teaspoon of Italian seasoning. This is a spiced
blend you buy in your grocery store. A ½ teaspoon of parsley flakes. You
could use fresh if you like. One-tablespoon of lemon juice and you can also
use fresh-squeezed.

We're going to start with a ½ of mayonnaise, added to the one-third cup of
vinegar that's in my bowl. You can do this all in your blender, as well.
And now we're going to add two tablespoons of corn syrup, just blending in
our corn syrup. Now we're going to add in our one tablespoon of lemon
juice. Again, if you have fresh-squeezed, that would be great.

That would be the juice of about one lemon. Next we're going to add our
vegetable oil. You can use just regular vegetable oil, canola oil. We're
going to pour that right in and whisk it in. Next we're going to add our
cheeses. We're going to add in our garlic salt. We're going to add in our
Italian seasonings, and we're going to add in our parsley, and now let's
taste that Olive Garden salad dressing.

Creamy Italian: Blend 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, 2 tablespoon each sour cream and olive oil, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1 clove garlic, and 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt in a blender. Stir in 1 tablespoon chopped parsley.

2. Homemade Creamy Italian Salad Dressing

Classic Vinaigrette: Whisk 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, and pepper to taste. Gradually whisk in 1/3 cup olive oil.

3. Classic Vinaigrette Salad Dressing

Roasted Garlic: Slice the top off 1 head garlic; drizzle with olive oil, wrap in aluminum foil and roast at 400 degree until tender, about 35 minutes. Cool and then squeeze out the cloves. Blend the roasted garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, 3 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan, 1/3 cup olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, and pepper to taste in a blender. I’m obsessed with this one. SO good! Make a double batch and use part of it for a marinade for chicken breast. It’s also amazing on roasted vegetables. I made my freezer to slow cooker Spaghetti and Meatballs and served it with a simple side salad and this dressing last night and I couldn’t get enough. Super easy, healthy, delicious, whole food meal the whole family loves.

4. Roasted Garlic Dressing

Honey Mustard: Whisk 2 tablespoons each of honey, Dijon mustard, and white vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and pepper to taste. Gradually whisk in 1/4 cup olive oil. So easy, super classic, I love honey mustard dressing on all the things.

5. Honey Mustard Salad Dressing

Honey Poppy Seed: Whisk 2 teaspoon black poppy seeds, 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. Gradually whisk in 1/3 cup olive oil. This one I have around most of the time because it always hits the spot. This is great on salads with berries and other sweet fruits in them, it compliments them nicely.

6. Honey Poppy Seed Dressing

Asian Sesame: Whisk 2 tablespoons cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 1/2 teaspoons grated peeled ginger, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 1/3 cup vegetable oil (or other neutral oil), 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, and pepper to taste, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. This dressing is also excellent on Asian inspired noodle recipes and chicken salads.

7. Asian Sesame Dressing

Peanut-Lime: Blend 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter, 2 tablespoons water, the juice of one lime, 1 tablespoon each rice or white vinegar, chopped peeled ginger, soy sauce, and honey in a blender. This dressing is awesome on “quinoa” bowls (roasted veggies/protein/quinoa) and it’s also excellent on fish.
