(210 g) raw pecan halves

nutritional yeast (optional, but recommended)

Prep: 

Preheat the oven to 350F and set a baking sheet aside.

Season: 

Add the pecans to the baking sheet. Mix the oil, nutritional yeast, rosemary, garlic, black pepper, and salt together in a small bowl, then pour over the pecans. Use your hands to toss the pecans until everything is evenly coated and spread out across the baking tray.

I believe the recipe is good, but the baking time was not good for my oven. My pecans burnt. I was by the oven the entire time. I'll try it again with less heat next time.

I followed the directions exactly -- using use raw pecans and flipping halfway through cooking time-- continuing to cook the full time even though they smelled so good already.  Once they cooled, they were perfect.  I can't believe such a simple recipe tastes so good.

Twice the baking time needed. Cut back on butter also. Mine burned and were greasy.  The package gave accurate baking times, but I hadn’t seen that.  These were for an event and I couldn’t make another batch- salvaged them with a few sprinkles of tajin and served.
