This Meal Prep Whole 30 Sweet Potato Hash is a delicious make ahead breakfast option for busy weekdays and it's jam-packed with protein! It's also a great savoury breakfast option that is egg-free! 

Meal Prep Whole 30 Sweet Potato Hash

olive oil

sweet potatoes, diced

red onion, diced

kale

tbsp chili powder

salt and pepper

lb Ground chicken

garlic

tsp dijon mustard

fennel seeds

tsp smoked paprika

onion powder

Preheat olive oil in a large skillet over med-high heat. Add sweet potatoes and half of chili powder, plus a sprinkle of salt. Saute for 15-20 minutes until softened, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, mix together ingredients for sausage. Add to skillet once sweet potatoes have cooked 15 min, breaking up sausage with a spoon and cooking for 3-4 minutes until browned.

Add in bell peppers, onions, and remaining chili powder and salt &amp; pepper, cooking another five minutes. Stir in kale and remove from heat, then divide among 4 glass meal prep bowls. Serve and enjoy - will last in fridge up to 5 days.

This Italian Sausage Bread is stuffed with meaty, cheesy goodness and eats like a sandwich!

Italian Sausage Bread

parsley flakes

Italian seasoning (divided)

salt

black pepper

garlic powder

onion

fennel seed

paprika

red pepper flakes

99% turkey breast

spinach leaves

13.8 oz can Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust dough

oz shredded 2% Mozzarella Cheese

egg (beaten)

Parmesan cheese

garlic salt

In a mixing bowl, combine the parsley, 1 teaspoon of the Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, minced onion, fennel seed, paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes and stir to make an Italian sausage seasoning mix. Add the ground turkey and stir with a fork (or mush with clean hands) to blend the spices evenly into the ground turkey to make turkey sausage.

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Drizzle the olive oil in a large skillet or saute pan and bring to med-high heat. Add the turkey sausage mixture from step 1 and cook, breaking up into small chunks, for 4-5 minutes until cooked through. Transfer the cooked sausage to a mixing bowl and stir in the chopped spinach. Let the sausage cool for 5 minutes while you complete the next step.

Open the can of pizza dough and unroll into a rectangle onto a piece of parchment paper. You’ll want your dough to be about 9”x14” (does not need to be exact), so you can lightly roll the edges out a bit with a rolling pin if necessary. Sprinkle 2 ounces of the shredded Mozzarella across the surface of the dough, leaving about an inch border all the way around.

Add the remaining 4 ounces of Mozzarella to the sausage and spinach in the mixing bowl and stir to combine. Spread this mixture across the surface of the dough, again leaving a one-inch border around the edges. Starting at the longer end, roll up the dough over the contents until entirely rolled (similar to stromboli or a cinnamon roll). Press the edges together and tuck under to seal the sides. Move the roll to the center of the parchment paper, making sure the seam side if down and transfer the parchment paper to a baking sheet.

Using a pastry brush, brush the outside of the roll with the beaten egg (you will not use the whole egg). In a small dish, stir together the Parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and remaining ¼ teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the roll while it is wet from the egg. Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing into 6 pieces.

Preheat oven to 450 F. Microwave squash one at a time for 2 minutes each. Peel and slice butternut squash in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds then arrange halves on a parchment lined baking sheet, cut sides up. Drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil then season with salt and pepper. Bake for 45 minutes until softened.

Meanwhile, mix fennel, paprika, garlic powder, salt &amp; pepper into raw ground turkey to create sausage. Pan fry with 1 tbsp olive oil over med-high heat for 7-8 minutes until fully browned and cooked through. Stir in kale then set aside.

Remove squash from oven and scrape out a thin layer of flesh. Either reserve flesh for another use or toss with cooked turkey and kale, then stuff back into squash and bake another 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

This One Pan Sausage Peppers and Onions is made with turkey sausage, bell peppers, mushrooms and onions tossed in a simple tomato sauce.

One Pan Sausage Peppers and Onions

turkey sausages (1 lb of sausage)

(8 ounces) package mushrooms, quartered

yellow onions, sliced

green, yellow and red pepper, chopped

& pepper

tsp red chili flakes

jarred pasta sauce

Heat olive oil over med-high heat in large frying pan. Add turkey sausages and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and slice when cool.

Without wiping pan clean, add mushrooms to skillet and saute until juices start to release, about 5 minutes. Add onions and peppers, cooking another 2 minutes or so.

Add sausages back in, along with garlic, salt &amp; pepper and red chili flakes. Add pasta sauce. Cook mixture another 2-3 minutes until sausages are fully cooked and veggies are softened.

Divide among 4 meal prep bowls or enjoy for dinner. Leftovers will last up to 5 days in the fridge - enjoy!

Meal Prep Sausage Peppers and Onions Skillet

These Turkey Sausage Breakfast Burritos are filling, flavorful, and so easy to make ahead and eat all week!

Turkey Sausage Breakfast Burritos

turkey breast

salt (divided)

black pepper (divided)

sage

thyme

marjoram

eggs

oz 50% reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese (divided (I used Cabot))

salsa ((I used medium heat, feel free to use hot if you want these spicy!))

cilantro

low carb 8-inch tortillas ((I used Tumaro’s Low-In-Carb Multi-Grain Wraps))

Place the ground turkey in a mixing bowl and add ¼ teaspoon of the salt, ¼ teaspoon of the black pepper, the sage, the thyme, the marjoram, the crushed red pepper, and the paprika. Mash/stir together with a fork or your hands until well combined (in this step you added sausage seasonings to the ground turkey).

Mist a large skillet with cooking spray and bring over medium heat. Cook the seasoned ground turkey, breaking it up into small chunks, until cooked through. Transfer the cooked turkey into a clean mixing bowl. Wipe out the skillet with a paper towel.

Combine the eggs and remaining ¼ teaspoon of salt and 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper and add a splash of water (I usually quickly woosh it under tap water once or twice).Use a whisk to beat the eggs. Mist the skillet with cooking spray and bring over medium heat. Add the beaten eggs and cook, pushing them around with a spatula to scramble, for a few minutes until cooked through. Use the spatula to break the scrambled eggs up into small chunks. Transfer the eggs to the mixing bowl holding the turkey sausage. Add the shredded cheddar, salsa, and cilantro and stir to combine.

Lay the tortillas on a clean, dry surface and divide the sausage and egg mixture amongst them (about 2/3 cup of filling on each tortilla). Fold in the edges of a tortilla and roll it up to make a wrap. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.

Mist a griddle pan or large skillet with cooking spray and bring to medium heat. Place the rolled burritos onto the hot skillet seam-side-down and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden. Flip the burritos and cook for another 2 minutes until the other side is golden as well.

KRAFT Olive Oil

(14.5 oz) fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth

dry green lentils, uncooked

Heat vinaigrette in large saucepan on medium heat. Add chopped vegetables; cook 3 to 5 min. or until crisp-tender, stirring frequently.

Add chicken broth, lentils and thyme; stir. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 20 min., stirring occasionally.

Stir in barley; simmer 15 min. or until lentils and barley are tender, stirring occasionally.

Add sausage; cook 5 min. or until sausage is heated through, stirring occasionally. Add spinach; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or just until wilted.

Make something different this fall and try making the Oktoberfest Sausage Kabobs. Grill turkey sausage, red cabbage, apple, red pepper and Brussels sprouts covered in vinaigrette mustard dressing to make these Oktoberfest Sausage Kabobs.

Tbsp. GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard

Tbsp. KRAFT Zesty Lime Vinaigrette Dressing

Mix mustard and dressing until blended. Remove half the mustard mixture; reserve for serving with the grilled kabobs.

Thread sausage onto 8 skewers alternately with remaining ingredients. Grill 5 min. Turn kabobs; brush with some of the remaining mustard mixture.

Reduce grill to medium-low heat. Grill kabobs additional 10 min. or until sausage is heated through and vegetables are crisp-tender, turning and brushing occasionally with remaining mustard mixture.

Serve kabobs with the reserved mustard mixture.

Tbsp. HEINZ Apple Cider Vinegar

Wash collard greens, taking care to remove all grit. Remove and discard hard stems. Roll up greens in small bunches; cut crosswise into thin strips.

Heat dressing in Dutch oven or small stockpot on medium heat. Add sausage, onions, garlic and crushed pepper; stir. Cook 4 to 5 min. or until onions are crisp-tender, stirring frequently.

Stir in broth. Add collard greens; stir. Simmer on medium-low heat 25 to 30 min. or until greens are tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in vinegar; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally.

This simple, homemade Turkey Breakfast Sausage is a tasty, healthy, versatile breakfast treat!

Turkey Breakfast Sausage

¼ teaspoon dried marjoram ((or dried oregano))

¼ teaspoon smoked paprika

¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Stir together all of the spices in a small dish until thoroughly mixed. Place the ground turkey in a mixing bowl and add the spice mixture. Using clean hands or a fork, mix the spices into the ground turkey until well combined. If possible, cover and refrigerate for at least an hour, or overnight so flavors can meld.

If making patties: Split the turkey mixture into eight balls, 2 ounces each. Press the balls into patties, about ½ inch thick. Mist a large griddle pan or skillet with cooking spray and bring over medium heat. When hot, place the patties on the pan in a single layer, not touching each other. Cook for 4-5 minutes and then flip. Cook on the other side for anther 4-5 minutes until cooked through.If making crumbles: Mist a large skillet or sauté pan with cooking spray and bring over medium heat. Add the turkey mixture and cook, breaking it up into small chunks for 4-5 minutes until cooked through.

The seasonings are great, but I found I needed much more of them. I will try increasing by 2 - 2.5 times. Maybe even more salt.

Gotta expect some variants on your recipe, right? Let me say up front that you have a great basic spice approach for this. Definitely deserves the 5-star rating even tho I change many things.

I'm a fat-adapted eater (very low carb*) and grind my own chicken sausage from thighs + skin, using your recipe w/ more red pepper flakes (like 3-4x), using Korean gochugaru, which are a "fruitier" flavor... also ~1/2 tsp cayenne. In addition, I use smoked Hungarian paprika. I have Old Guy taste buds and need some kick.

All this gets "kneaded" into the chopped-up chicken to sit overnight before the grind (your notion that meat needs to "steep" in spices is dead on).

Absolutely delicious!!! I wasn't a ground turkey fan but this recipe has changed my mind.

Really tasty, even with the salt cut by half.  I added about 1/2 cup of finely grated apple to add sweetness and moisture.  It was still pretty dry, but served with the low fat French toast with maple/applesauce syrup it was fine.

I followed this recipe exactly as written. I didn't have marjoram so I used oregano instead.  I decided to let it set overnight in the fridge to let the flavors set in and it was Delicious! Taste exactly like jimmy dean pork sausage but healthier. Thank you so much for an awesome recipe. This one is a keeper.

Mouthwatering homemade breakfast treat boasting the perfect balance of spices. You&#39;ll love this hearty low-carb meal that makes every bite feel like a holiday. It&#39;s a super fast and easy recipe that completes delicious, stress-free mornings!

Breakfast Turkey Sausage

¾-1 teaspoon (3.75-5 grams) salt

1½ teaspoon (3 grams) black pepper

(5 grams) garlic, (minced)

(0.80 grams) fresh thyme ((or ½ teaspoon dried thyme))

¼ teaspoon (0.5 grams) cayenne pepper

pound (450 grams) ground turkey

(9-18 grams) honey

Combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl or plate.  

Place ground turkey in a large bowl, then add the blend of spices to the bowl of ground turkey.  

Mix well with your hands, add honey and continue until thoroughly combined. Shape into patties (about eight patties).

Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour or preferably overnight for the patty to absorb all the spice flavors. 

Heat oil or butter in a large cast-iron skillet, then add the patties. Fry for about 4 minutes per side or until no longer pink in the middle. Do not overcook the patty.

Place patties on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. 

Thank you for this tasty and easy recipe! I used maple syrup instead of honey and the mixture was a bit loose, so I added dry oats to bind it. Then I put them in my air fryer for about 12 minutes. I will be adding this to my breakfast rotation.

This recipe turned out better than expected.

Fantastic recipe.  Made it twice now, the addition of a little celery seed, or substituting celery salt for the regular salt, provides a nice boost in flavour too.  But as is, it's really really good.  Thank you!
