Super easy 4 ingredient Instant Pot Bread! A very easy pressure cooker bread recipe, that takes minimal work.

Instant Pot Bread Recipe

Start by taking your warm water or milk...

Start by taking your warm water or milk (needs to be 105 degrees) and pour it into a bowl. Add in your sugar and yeast. Stir and let sit for 5-10 minutes. This is where your yeast will bubble. This shows the yeast is activated.

Now you will slowly add in your flour...

Now you will slowly add in your flour and salt. Now, you might not use all the flour. You want to work your flour in slowly until it forms a ball that isn't sticky to touch.  When you reach that texture, don't add any more flour.

Take your dough and knead it on a...

Take your dough and knead it on a floured surface for about 2 minutes, or until the ball comes together nicely.

Place your bread in the Instant Pot, and...

Place your bread in the Instant Pot, and cover with a glass lid. Turn your yogurt setting on low, and do a 30-minute cook.

After the bread has doubled in size, remove...

After the bread has doubled in size, remove bread dough from Instant Pot and layout on a floured surface. Work the dough a bit more, and form into a ball.

Place in your parchment-lined or greased pan. You...

Place in your parchment-lined or greased pan. You can use a springform pan or even a cake pan. Cover and let rise on the counter for 20 minutes.

Now take a cup of water and pour...

Now take a cup of water and pour it into your Instant Pot, pot. Then add your trivet or a silicone sling and place your aluminum foil covered pan in the pressure cooker.

Place pressure cooker lid, select 45 minutes high...

Place pressure cooker lid, select 45 minutes high pressure. Then allow it to natural release for 10 minutes. Release off any leftover pressure.

Now uncover your bread, and then place in...

Now uncover your bread, and then place in oven or use air fryer lid, to broil the top of the bread. It will give it a nice brown color. This takes only 3-5 minutes to get the color you want.

(3¼ cups) King Arthur all purpose flour

(1-2 tsp) instant yeast ((refer to time chart in Step 1))

(1.5 tsp) fine table salt

300 ml (1¼ cup) cold water ((may need more depending on your flour))

Make Bread Dough:

Make Bread Dough: In a large mixing bowl, add in 400g all-purpose flour, then 8g fine table salt. Mix them very well. Add in instant yeast, and mix them very well.*Pro Tip: If you&#039;re using Active Dry Yeast, please see recipe notes section.Yeast Rising Time Chart:Option 1 - Good Flavor (2 - 3 hrs on countertop): use 6g – 8g Instant Yeast or 7.5g – 10g Dry Active YeastOption 2 - Middle Ground (2 hrs on countertop + 12 hrs in Fridge): use 4g – 6g Instant Yeast or 5g – 7.5g Dry Active YeastOption 3 - Best Flavor (2 hrs on countertop + 24 hrs in Fridge): use 4g Instant Yeast or 5g Dry Active YeastPush all the flour mixture to the side by creating a well in the middle. Gradually pour 300ml cold water into the well, then mix the flour until well incorporated to form a wet sticky dough.*Pro Tip: Make sure all the flour is mixed in. Depending on your flour, you may need another 30ml of cold water.Cover the dough with a lid or food wrap to retain moisture.

Rising Dough:

Rising Dough: Let dough rise to almost double in size for 2 hours at 75°F (24°C) to 85°F (29°C). Then, you can continue to step 3 or place it in the fridge for 12 - 24 hours.Option to Rising Dough in Instant Pot: If your kitchen is cooler or warmer, you can use Instant Pot Yogurt Low or Less setting (Temperate: ~72°F - 76°F) or Sous Vide function (set Temperature to 80°F). Grease the bottom of the inner pot with some oil. Add dough in Instant Pot, then cover Instant Pot with a lid. Wait &amp; let the dough rise until it doubles in size (~2 - 3 hours).*Pro Tip: The temperature affects the time it takes for the dough to rise, and the rising time determines the bread&#039;s flavor. Generally speaking, the longer you let the dough rise, the more flavor it develops.

Shape Bread Dough:

Shape Bread Dough (see photo): Lightly dust your work surface with some flour. Place the dough on the dusted surface.*Pro Tip: To prevent the dough from sticking to your hand, wet your hand with a bit of water before you fold the dough.Fold the bottom part of the dough up, then pull and stretch the top part of the dough and fold it down. Flip the dough over and roughly shape it into a round &quot;ball&quot; shape. Grease the bottom of a stainless steel container with some oil, then place the dough in the container. Cover the container with a lid.

Final Proof Bread:

Final Proof Bread (Optional): Let the dough rest and proof for 1 to 2 hours at 75°F (24°C) to 85°F (29°C).*Note: This final proofing step is recommended. You can also proof the bread in Instant Pot using &quot;Yogurt Low or Less setting&quot; or &quot;Sous Vide function&quot; (see Step 2 for instructions).

Pressure Cook Bread:

Pressure Cook Bread: Add 1 cup (250ml) cold water to the Instant Pot. If you’re using a closed container with no removable bottoms, place the container directly in the water. *Pro Tip: If you’re using a pan with a removable bottom, add a trivet and place the pan on top of it. Pressure Cook at High Pressure for 40 minutes + 10 minutes Natural Release. Open the lid carefully.*See Oven &amp; Air Fryer Lid Instructions &amp; Comparison Photos below

Uncover &amp; Bake Bread:

Uncover &amp; Bake Bread: Soak up the water on the lid, then remove the lid. Measure the bread&#039;s temperature with a meat thermometer (core should be 180°F – 190°F). Option 1 - Oven Method: Place the bread container in a 450°F oven for roughly 12 - 18 minutes until the bread crust is beautifully brown.Option 2 - Air Frying Method: Press the “Broil” button, set the Temperature to 400°F, and Cooking Time to 20 minutes. Place the air fryer lid on the Instant Pot. It takes roughly 20 - 25 minutes + preheat time. You can open the lid to check the progress.

Cool &amp; Slice Bread:

Cool &amp; Slice Bread: Remove the bread from the container. Place the crusty bread on a wire rack and let it cool down for at least an hour before slicing into it. You did it!! You made artisan bread in Instant Pot! Enjoy~

Instant Pot Bread #15 | Easy 4-Ingredient No Knead Bread!

Instant Pot No-Knead Whole Wheat Bread is full of whole grain, seedy goodness and is ready for dinner in a fraction of the time of typical no-knead Artisan bread

Instant Pot No-Knead Whole Wheat Bread

(or 9 oz) white whole wheat flour

(or 4.25 ounces) white flour

vital wheat gluten

oats

millet (or sub uncooked quinoa)

flax seeds

sunflower seeds

instant yeast

In a medium bowl, mix together wheat flour, white flour, wheat gluten, oats, millet (or quinoa), flax seeds, sunflower seeds, salt, and yeast.

Add the water and with your hands, mix until the majority of the flour is incorporated, but the dough is still a slightly shaggy looking ball.

Note: If the dough is still quite wet and sticky, sprinkle an extra tablespoon or two of flour on top and gently fold it in.  You want the dough to be tacky, but not so wet and sticky that it coats your hands when you&#8217;re working the flour in.

Place on top of a piece of parchment paper and put inside the Instant Pot liner.

Secure the lid.  Press yogurt, then adjust until the screen reads LOW.  Adjust time to 4:30 and wait for the beep to indicate the cycle has started.

At the 4 hour mark, the dough will have puffed up a bit and have small bubbles on top.  Grab the sides of the parchment to lift the dough out of the pot and place it on the counter.

Quickly form a ball and place back on the parchment paper.

Return the dough to the Instant Pot for the remaining 30 minutes.  Secure the lid.

Place an empty 6 quart cast iron pot inside the oven with the lid on.  Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

When the Instant Pot beeps, the oven should be preheated and the dough will have slightly risen.

Remove the pot from the oven and place the lid to the side.

Holding on to the sides of the parchment, carefully lift dough from the Instant Pot and place inside the enameled pot (parchment paper and all).

Place lid on top (tear off any pieces of parchment paper that are sticking out) and return cast iron pot to the oven.  Bake for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, remove the lid of the ceramic pot and allow the bread to bake 10 -15 minutes longer until the bread is nicely browned.

Use the corners of the parchment paper to place bread on top of a cooling rack, removing the paper if you can handle the heat.

Technically it&#8217;s best to let it cool slightly so it doesn&#8217;t smash while its hot, but if you lack self-control like I do, grab a sharp knife and start cutting uneven chunks of bread.  Slather with butter and go to your happy place 🙂

This is by far the most delicious bread I have ever made and also the easiest! I was unsure of how it would turn out because I didn’t have vital wheat gluten (I swapped 0.5 cups whole wheat for white flour), didn’t have instant yeast, only had a cast iron Dutch oven, and then dropped and broke the glass lid right before baking (aluminum foil worked fine instead of a lid FYI). It was still amazing! I am in awe of how the crust crisped up so perfectly and the inside stayed so moist and spongey. This is definitely a new family favorite!

I tried the recipe-I don’t think the instant pot did anything for it. After second rise which I set in a quiet place-I put the dough in an open loaf pan and cooked without a lid. The body may be a little denser than normal but the flavor is good and tasty. When I get a Lodge wear pot-I’ll try again.

Quick &amp; Easy French Bread has the classic chewy outer crust with a soft, chewy inside. Thanks to the Instant Pot, two beautiful loaves of French Bread are hot out of the oven in under 90 minutes!

Instant Pot French Bread

tbsp quick rise yeast

tbsp sugar (divided)

tbsp oil

flour

Combine 1/2 cup of warm water, the yeast and 1/2 tsp sugar. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes until nice and bubbly.

Add the bubbly yeast and all other ingredients (2 cups of water, remaining sugar, oil, salt and flour) to the bowl of a stand mixer. Using the dough hook, combine the ingredients. Once 'dough' has formed, turn the mixer's speed up a little and let the mixer knead for 5 minutes.

The dough will stick to the sides of the bowl a little but you should be able to roll the dough into a small ball in your hands easily without it sticking.

Pour 1 Tbsp of oil into the instant pot. Place the dough into the Instant Pot and push the yogurt button, adjust it to the normal setting. Roll the dough in oil so it will not stick.&nbsp;

The dough will now rise for 40 minutes. Every 10 minutes you will want to come back and 'knead' the dough a few times. Cover with a lid while you are not 'kneading'. So at 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes you will 'knead' the dough. At 40 minutes you will dump the dough out onto a floured surface

Divide the dough into the amount of loaves you'd like. Use a rolling pin and roll the dough into a large rectangle. Shape the dough by starting at the long rolling and pinching the dough until you have achieved the desired shape. Score the top of the dough with a knife. You may do an egg white wash at this point if desired.

Set the oven to 425°. Let the dough rise until double while the oven is preheating.

Bake at 425° for 10 minutes. Without taking the bread out, turn the oven down to 375° and bake for an additional 20 minutes.

Instant Pot Olive Oil Rosemary No Knead Bread - One of my favorites version/variation of making No-Knead Bread for Holiday Dinner Table Which is Vegan, crusty and scrumptious. A Basic, Foolproof, best Knead Bread recipe, anyone can make this! It comes out just perfect every time!!

Instant Pot Olive Oil Rosemary No Knead Bread

Flour

Dry Yeast

Salt

Sugar

- Extra Virgin Olive oil

Take Luke warm water in a large bowl, add sugar and yeast. Stir once, cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the yeast water should look frothy.

Now take flour, oil, rosemary and salt in a big bowl. Mix well. Add yeast water little at a time. You may not require all the yeast water, depending on the quality of the flour. So I highly recommend, add water slowly.  GIve it a quick stir until blended and all the flour is incorporated. The dough should be rough, shaggy and sticky.

Line the bottom of the instant pot bowl with parchment up the sides. Spray parchment with oil.

Place the dough in the prepared pot, close the lid and press the yogurt button on the Normal Setting. Set the time for 4 Hours. After 4 hours you will notice the dough is dotted with bubbles and has risen more than double in size.

Preheat oven @450 degree F. Place a Dutch oven (I used 3.5-quart size) in the oven to preheat it as well.

Scatter some flour on another piece of parchment paper, remove the dough from an instant pot and parchment paper(the one we used in instant pot) and flip the dough onto the floured Parchment paper. Shape the dough on parchment paper into a tight ball. (I forgot to use the parchment paper). Shaping the dough into a round tight loaf on a parchment paper makes it easier to place the bread in the Dutch oven and take out the bread from the Dutch Oven.

Sprinkle some Rosemary on the dough, Cover it with a towel for about 30 minutes.

Now carefully remove the hot Dutch oven from the oven. Remove the lid and Gently put the dough ball into the Dutch oven.

Sprinkle a light coating of flour over the top.

Take a sharp knife and slash the bread 2 to 3 times, making a cut about 1/2 inch deep. You can skip this step as well.

Put the lid on and pop it in the oven for 30 minutes. After that remove the lid and bake it 10 to 15 minutes more without lid @450 degree F, on the middle rack. (30 minutes lid on and 10 to 15&nbsp;minute without the lid, total 40 to 45 minutes).&nbsp;

Remove the loaf and let it cool on a rack before slicing. to keep it warm, cover with a towel.

Instant Pot No-knead Bread

It is a complete guide to make bread in an instant pot. The instant pot bread can not get any better than this. This bread is fluffy and light with a crispy crust. A step by step detailed recipe that explains how to make bread using pressure cook and bake mode in instant pot.

How to make perfect bread in an Instant pot

310 g All-purpose Flour (2 1/2 cups)

tsp Active dry Yeast Or Sourdough starter- 70 g

yeast

tsp Butter (optional) (melted

Water (240 g)

Activate the active dry yeast by mixing in warm water (100-110 0F) with 1 tsp of sugar. Set aside. It should become foamy and frothy in 5-10 minutes.

Feed the sourdough starter 3-5 hours in advance. Make sure that the starter is ripe by the time you start to knead the dough.

Preparing the leavening agent:

Combine all the wet and dry ingredients in a big bowl. Using the back of a wooden spatula, combine them until the dough comes together. Use hands towards the end if needed. Make sure that there are no patches of dry flour in the dough. Cover with cling wrap or a kitchen towel and let the dough rest for 20 minutes.

Preparing the dough

Now, wet a hand to stretch the dough. Take your hand under the dough and stretch it upwards, now tuck it under the dough on the opposite side. Repeat 4-5 times. Then, cover and let the dough rest for 15 minutes. Come back after 15 minutes and repeat the same process. You should do it 4 times at the interval of 15 minutes, to get smooth dough.

Stretching and folding

Grease the instant pot interior, place the dough inside and close the lid. Proof till the dough doubles in size.

Method 1: Yogurt mode- Ferment- Custom temperature- 95 0F.

Select the custom temperature setting on Yogurt mode and set the temperature somewhere between 85-95 0F for 1-2 hours, depending on how warm your kitchen is. Active dry yeast dough will double up much faster than the sourdough. My yeast dough doubled in 50 minutes, and the sourdough one took about 2 hours.

Method 2: Bake mode-Proofing option- Select time for 2 hours for sourdough and 1 hour for yeast bread. Also, do not place the dough directly in the pot. Instead, put it in a bowl and place the bowl in the IP.

Method 3: Sous Vide Mode - Custom temperature – 90 0F. Do not put the dough directly in the pot.

Method 4: Cold rise overnight in the fridge for best flavor.

Method 5: Kitchen counter or oven with the light turned ON.

Bulk rising the dough

Shape the dough either into rolls or a single boule. For making rolls divide the dough into 7 equal parts and make them into smooth rolls. Place the rolls in a suitable container, depending on how you plan to bake them. (Read the suitable baking container in notes)

Shaping

Let the dough overproof, much more than you would ideally do in the case of oven-baked bread.  Choose the method that best suits you from the bulk rise section.( Also, read the proofing section of the post for more clarity)

Proofing

Method 1: Select BAKE mode – custom- High temperature-30 minutes.

Method 2: Pour 3/4th cup of water in the pot and place the closed container with the shaped bread directly in it. ( Make sure there is no scope of water getting into the container.) Select Pressure cook at High temp. for 30 minutes. When done, let the pressure release naturally. Use a meat or candy thermometer to check if the bread is fully baked. The center of the bread should measure 180-195 0F.

Bake the bread

Replace the lid with the air fryer lid. (do not forget to empty and dry the pot if you pressure cook the bread) Select the broil mode and set the temperature to 400 0F for 12 minutes. ( If you make a boule, it may take longer.)

Alternately bake the bread in the oven, at 420 0F for 12-15 minutes, until a golden-brown crust is formed. Take out of the oven, and brush with melted butter.

Browning or crusting the Instant pot bread

Transfer the bread onto the cooling rack and let the bread cool for 30 minutes before slicing.

Cooling and slicing

This Instant Pot Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Bread recipe has all the wonderful pumpkin pie and cinnamon sugar flavors in a delicious dessert bread.

Instant Pot Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Bread Recipe

Spray a small loaf pan (or another pan/mold that fits inside of the Instant Pot) with non-stick cooking spray. This is the mold we used: https://amzn.to/2WwcXER

In a large mixing bowl whisk the eggs and sugar together until well combined.

Mix in the vegetable oil and room temperature butter, then the pumpkin puree and vanilla. Blend until smooth.

Whisk in the baking powder and salt, then gently fold in the flour. Pour the batter into the pan or mold and spread out evenly.

Place your trivet in the bottom of the Instant Pot. Pour 1 cup of water into the pot over the trivet.

Lower your pan or mold into the pot and close the lid. Turn the knob to SEALING.

Push the MANUAL button (or PRESSURE COOK) and set the timer for 45 minutes.

When the timer goes off, turn the knob to VENTING to release all of the pressure.

Let cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan.

Stir together the sugars and cinnamon. Brush the entire surface and sides of the warm bread with the melted butter, then immediately coat with the cinnamon sugar.

Delicious artisan bread made with your Instant Pot

Place flour, salt and yeast into a bowl.

Pour in warm water (105-110 degrees F)

Stir to combine dough will be dry and shaggy.

Spray liner of Instant Pot and put dough into pot.

Put on lid and place on Yogurt setting and set timer for 4 hours.  Put valve to venting.

Dough is ready when it has doubled in size and has tiny bubbles on the surface.

Remove from Instant Pot and place on lightly floured surface.

Form dough into a loaf, cover with a towel and allow to rest while oven preheats to 450 degrees F.  Place dutch oven with lid on it into the oven while the oven preheats.

Brush loaf with olive oil and a sprinkle of coarse salt.

Remove dutch oven and line it with parchment paper and place loaf of dough into the pan.

Put on lid and return to oven and bake for 30 minutes.  Remove lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Remove bread from pan and allow to cool before slicing.
