Old Fashioned Molasses Thumbprint Cookies

c crisco oil

dark molasses

tsp baking soda

tsp each of cinnamon,allspice and nutmeg

tsp salt

c brown sugar, firmly packed

- 2 1/2 c all purpose flour

sugar jam

Herbed Dipping Oil

olive oil

Tbsp minced italian parsley

fresh garlic crushed

red pepper flakes

black pepper

herbes de provence

Tbsp balsamic vinegar

sea salt

I use this mix often, it's better for you than the store bought packets.

Zesty Italian Dressing Mix

Tbsp oregano, dried

This makes enough for 1 pork tenderloin or 4 pork chops.

I am not a fan of a lot of processed food so I don't care for jarred gravies and sauces. I love rotisserie chicken though. It is so juicy and flavorful depending on where you get it and it is ready when you get home. So if I know I am going to pick up a chicken I make this ahead of time and warm it up to serve with the chicken....

pkg knorr homestyle chicken bouillon

tsp each ground rosemary, thyme, and sage
