Very good recipe. I hate bland fish so I added more thyme, honey and garlic. I used a 2lb filet and it took forever to cook at 350. I had to increase the temperature to 375. The fish was so flaky, moist and tasty. My 2 year old enjoyed it too. I will make it again but change the cooking temperature to 375.

Wonderful healthy week night dinner! I served it with salad and quinoa. Very filling and satisfying. I forgot the the oregano but I think I used extra thyme and it was fresh! I think I would have raised the oven rack to get the fish closer to the broiler. But all in all it was still delicious.

Im a freshman in college and this is the first real meal i've ever made. I added a little too much lemon but other than that it was perfect! Topped it off with some baked asparagus and blueberries for dessert and loved how it turned out.

This Easy Baked Salmon Is Super Impressive

The dos and don&#x27;ts for how to bake salmon in the oven. Healthy baked salmon seasoned with your choice of garlic butter, lemon-dill or cajun seasoning.

How to Bake Salmon

1 1/2-2 lbs. Salmon fillet

salt and black pepper

butter (, melted)

garlic (, minced)

chicken broth (,

lemon juice

honey

parsley and lemon slices (, for garnish, optional)

cajun seasoning ((I love McCormic Cajun Seasoning))

olive oil

dried dill ((or 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped))

Allow salmon to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat gently with a paper towel.

In the meantime,  prep seasonings.For Garlic butter: Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add chicken broth and lemon juice. Cook for 3-5 more minutes to reduce the sauce. Stir in honey. Dill: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.Cajun seasoning: have ingredients ready.  When ready to bake, spread olive oil over filet with a brush and top with desired amount of cajun seasoning.

Place salmon, skin side down, on a large baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper and add desired type of seasoning or sauce.

Bake at 400 degrees F for 12-15 minutes depending on thickness of salmon.   Check for doneness with a thermometer, (aim for no more than 140 degrees F as the salmon will continue to cook a little after removing it from the oven) or use a fork to gently pull back on a section in the thickest part of the filet.  The salmon should flake away easily and look opaque.

Sheet Pan Salmon:

Tear off a large piece of tinfoil (enough to fold over the filet and seal).  Place salmon, skin side down on lightly greased tinfoil. Season with salt and pepper.

Lift up all four sides of the tinfoil, creating a pocket and cover/top salmon with desired seasonings.

Wrap salmon tightly in tinfoil by folding the sides of the tinfoil creating a tight seal.

Bacon Wrapped Salmon is a delicious and easy way to cook up salmon fillets. This salmon recipe is pan fried and then finished off in the oven. Bacon wrapped salmon with a maple glaze.

In a skillet on medium-high heat you will pan sear your bacon salmon for 2-3 minutes. Then flip the fillet over and cook the other side.

Preheat the oven and once the bacon is done searing cook in the oven broiling on high for 3-4 minutes or until the salmon reaches 145 degrees F.

Now, you can flip the bacon salmon over half way through cooking in the oven. That will ensure a more even cook on the bacon.

Once the bacon wrapped salmon is done, you can remove from the oven and brush with the maple syrup if you want. It will add a nice sweetness to the salmon.

Begin by preheating your grill to approximately 350°F to 400°F

Once your grill is warm, add your salmon fillets skin side down onto the grill. If you do not have a pan, you may want to line your grill with aluminum foil, and lightly greased, so that your fish does not fall through the grill grates.

Brush with butter, sprinkle with dried parsley, and top with lemon slices.

Cook your salmon until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.

If desired, top with BBQ sauce, and allow to cook for 5-10 minutes more before removing from the grill. Remove from the grill, serve right away, and enjoy!

Preheat your oven to 400°F

Line a cooking sheet with foil and lightly spray with cooking spray. Cut your salmon fillet into approximately six pieces in place skin side down on the foil.

Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.

Place cast iron in oven for 10 minutes to pre-heat.

Bake the salmon for 15-20 minutes, until the salmon is almost completely cooked through at the thickest part. The cooking time will vary based on the thickness of your salmon. If your side is thinner (around 1-inch thick) check several minutes early to ensure your salmon does not overcook. If your piece is very thick (1 1/2 inches or more), it may need longer.

Broil

Remove the salmon from the oven and carefully open the foil so that the top of the fish is completely uncovered (be careful of hot steam). Change the oven setting to broil, then return the fish to the oven and broil for 3 minutes, until the top of the salmon and the garlic are slightly golden and the fish is cooked through. Watch the salmon closely as it broils to make sure it doesn’t overcook and the garlic does not burn. Remove the salmon from the oven. If it still appears a bit underdone, you can wrap the foil back over the top and let it rest for a few minutes. Do not let it sit too long—salmon can progress from "not done" to "over done" very quickly. As soon as it flakes easily with a fork, it's ready.
