Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

300 grams/10 oz spaghetti

unsalted butter

garlic (, minced)

onion (, finely chopped)

tomato

/ 125 ml milk (, low fat)

tsp dried basil,

tsp chicken stock

pepper + salt

Cook pasta in a big pot of boiling water for time per packet MINUS 2 minutes. Just before draining, scoop out a mugful of pasta cooking water.

Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and onion, cook until translucent - about 2 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients. Stir until parmesan is melted. Turn heat up slightly and simmer for 2 minutes. Adjust salt to taste.

Add pasta. Toss for 1 to 2 minutes or until sauce thickens and is clinging to pasta instead of swimming on the base of the skillet (video shows this well). Use reserved pasta cooking water if required to thin the sauce out if it gets too thick.

Serve immediately, garnished with more parmesan and parsley if desired.

Creamy Tomato Pasta

Boil a large, salted pot of water for your pasta and cook it al dente according to package instructions.

Meanwhile (once the pasta starts to cook), add the butter to a skillet over medium-high heat. Once it melts, add the garlic and sauté for about a minute, stirring constantly.

Add in the tomato paste, tomato sauce, cream, and Italian seasoning. Stir until it&#039;s nice and smooth. Let the sauce cook for about 5 minutes or until it&#039;s thickened to your liking (it should be very gently bubbling, so you may need to turn down the heat).

Season the sauce with salt &amp; pepper as needed (I&#039;m pretty generous with both). If the sauce is a little too acidic/tangy for your liking, add in a pinch of sugar.

Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce (add a splash of hot pasta water if the sauce gets too thick). Serve immediately with plenty of parmesan cheese over top.

Angel Hair pasta

(28 ounces) crushed tomatoes

TBS dried Italian seasoning

white wine

Cook the pasta al dente in a pot of boiling water according to package directions. It should be slightly undercooked. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain pasta when done.

In a large frying pan, heat the oil on medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for two minutes.

Add the tomatoes, seasoning and wine. Bring to a simmer and cover. Cook for 15 minutes or until sauce is very thick while stirring well. Add salt and red pepper to taste.

Add the half and half to the pan and cook until bubbly. Stir well.

Add the pasta and water to the pan. Toss and cook for a few minutes or until sauce is thick and pasta is well coated. ***(See note)

Serve in bowls garnished with basil and cheese.

Easy Tomato Cream Sauce

Heat olive oil in a 12-inch saute pan over MEDIUM-LOW heat. Add onion and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 to 3 minutes, or until onion has softened and is translucent. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian Seasoning, basil, sugar, salt, crushed red pepper (if using) and black pepper and stir well to combine. Add cream and Parmesan and cook until warmed through and bubbly, 1 to 2 minutes.

Toss with the cooked pasta of your choice and garnish with basil, if desired.
