I followed the Recipe thoroughly (excluding the Peanut butter and chocolate chips) and it still came out disgusting. Now I know why the pancakes were dressed up, to cover the true taste.

Usually when I look up these types of recipes they don't work well, come out falling apart or just tasting gross. With this recipe, that is not the case. They came out perfect and actually pancake like. I didn't have flax meal but I just used flax seed and also added some chia seed and like I said they came out great.

This recipe is my favourite ! So easy and good 😋 I love adding in crushed walnuts and cocoa nibs, healthy and delicious!

Hi, are you sure about 4 tsp baking powder? I followed the recipe and they tasted awful. I had to throw them in the garbage.  Sorry.

Possibly the protein powder. Not all of them react the same when cooked or heated. I’ve made some really horribly tasting stuff using protein powder. These turned out great. First time too I used this particular brand of protein powder

The flavor was nice, but they were incredibly dry. I’m not sure if it was my protein powder, but next time I’ll be adding greek yogurt to the recipe to try to mitigate the sandy, moisture-thieving texture.

THESE ARE AMAZING! My mom always makes me pancakes for my Birthday, so I asked if we could try protein pancakes. They did not fail! So delicious, I loved experimenting with what to add to these! I made a peanut butter drizzle, I tried it with honey, strawberries, blueberries!! Protein pancakes are a healthy and well-balanced breakfast idea for a healthy lifestyle.  These 4 easy protein pancake recipes will help boost your energy and wont leave you feeling gross afterwards.

How to Make Protein Pancakes + 4 Easy Protein Pancake Recipes

rolled oats, (uncooked)

tsp baking powder

sea salt

vanilla protein powder ((I use this one))

tbsp flaxseed meal

tbsp coconut oil, (for cooking)

banana, (for garnish)

maple syrup, (for serving)

bananas

chocolate protein powder

tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

raspberries, (for garnish)

potato

flaxseed meal

tsp pure vanilla extract

chopped pecans, (for garnish)

tbsp pure maple syrup, (plus more for serving)

strawberries, (for garnish)

In a blender, add all the ingredients except for the coconut oil.

Blend this until very smooth.

To cook these banana protein pancakes, heat a skillet or griddle over medium to medium-high heat and melt a little coconut oil.  You could also use some organic, grass-fed butter.

Once the oil is melted, pour about 1/3 of a cup of the batter onto the hot griddle.  This will make approximately 4 in pancakes, which is what we prefer in our house.

Cook the pancake for 2-4 minutes, until the edges begin to turn from a shiny to a dull and bubbles appear in the center of that pancake.

Flip using a spatula and cook an additional 2-3 minutes, or until golden-brown and cooked through.

Repeat with remaining batter.

To serve, you can top with some fresh sliced bananas and drizzle with pure maple syrup.

To Make the Banana Protein Pancakes:

Blend together until very smooth.

To cook these chocolate protein pancakes, heat your griddle over medium to medium-high heat and melt a little coconut oil.

Once the oil is melted, pour about 1/3 of a cup of the batter onto the hot griddle.

To serve, I like to top with some fresh raspberries and drizzle with pure maple syrup.

To Make the Chocolate Protein Pancakes:

Blend until smooth.

Add the coconut oil over medium-high heat and heat until melted, then pour about 1/3 of a cup of the batter onto the hot griddle.

Cook the batter for 2-4 minutes, until the edges begin to turn from a shiny to a dull and bubbles appear in the center of that pancake.

To serve, I like to top these sweet potato protein pancakes with chopped pecans and drizzled with pure maple syrup.

Make the oat flour. Add rolled oats to your blender and blend for 10-15 seconds until it is broken down into a flour-like consistency.

Combine your dry ingredients. Add oat flour, protein powder, coconut flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl and mix well to combine.

Mix your wet ingredients. In a separate medium bowl, mash your bananas until smooth. Add your egg, and milk and mix well to combine. Add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients and mix until absorbed and lumps are gone. Try not to overmix. The batter should be pretty thick. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes.

Cook. Heat up a large nonstick skillet or griddle over low to medium heat. Once hot, add cooking fat and let it warm up. Using a 1/4 cup as a scoop, form into equal size pancakes. I get about 5 (you may need to cook in batches depending on how big your pan is). Cook for 3-4 minutes until small bubbles start to form on the outside. There won&#39;t be a lot of bubbles. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
